Some people might compare buying a new cell phone to pulling teeth or buying a new car off the lot! My experience was much much better thanks to Carlos from the T Mobile Store in Newnan. Buying four new phones, waiting a short amount of time, downloading into the new phones and wiping the old ones clean and ordering one they didn't have the color desired for one took about an hour and a half. He is extremely unprofessional, and I question why Robert Glenn is in that position. I bought a new Samsung flip phone, and within a month, it died due to a software update that rendered it unusable. The store employees were aware of the issue, and after waiting three hours, I was told to call customer service to get a new phone. When the replacement phone arrived, the same issue occurred after an update, making it unusable again. I asked to return the phone since it was under a month old, but the store said they couldn't help and directed me to customer service. Customer service then informed me that the store needed to handle the return, essentially revealing that the store had lied to me. By this point, I had lost over six hours of my time. I called the store to inform them I was coming in and was told they couldn't help me. I asked for the manager at 10:30 AM and was told he was busy with a customer and would call me back. By 5 PM, Robert Glenn, the store manager, still hadn't called, so I called back and was put on hold for over 40 minutes. When I finally got through, he told his employee he had no time to talk to me and would call me tomorrow. The service I received from T-Mobile was awful, and Mr. Glenn was totally rude. I decided to call the Fairburn store and explained my issue. They had me come in, and within an hour, the situation was resolved. Ms. Rosita at the Fairburn store truly cares about the customer experience and embodies what T-Mobile used to be--total quality service. She reviewed my account, saw the notes indicating that the Newnan store had misinformed me, and immediately proceeded to return the phone and allowed me to buy a new one. He was courteous, able to answer our questions, empathetic to our issues with our current provider, and went the distance in making sure we received all the promotions available. Geoffrey took his time with us and even face-timed one of our children to make sure they were transferred over correctly. This experience happened on a Saturday afternoon while the store was quite busy. You don't get that type of service at Verizon. On my first visit I met with David as he was very helpful and took the time to help try to resolve my issue. I decided that I would return and investigate upgrading my phone. My husband and I came to this T-Mobile location to buy a new phone. There were two employees helping customers that came in before us so we waited about 20 minutes for service patiently. There was one older gentleman who came in 10 minutes after we did and was also waiting. A new employee came in for their work shift and was told by one of the other employees that we were next for service. We smiled and he asked us what we needed. As we walked over to the phone we were going to point out we like to purchase, the older gentleman stepped in front of us and interrupted if the employee Jeffrey would help him with something. To which he took the older gentleman over to the help desk and started helping him. Which then left us standing there ignored when he was helping us in the first place. The older man was rude in the first place for jumping in front of us and interrupting, but what was worse was the employee not telling this man to wait his turn and ignoring paying customers who waited patiently for service. We left and went to the T-Mobile in Peachtree City where an employee there was professional, and very well mannered in helping us buy a phone. I will never go to the Newnan T-Mobile again. I'm not sure what the deal was today. My husband and I never go into the store because we don't change our phones that often. It was finally time to get my husband a new phone and I was excited for him to finally get an iPhone. This place totally sucked the excitement out of us. Just like the other reviewer said, they did not seem to care and they would ask us if we had any questions and when we asked they didn't seem like they even wanted to answer. The first lady we encountered seemed like she wanted nothing to do with us even though she approached us first. We asked what kind of deals they had and she was being very short and said "well what phone do you want", which yeah I understand that but the deals help us narrow down our choices. Then she left the store to go on break I guess. Another lady then helped us, she was more informative but also seemed like she didn't want to be there. The whole time we were there we felt like we were an annoyance to them instead of customers. My husband didn't even buy a case or protector there because he didn't want to spend another minute in there. Then at the end of our transaction the lady asked us to leave her all 10's on her review lol. We're not rude people. That was a pretty horrible experience I almost just walked out twice. So rude and abrasive, she did not want to be bothered at all, I don't know if it was just me or she hates all older white men, but I seriously considered just going to another service provider and starting over with a new different phone number. It's just I had this T-Mobile number for so long and foolishly thought I was valued as a customer, but her hatred and meanness through the whole process almost had me give up. Twice. I honestly don't know why people that hate other people get into any kind of customer service she was so full of hate and contempt for me and her job, and as I waited and wondered if she was in fact still "helping" me I could see how some of the other customers were actually being treated nicely during the long painful awkward silences of her "helping" me where any question from me was scorned with a, "you can do that on your own later." I paid and got out of there my day ruined never to return. Hopefully my friends who have phones can help me since T-Mobile certainly would not. read more
