This T4 in midtown is one of the best boba tea shops in the area. The drinks are delicious, and the employees are friendly. I have been here a few times before. Usually, I order a drink and bring it to my car. I don't sit there at all. A few weeks ago, I ordered a drink and sat down in the shop for half hour to enjoy it because I was waiting for a Yelp event a couple of blocks away. I order the Milk Tea with Coconut Jelly. The drink is delicious as I expected. I saw they have a few tables and chairs. I decided to sit down and enjoy my drink. The shop is nice and comfortable even with many customers coming and going. My first time at the 16th street location. Located by freeway exit. Not too many parking options. Small place, qiosk order. One was broken so I had to wait for people in front of me to order while 3 of them just stood there and looked at us in the line LOL. They could have just taken the order themselves to speed things up. However MT were good. I got classic rose roasted oolong MT at 80 percent sweet and less ICE. with coffee jelly. I recently had a tip demand at a kiosk for boba. I entered the order myself. I then received a text (from an automated machine) that they were out of half my order. They automatically refunded the amount but kept the entirety of my tip. When I walked in, the employee that at first, refused to acknowledge me and just pointed at the kiosk, told me I would need to call corporate to rescind the difference. As a person that worked in an industry that was tipped...I think businesses need to revisit hospitality as a service. I was grateful and appreciative towards the vast majority of the people that I engaged with. I developed bonds and relationships with clients that continue to this day. The direct compensation that I received as appreciation and reward from people that I provided a service to was a business relationship that I cultivated. It's small and I missed my turn right off 50 when I got off the 16th street exit. Oops. I had to circle around and got it the second time. It's "a blink and you miss it" kind of location. It's located in a small strip mall next to Jensai Sushi, across the street from Arco, AM PM. They only allow 3 customers at a time which I was happy to see that they enforce, along with wearing masks. I waited outside in my car for my drink. When orders were ready, an employee would call out order numbers through the window (via speaker, think like the ones at a movie theater). Which was really nice to see!! I ordered a large potted oolong tea (non diary cream base) with Pearls, with the smallest amount of ice possible. It was pretty sweet! Definitely had a nice kick of that oolong flavor. This is one of my favorite places to stop for tea when I am downtown. They have a good set up to order with out contact. Cards only/no cash, menu is on the door and you can step in with window place your order. Then step outside to wait to pick up from designated area. Or even better order ahead and just pick up. The texture of my tofu was great however there was no seasoning added to it at all. I think maybe the seasoning was missed before packaging. All I could taste was a cornstarch/flour like flavor. My friend did not like the fish or calamari. Again, the texture was great for both items but the taste was off. She wasn't able to finish either items. This was a takeout/delivery order through Doordash. I was impressed that my fried items arrived crispy through the packaged delivery. Although I do live in midtown not far from the restaurant. The workers and service here is one of the best compared to the other T4's in Sacramento. They're friendly, get exactly what you want, and they're efficient. I usually get here a green tea with mango ice cream and it always comes out great. They also have board games to play with while you wait with your drink with friends. The only drawback to this location is how horrible the parking situation is. If you come later in the day, unless you get lucky you'll have to park on V Street and walk a bit in the dark. The small parking lot is competing with Jensai Sushi and Pizza Hut which have the larger end of the parking lot. Would still highly recommend going to this T4 out of all the locations in Sacramento if you get to park in front of the store. read more

When it was my turn to pay/order they told me to wait. I waited another 3 mins and then got irritated and just asked if I could pay for my damn eggs. After i paid the pizza guy next door actually came into t4 to give me my pizza, that's how long I waited to pay for my eggs, enough time for a pizza to be made.. What I should've done was just walk away. Horrible service. Even though I love t4 and this place is literally a 5 mins walk from my work, I will not be coming to this location again. I had the pleasure of attending a Yelp event & I'm so glad I did. The owner is a very sweet man and he's got great employees working for him. The young ladies at the counter were all helpful and pleasant. I liked that they asked about adjusting sweetness levels. I've been to other T4 locations and have never been asked or offered the change of sweetness. I guess all the other locations just assume their customers know because of their menu instructions, hmm. I decided to steer away from my usual and ordered the passion fruit smoothie with boba (of course) and my boyfriend had the Thai tea. I kept the regular sweetness level of my drink, but I should've decreased it about 30-50%. It was very sweet and I had to drink it slowly. My boyfriend asked to increase the sweetness to 80%, but the Thai tea wasn't nearly as sweet as my passion fruit smoothie. You could clearly taste the tea leaves, but not the sugar. I was fine with it, but my boyfriend likes his Thai tea with a side of diabetes. Lol, I would just recommend altering sweetness levels to your liking and ask the employees for recommendations. This location looks fairly small on the exterior, but it was surprisingly spacious. It's also super trendy. I love that they have the screen showing the Instagram pics they're tagged in. They also have the perfect background to take that Instagram pic! They offer little bag holders for purchase too! I've never seen this at any boba tea house but if you're a frequent boba drinker, it can totally come in hand. I also saw some menu items here that I haven't seen at other locations, ie. crepes. T4 is definitely one of my favorite boba spots in the Sacramento area but this location does stand out from the others. They have the standard menu of yummy specialty drinks like the Snowglobe Milk Tea and the Grass Jelly Milk Tea. Both are some of the most popular drinks that T4 offers and are recommended if it's your first time ordering here. Their menu also offers great snacks to go with your drinks like the basil popcorn chicken, fries, and egg puffs. All go well with their drinks and are decent portions. Don't forget to add chili powder on the fried food to add an extra kick to them! Note that this location serves crepes! I ordered the mixed fruit crepe: Nutella, bananas, mangoes, strawberries, and whipped cream in a thin crepe. For an additional $1, you can add a scoop of ice cream on top. They offered vanilla and green tea. This was such a great purchase and complemented the drinks really well. I had the pleasure of attending a Yelp event here and saw how well the staff handles a busy day. The staff was super friendly, quick, and accurate with the orders. One of my orders was never made, but one of the staff immediately remade the drink right away after I brought up the issue. The only criticism I have is regarding the venue as parking directly in the premises is a little cramped and hard to get out of during busy times since it's right by the freeway. This yelp review is long overdue as I've always been a big T4 fan. What I like about this place is the fact that their tea quality and customer service is always consistent. I tend to stick with the same drink which is the snow globe milk tea (it used to be called panda milk tea) which has both the boba and agar pearls. Their bobas are so sweet and soft, not super chewy some like places! I always add egg pudding to my drink which can be too much toppings for some people. I normally go for the 80% or less sugar. I recently had their amber latte which is basically a brown sugar milk tea which was also very good. I've been to pretty much all of the bubble tea places in Sac but T4 is definitely one of my top 3. T4 is a chain boba place that you could always expect to be pretty good. However, when I came, they didn't even have boba. No boba at a boba shop? Since they didn't have boba, I got grass jelly in the Thai Milk Tea. The service was decent. They gave me my drink in about 5 minutes, so not too bad. Thai Milk Tea with grass jelly- Pretty good! I've visited T4 - Tea 4 U several times in the past two years since their opening at this location, and I can't believe I haven't taken the time to review (my apologies). Anyways, a recent Yelp Elite Event brought me back to T4 and I realized my review was missing, so here it goes... My favorite tea is by far the classic Thai Tea, 30% ice and 50% sweetness, with boba. It's just sweet enough without overpowering your taste buds and I hate watered-down tea. I LOVE that they give you the options of ice amount and sweetness level. Other drink places could learn a thing or two from T4. T4 also offers some tasty bites to eat - my favorite being the Egg Puff and the Basil Popcorn Chicken. The Egg Puff is seriously addictive; lightly and fluffy on the inside with the slightly crunchy exterior, subtly sweet and delicious. I've been to T4 Tea 4 U a few times, first at a yelp event and then several times since on my own and with friends and it is always a quick and tasty tea experience. I tend to like less tea-flavored things, and they have tons of options for me as well as those who like the real stuff. While the menu can be overwhelming, there are actually a few easy steps. You choose a style first, do you want milk in it? More fruity? Several other categories let you narrow down the choices, at which point you choose a specific flavor. The last step is if you want boba (tapioca pearls) or other additions, such as the delicious and light jelly. There is also food, very much in an asian style of snack food. They are always very fast and friendly, killing the lines I've seen within minutes. While the employees all seem very young, they are professional while also looking fun. Your order gets called out when ready, they have seals on each cup so you know it is fresh and straws so you can punch into it. Seating is comfortable but can get sparse when the crowds show up at certain times. Head over to T4 the next time you want a refreshing beverage of any kind, super good teas. read more

We had a nice conversation about anime with the cashier! The snowglobe boba tea looks a lot different than the one photographed on the menu (boba was on the bottom instead of the top like the photo). There was two different types of boba in the tea - clear boba and honey boba. The texture of the clear boba is harder than the honey boba and tastes a little more fruity - kind of like lychee.
