I tried winter melon boba tea for the first time at this location and I absolutely loved it! I love that you're able to add the salted cheese which adds a creamy, thick consistency to your drink. The pearl amber latte is unique and really good, it kind of reminds me of the snow globe milk tea they have. I also tried the taro milk tea and the peach smoothie, both really flavorful and not bland or watered down. They do a great job of adjusting the ice and sweet levels too. I have been to many boba places including T4 at different locations, but have never been as pleased as with this location. Mainly because of how fast they made my drinks, while I was placing the order, someone was already working on my drinks. That's what I can efficiency, especially with how many workers they had. When I came in i was in search of my mask, and that's when the young girl up front told me to put one on, and while still in search it seemed as if her attitude changed towards me because I wasn't wearing one right away. It was the best cream topping they had! Popcorn chicken and rice is the best meal to have after a long day of work. It comes with a side of broccoli, so get your fiber in. I also like the tofu. What's there to dislike? Not only does t4 offer milk teas, but they do slushies and snacks as well. Their menu is pretty extensive to give yourself some time to look it over bc it can be overwhelming to decide once you get to the counter and you aren't ready to order. Regardless of what location I go to the drinks are always consistent and I know I won't be surprised with a weird taste when I order something. I'm a sucker for a plain milk tea or Thai tea with egg pudding at 50% sweetness. I'm never disappointed with how t4 preps their drinks. You know you're always receiving a freshly made drink because they mix it all up in front of you. Only downside about this location is their limited parking. It shares its lot with a few other stores so parking gets pretty packed. Place has potential but yet is disappointing. Came here just a few hours ago as I was craving some boba - my go-to is usually between thai tea and jasmine milk tea at every boba spot. Not busy at all for a weekend which leads for me to say, what is the excuse for the restaurant to be so grimey and filthy! This particular location is well located in the heart of Midtown. I just recently had the green tea mango ice cream tea with boba. This was such a game changing drink. I LOVED it. I was in the area and decided to get something cool and refreshing! I've been pretty obsessed with Rose Milk Tea, so you can take a wild guess as to what I ordered here! I didn't actually see it on the menu (but it could be that I just overlooked it), but nonetheless I was able to order it. I ordered the Large Rose Milk Tea at 50% sweetened and 50% ice, as well. Within a few minutes, my drink was in hand ready to go! The Rose Milk Tea was amazing! Super refreshing and with the sweetness adjustment, it was still sweet! So I'd recommend adjusting it since rose is already quite sugary. The ambiance here is very chill. It's actually a great place to just sit and catch up with someone or relax. Cruised in a little after 10pm yesterday, and found the place cracking with almost all seats filled, house music on in the background, and the workers hustling to make the drinks. Every time I come into one of these places, i get a little overwhelmed with the menu as the choices sometimes tend to overwhelm. I was feeling like something citrus based so i tried the strawberry lemonade , and added the boba, and had 50 % sweetness. I was pleasantly surprised that the drink was blended, and the strawberry was very evident and was a perfect compliment to the lemonade and boba. The best part was that I found out that they have a late night happy hour and most all drinks were $2.50 from 9-11pm. I also tried the basil popcorn chicken and was please with the size of the order and the taste. You eat the tiny fried chicken morsels with long toothpick like sticks, and are a great contrast to the sweetness of the drinks. If you are not a salt fan, beware as these are heavily seasoned. The staff went out of their way to help, and they were super busy during the time I was there. Server Girl was calm and took the time to ask all the right questions! It didn't taste like milk tea, or even tea, but more of a tea and juice blend, which I LOVED. Fresh juice and boba is usually my go to. I went ahead and did French fries and the 6 veggie spring rolls as well, for plenty o leftovers. Both were tasty, but very greasy. The fries had a yummy dusting of pepper and other mystery spices. The newly opened T4 on 16th street has converted me into a boba fiend! I was lucky to be invited to an event to try out a few items, and after, I found myself going back again and again. The menu is enormous, you could go weeks without trying the same drink twice. Milky teas, slushies, and milkshake-like concoctions always look delicious, and they also have a large assortment of snacks from egg rolls, curry balls, calamari, the famous basil chicken, and other fried goodies. In addition, they have online ordering, stamp cards to earn a free drink, and free WiFi. I always order one of the milky teas, with boba, my newfound love. Boba is made with honey I am told, and these were very traditional ones, sitting at the bottom of the cup, teasing me like a sweet surprise. :) Chewy and soft, they make the tea special. I crave this everyday now. You can also get other items added to your drinks such as rainbow jelly, custard, angel bubbles, etc. What I really enjoy about T4 is the ability to adjust your drink in terms of ice, sweetness and size. For example, I recently ordered jasmine tea (freshly made!) with non dairy cream, 1/2 boba, 30% ice and 0% sweetness. Having the ability to special order your drink is right up my alley. Right now, T4 is the best boba/milk tea shop in Sacramento. Located in downtown (16th street), just a little block from Quickly (previously the only boba shop downtown), T4 has finally made its appearance... and it's dang good they did because Sacramento has been without a great milk tea place for the longest time. T4 offers a huge variety of Taiwanese style milk teas, flavored teas, and fruity drinks. The quality and flavor of their milk tea blows any other milk tea shop in Sac out of the water. Their milk tea is handmade, using fresh tea, unlike a lot of boba shops that use powder. My favorite is their roasted oolong milk tea followed by jasmine milk tea. Make sure to order your drink less sweet, otherwise it will be way too sweet. You can choose your level of sweetness, as well as your level of ice. Also, their boba is perfectly chewy, not too hard or soft. They also offer angel boba (aka agar boba or crystal boba at other shops) and all the flavored jellies. Each add-in is 50 cents. The basil popcorn chicken is very good! This is probably their best snack. Each piece of chicken is hot, tender, and juicy, with a good, crispy exterior. Don't forget to sprinkle the salt & pepper (and possibly spicy powder) on it. The deep fried calamari is not bad, but a little oily and not extremely outstanding. The first time I tried the honey chicken wings, the honey sauce on the wings were SUPER thick and sticky, but the second time I tried it, it was perfect! They definitely improved since their soft opening, lightening up on the honey. The shop itself is clean, comfortable, and nicely designed. They provide a good variety of games and cards to play. The only boba place in downtown is Quickly...now why they chose the same exact street as them, literally a block away, I don't know, but regardless at least now there's a choice! They also have quite a few snacks to choose from. I didn't have any on this visit but I really enjoyed them at their Natomas location. I let my Asian show. I'm still not sure how I feel about boba. Seeing 'milk tea' scares the lactose intolerant in me. But, for some reason, on this hot summer day I was craving the hell out of some of this Asian liquid goodness. Every time I come to a drink spot like this, I usually go straight to the smoothie section. But I felt like something more light and refreshing. Their list of "Milk Teas" was long, but again, I had no clue what I was doing. They all differ in what they put in their drinks, so I waited until I got to the register to ask specifically what was in the Earl Grey Milk Tea. Does every Milk Tea come with boba? That is a serious question. Did I get upsold or is it normally in there? Actually, I just looked at my receipt from last night and it was an up charge. Oh well, only $0.50. I'm glad I went with it, because the semi-weird texture person in me normally doesn't order these. But I had fun with them yesterday. If possible, I may ask for just a few the next go-around, but I didn't hate them, like I used too. The nice employee did confirm that they use 'non diary milk' in their Milk Tea's, so I should be okay - which I was fun. No issues at all! I know, I have weirdo tendencies, especially when it comes to texture (mushrooms & eggplant)! J ordered a Strawberry Lemonade smoothie that was on point. I really would have enjoyed that as an option to purchase with so many fried proteins! They have a display for sauces - ranch, Thai chili, and sweet and sour - there might have been more. However, the ranch was room temperature so I asked an employee if that was normal. She said they freeze ranch over night and then put it out in the AM to last all day. Well, just take note of that if you grab it -- stomach issues at your own risk. She easily switched it out for a cold one in the fridge for me. But that is something they need to address, that's for sure a health risk. The inside is very clean with lots of currently white furniture. I enjoyed the helpful wall signage of their popular drinks. So good for the visual people. Their menu is displayed on two large TV's which is also helpful too. They spell it all out, even though I wasn't paying attention to it all and I had tons of questions about my order. My fault, my bad. They also have a handful of board games and cards for anyone who wishes to post up here longer than it will take to consume their tasty beverage. The employees were working their asses off back there. There was a long line, but you could tell they were not slacking in the slightest bit. Everyone was really, really nice and wanted to make sure you had a good experience there. As a new kid to the Grid, they seem to be doing great. I'm bummed I missed the YEE there, but I made sure to get my thirsty self there to try it out. Minimal parking, but it works. Now there's a T4 almost everywhere I frequent (except Davis): Natomas, Elk Grove, and Downtown Sacramento! The menu is huge! There is a sign on the wall with the top drinks, other signs for new or popular drinks, and the long list of everything. Sometimes it helps when there are pictures provided for those who really have a hard time deciding. I'd never heard of the Panda drink before (black and white boba). When it comes to boba drinks, my tastes generally fluctuate from taro milk tea (sometimes with chocolate) and lychee/rainbow jelly, to Okinawa/Hokkaido drinks with pudding, to anything with the sea cream on top (such as potted plant drink). Occasionally I'll get a blended/slush. Let's just say I've come a long way from ordering a simple honey milk green tea with boba. This time I went with the Taro milk tea with boba and added rainbow jelly. It really hit the spot, and I finished it pretty quick except for all the toppings at the bottom of the cup. You can adjust the amount of sweetness and ice to your liking. Despite the long line, the super friendly staff did a great job and the owner was very welcoming! I also got to try a bite of the egg puff/waffle thing, the curry fish ball skewers and basil popcorn chicken...all of them were pretty good snacks to go along with your boba drinks, but I wouldn't call it a real meal. Honestly, I am not a tea drinker. I am not even sure how I ended up here to be perfectly honest. However, not that I have tried Tea 4 U's peppermint milk tea-- I am not sure how I have ever lived without it. I love walking around the office with this drink in hand. Beautifully done inside this small place , on west side of one way ( north) 16th, with strip parking lot for 4-5 vehicles. Hit the spot, definitely. Will be sure to know its menu intimately. I suggested coming here and I will do that again! Unfortunately I only gave 4 stars because there was a crack in my glass. While they had 0 complaints about me getting a nee one and accommodated me very well, I still couldn't give them a perfect score! This time was different. The owner took her time to invite me back and she said she would prove they are worth 5 stars! Andy was right! This place is DEF worthy of 5 stars! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable! They have games and a very cute feel when you come in! Music os just loud enough and always a good playlist! Come on a date, come with kids, come by yourself, it doesn't matter! Came in this p.m. , Conveniently located off the freeway and lots of parking. DJ was playing great music! They have a huge menu of flavors to choose from. I decided on to go with the Chocolate Sea Salt with Boba. I opted to go with 50% less sweetness and it was super tasty! Was also intrigued by the food menu. I didn't get a chance to sample any though. The line was quite long as this was an opening event Staff were workng hard and catering to all customers. I'll be back to try other flavors and the food as well . I absolutely love Milk Teas!! read more
