We had an amazing experience the first time we met with Chris - he took care of our needs, answered all our questions and got us out the door with exactly what we wanted in record time, so we kept his card and reached out to him about a year later. (Yes! His service was that good so we reached out again when were were ready to upgrade because we knew it would be a really good experience and he'd take care of us. Chris is simply the kind of guy that is "going to make it in life". Once again he gave us incredible service and the awesomeness available he could "throw in". This time when we reached out before arriving he was ready for us to arrive and had ALL of the things ready for us. Knew exactly what we wanted and all the little details. I strongly recommend not buying anything from t-mobile. while the staff in the store seem nice, they will sell you plans and services that are either lies or bait and switch. One example is that when we signed up for a plan, they included a free phone upgrade. However after the first bill we were being charged. it too about 12 calls and four months to resolve, at which point we ended up getting credits at the end of our contract because they are too garbage to refund. Another example we returned out 5G gateway be as the service was terrible, Even though they confirmed receipt they are unable to find the devices in their facilities. Another dozen calls, $250 added to our bill , and nobody competent or concerned enough to resolve the issue. If you love mediocre service, being over charged, and consistently lied to, this is the place to go. Otherwise I strongly recommend you visit a Verizon or ATT store before getting locked into a contact with these abusers. read more

I went there today to ask about my senior plan. Manager fools around with my phone, retrieves my data and says, "I can can drop that by 30 dollars right now but you ought to call customer service." Hmmm, OK, and I'm wondering why I have been overcharged that easy discount for who knows how long? It sure changed from the "promotional" deal going in. The problem is that when you take the discount for autopay you tend to forget about when they switch amounts and that 55 dollars/mo becomes 100. The people working there can be nice but they will be very short with you if a commission is not coming their way. They also put the protection plan on the wrong phone when we picked up a $900 iPhone 16. Well, something did happen to the 16 and I'm SOL. My experience at the T-Mobile Today March 25th 2026 location off of Carson and cherry was completely unacceptable. I walked into the store and was the first customer waiting. I was told, "we'll be right with you," which I acknowledged. However, about five minutes later, another customer walked in after me and was immediately helped. Within seconds, staff were asking for her name, phone number, and assisting her while I was still standing there, ignored. No one took my information. No one asked what I needed. No one acknowledged that I had been waiting longer. Instead, I was skipped entirely. Only after helping her did they turn to me and say there was "someone ahead" of me. That is simply not true. I was physically there first, and the staff chose to disregard that. As a customer, the difference in treatment was impossible to ignore. I was overlooked, deprioritized, and treated as if I didn't matter, while another customer who arrived after me was immediately prioritized. That is not just poor service it raises serious concerns about how customers are being treated at this location. There is no excuse for this. Customer service is not optional, and it is not selective. You do not get to pick and choose who deserves help. This location needs immediate accountability. No customer should walk in and feel dismissed, ignored, or treated unfairly. Do better. read more

Located off Carson St in Long Beach. I usually go to the one closer to my work since it's minutes away but they didn't have the caps they didn't get their shipment. So I went to this location which was about 5 mins away. Came here I had trouble connecting which was funny you have T-Mobile service and can't connect to the app or their Wi-Fi but the guy was cool seeing that I am on T-Mobile and gave me the cap and when I got back to the office I redeemed it. On Sunday Aug 10, I visited this T-mobile store to purchase a new iPhone Pro 16. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing due to the poor attitude and lack of professionalism from the employee who assisted me. The employee seemed rushed, was short and rude in his responses, and handed me the phone claiming everything was ready without ensuring it actually was. When I attempted to transfer data from my old phone, I received an error stating the SIM card was not compatible. I returned to the store immediately, but waited over 30 minutes before anyone helped me. A different employee connected my phone to an unknown device, left for a long period, and when he returned, the phone was locked. He admitted he didn't know what to do. He then sent me to another store, claiming they could unlock the phone. When I arrived, I was informed that they do not perform that service. To their credit, the staff there were kind and even apologized for the situation. I now have a brand-new phone that I cannot use, my old phone is inoperable, and I am being forced to visit an Apple Store to fix an issue entirely caused by your employee. This has wasted my time and ruined what should have been an exciting day. read more

T mobile should be either fined or at the very least severely reprehended for their methods of business. In 2021 I needed a new phone from Sprint/ t mobile and that's all I needed. During the process the manager said "here take these". The manager handed me a watch and an iPad. Stupid me, I thought they were free. Come to find out, the store was closing and he wanted to remove his stock. I recently needed to change my phone carrier, in May 2023 (thank gowd). So the employee for my new carrier (AT and T) said you are still being charged for your watch and iPad!!! So there began my frustrating on going nightmare to cancel this IPad. Turns out, I've been not only paying nearly $40 extra a month for this thing I've NEVER Even turned on let alone used. (This is also my fault because I didn't look hard enough at my bill...) But I have to pay $70 to cancel it completely. Otherwise I continue to pay for it. What??? The three pre-pubescent employees that stood on the other side of the table judging me all said, "yes that's how you end the lease. You owe us $70." All I could say is " but I have never even turned it on!?" "But, you signed the lease..." Yes I did. not knowing I was signing a lease for the iPad as well . But again the manager never even broke it down for me. Assuming that I would just not knowtast my bill. Which it turns out they were right. I didn't. In my defense, I have a serious learning disability and reading very small print is next to impossible. OMG this is a nightmare. If I had purposely bought the iPad and used it I'd suck it up and pay for it. But T-mobile is committing extortion. Shame. They will squeeze every drop of money from me with regards to my T-Mobile account. Even though I no longer have an account with them...? This company clearly hires very young inexperienced people who have no idea what customer service is. They don't see the long term analysis of treating people badly. Yes I signed the phone lease in 2021. I only thought I was signing on for my new phone. As the manager never told me any of the extra charges I would accrue and that the iPad would be considered another phone line. Now, in attempting to not pay the additional $40 dollars extra a month: I've been sent to four different locations. And told to call T mobile customer service phone line in the Philippines (who by the way were horribly inafective.) And after all that to be told "oh yeah, you owe us $70." Stay as far away from T Mobile as you can. Really. Finally I know that chances are that all phone companies are deceiving and that they will do just about anything to get your money. Yeppers, but if you like being lied too, taken advantage of and treated as if you're an idiot... Then by all means, you do you. Ask more questions. Read everything. And do your research. I came into this store on Saturday morning looking for an upgrade to my grandson's phone. Really didn't have to wait that long which surprised me, sat at a table, male sales rep came out from the back, Never introduced himself, I told him what I wanted and as soon as he realized that I wasn't looking for a 900 or $1300 phone for my 13 year old grandson he pretty much dismissed me. I asked him the differences between a couple of the phones but was not very informative. So I walked out empty-handed. On Sunday I went to the T-Mobile store in Bixby Knolls on Atlantic & San Antonio in Long Beach, met by the manager, Sam, who introduced himself right away. I was then taken care of by a female associate who was courteous, respectful and knew what she was talking about. So learn a lesson and treat your customers correctly. I went home and checked my billing statement and noticed that the salesperson signed me up for an $18 monthly protection plan that we never discussed she never told me that I would be charged. First off, Yadira is wonderful. She helped us when three other stores couldn't. T-Mobile seriously needs to work on centralizing their plans. They advertise a tourist plan for $30 for 21 days. It says on their website to order online or pick up in store then activate online when ready. Nearly 4 hours later and we are still waiting... Not because of customer service, again, the service at the store here is great and Yadira deserves a huge raise and promotion (she went above and beyond and knew way more than a regional training manager at another store!) The problem was, system.wide problems at T-Mobile and just the fact that T-Mobile advertises a product (tourist sim kit) that is nearly impossible to get and activate when your guests get to the state. So thank you, Yadira, for EVERYTHING that you did and all the time you spent on this, we really appreciate it. An Thank you, T-Mobile, for giving a demonstration of why we will be staying with AT&T and Apple. T-Mobile... Tourist plan. $30. Make a damn kit! Throw a sim card onto a paper with a UPC for a dirty dollar plan. Get it in your stores. Not that difficult! Yadira=5 stars T-Mobile 0 stars Adding in. 1 of the Sims would not work. 4 more hours with customer service on the phone with tech and customer service "specialists" who knew absolutely nothing. I write this review as a cautionary tale for all Verizon customers who are thinking about switching. BACKGROUND Until 2 weeks ago, I was a Verizon customer with $30 unlimited data. Verizon raised my rates to $50/month for data last month so I would be paying approximately $170 for 2 lines. I decided I would simply go with T-Mobile who was offering "unlimited" data for 4-lines for $180 + taxes (approximately $205/month). At the time I thought I was brilliant to practically halve my bill but little did I know I would completely regret my decision to switch. I use an iPhone 5S and would consider myself a frequent user of my smart phone using between 6-20GB of data a month on my phone, usually from FaceTime, music streaming, or video streaming when I'm on public transit. I used to love my smart phone because I would be able to video-chat my family on the go without issue, and never had issues streaming music while driving. Those days are dead. PRICES Just to clarify, Unlimited in T-mobile is NOT unlimited. You are throttled after hitting 23GB in areas that are experiencing congestion which will likely be in any area that you very likely want good service such as in Disneyland, airports, and malls. Also, you must pay $15 per SIM card for each phone that you want to port. INDOOR COVERAGE T-Mobile indoor coverage is awful and don't buy their "extended spectrum LTE" coverage lies. No iPhone except the 6S supports the 700 Mhz Band 12 spectrum that they're touting so unless you want to shell out $650-850 for a new phone, you're not going to benefit. In order to TRUELY see their coverage, you have to look at their coverage maps in the beginning of 2015 where they don't include the extended spectrum LTE in their maps. I get very slow, spotty service in my home in Long Beach, in stores, and in the hospital, and have many dropped calls. In the hospital I'm lucky if I get 1-bar of service and in Costco I usually have 0. OUTDOOR COVERAGE Outdoor coverage I thought would be better but I can't even consistently stream music on my 10 minute commute down Wardlow to Torrance! My phone has trouble buffering 4MB music files from Apple Music! 4 bars my ***. The same issues are experienced with my wife and father who use a 5S and 6 Plus respectively. Also, there isn't some T-Mobile specific iPhone 5S that enables more frequency bands so I do have the correct phone in case you're thinking about suggesting that to me :-/. TRAVELING CROSS COUNTRY Oh, and traveling... get prepared for disappointment. My wife's parents who live in Massachusetts switched over from Verizon as well and visited California for Thanksgiving. On their drive from California back to Massachusetts after Thanksgiving, they effectively had 0 coverage between major cities and couldn't do anything internet-related at all, most of the time being on unusable 2G service. They couldn't book a hotel online and ended up staying in a motel. When they had Verizon they practically had coast-to-coast service. WITHIN CALIFORNIA In my own experiences driving from Long Beach to San Francisco, I suffered the same painful issues, having basically 2G service at best on the 5-freeway between the top of Los Angeles and the start of the Bay. On our drive from San Fran to Monterey and had simply awful data coverage around the coasts. CUSTOMER SERVICE So a few days ago they started a promotion that Verizon customers would receive a $100 gift card for switching to T-mobile. With me switching just 12 days earlier, I thought I would be eligible too but NOPE, SORRY. No promotion for me! I didn't even use T-Mobile's port-over promotion because I wasn't on contract. Thanks for loving all your existing subscribers T-Mobile. CONCLUSIONS I regret switching from Verizon to T-mobile. My phone is no longer the convenient source of entertainment and knowledge that it used to be, and the only way my family will be able to take advantage of their supposedly better 700 Mhz spectrum (and stay within the iOS ecosystem) is by spending a couple thousand dollars to buy iPhone 6Ss for the rest of the family. I would give them 1-star but their rates really are very good IF you only shop, drive, and reside in areas of good LTE coverage which is highly unlikely. T-Mobile might be good for people who have never had a good cellular carrier before but for people who are used to having pretty much comprehensive cellphone coverage whereever they go, T-Mobile is a nightmare. I'm pondering going back to Verizon and begging for my overpriced unlimited plan back. read more

Came to the nearest T-Mobile to update my plan and got a really good deal with Scott K assisting me. I left the store with the Galaxy S5, an Otterbox cover, and Scott even put on the screen cover for me. I went on a Saturday morning shortly after it opened and about 4 people were working, I waited about 10 minutes before being assisted because all the workers were preoccupied with other customers. T-Mobile doesn't offer any more thrifty plans so everything is unlimited now (talk/txt/data). It is hard to save money but now you don't have to worry about going over the limit. read more

Lonnel took ownership of my issues - problems transferring contacts, pix and apps front a faulty Note4 to its replacement via Samsung's "SmartSwitch"synchronizer app. He was able to fix communication & settings glitches in both phones with amazing speed - all the while multi- tasking with phone calls, another customer - and single-handedly beaten ingredients the store for closing. And he was consistently pleasant to work with. Lonnel managed to accomplish what 6 other reps (three in other stores, & at least that many more via phoning customer care)...he preserved and transferred every contact, photo & app - even the preferred 'start-screen' image to my now-third Note4. There are different personalities here, and everyone is really helpful and understanding. Ok, so apparently this location has two addresses for yelp. Either way, this location is horrible. On two seperate occasions I've gone in and was lied to about being eligible for a jump upgrade, in which t-mobile takes back my current phone and pays off the remaining balance on that phone, and I get to upgrade with $0 down. I made sure I was eligible for the jump upgrade by both looking online AND calling tmobile. I then went to the store to get an upgrade and was told I wasn't eligible, and that I'd have to put more than $130 down to get the new phone. I was even laughed at when I said that my phone was being offered more than $400 for a trade-in, and the employee said I'd be lucky to get $110 for it. I left and went to the location at 4545 PCH and was able to get the jump upgrade by trading in my phone, which was indeed valued at more than $400. This location is far below par when it comes to actual contract/uograde knowledge. read more

One of the employees that "attempted to assist me" named Terry couldn't even provide the basic customer service a real T-mobile associate should be able to give after their "poor training" upon hiring. Secondly horrendous atmosphere they had me waiting at the back corner for a good 20 minutes so a sales rep can "handle my issue" while a GROUP OF EMPLOYEES WAS NEAR ME!
