    Glazed pork chop

A lovely restaurant with delicious inspired food, unfortunately we were there at the height of spring break so one large group with 6 unruly kids put a bit of a damper on the evening for the vast majority of adult diners. Food wise, we enjoyed the truffle croquettes a lot and the whiskey pork chop was tender and luscious. There's an ok wine list and a variety of specialty cocktails. Our server, whose name I don't get (on the short side with long pony tail) did a wonderful job despite having a lot of tables .

    Mai tai - very good!

We went for happy hour, and it was half off drinks! I got the Mai tai which was probably the best I had on the island, and my boyfriend got a beer that was about $3.50 with the discount. Great deals!!

Delicious drinks! Scrumptious appetizers! Highly recommend the goat cheese risotto croquettes and the prawn polenta appetizers. Braised beef with mashed potatoes was outstanding. The chocolate soufflé to finish was the perfect end.

Pineapple whisky pork chop. Ate all the taters and gravy and took 1/2 the pork chop home for ramen.

First-class service from our server and bartender. The food was top-notch (see photos). We arrived before our reservation for the 5:00 first seating and sat at the bar where Elissa made us awesome happy hour Mai Tais. (Thursday is all day happy hour in the bar!) The hostess found us at 5 and seated us at a comfy booth. Our wonderful server Jenny took over from there. She was friendly, attentive and gave us all the time needed to enjoy a birthday celebration. I loved the French Onion Soup, my partner had the classic Caesar salad. We both relished the pork chop and chicken marsala. We finished with the Mint chocolate pie. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful experience dining here about a month ago! It was the most reasonably priced fancy-ish restaurant in the neighborhood (except for maybe La Spezia). I believe I saw somewhere that it's a popup? I never would have known--the interior was classy and felt very permanent. I tried the goat cheese truffle croquettes, and they were pretty good (but not amazing). The Asian wings were the best I have ever had though, and the chicken Marsala with polenta was incredible! Our server was kind and attentive, and I have nothing bad to say about my experience.

Get the pork chops. So good. Tender and flavorful and something unique. French onion soup was ok. I thought it was a little bland but it wasn't horrible. Little haupia tart dessert was a perfect ending. 4 of them in an order. Very refreshing and tasty. Service at the bar tables was great. Very friendly and helpful. Dining room looked a little more formal. But still everyone looked like resort casual. It's located upstairs by the upstairs bathrooms. Had a nice table by the window in the bar area. Reservations on OpenTable. Just check what days they are closed before you go out Only thing I found odd was they have a credit card fee but the way they characterize it is odd to me. But I think their point is that they don't profit from it.

Everything was lovely. Food was delicious. Service was great. I don't understand why but the restaurant was fairly empty. I've been visiting the island for 20 years and was nice to visit a new restaurant other than the older places that never update their menu and are very loud.

I recently visited the Table at Poipu with my parents for dinner on our last night of being on Kauai. We have eating challenges ( gluten free (celiac), dairy allergy and egg allergy). Upon dining, we looked at their menu and it was labeled very well. When we went in, it was not what i was expecting from what i assumed was a high end restaurant. I just do not think booths screams fancy. I took a star off for that. Our waiter was so nice, but seemed nervous and not knowledgeable about the menu and how things are prepared but grateful he went and checked with the chef. However, we thought it was weird to be out of Parmesan cheese that night which was fine but strange. My mom who has milk, egg and gluten ( celiac) allergy ordered the house salad with no egg and the seafood risotto without cheese (which didnt matter because they were out of it). She said their goat cheese tasted like feta and got nervous and pulled it off her plate. My dad who is gluten intolerant ordered the beet salad and pork chops. He said it was okay not the best and a tad bit overcooked. I ordered a caesar salad ( that was untossed for some reason, but maybe because I ordered it gluten free as i am celiac) and the fish of the day that has the macademia sauce and lilikoi burreu blanc sauce. I believe it was a swordfish that night and i could not make any of the flavors from the sauces on it and the fish was fishy that it was hard to eat. Green beans were so overcooked but mashed potatoes were good. We looked at the dessert menu and the one thing i wanted, i thought was label gluten free was not and not interested in the other. I took 2 stars off for the food. The food was okay but i do not think we will be back on any future trips to kauai.

The braised beef- the sauce is delicious

We went to The Table twice on our family vacation in Poipu. The first time four of us went for dinner and the very friendly Jenny was our server. My son in law liked it so much that we decided to go again on the night before our departure for happy hour. Jessa was the happy hour server/bartender. She was very efficient and welcoming. The restaurant is large, clean and has an upscale bar area. Dinner: The pork chops had a delicious glaze on top, the braised beef also came in a delicious sauce. Happy hour: we got the artichoke dip and the asian chicken wings - definitely recommend. Cocktails: Unique choices and great tasting!

Decent drinks, nothing to brag about. Caesar salad tasted like it was from Costco. And the braised beef was salty, borderline inedible !!!

Classy and romantic atmosphere. Service was excellent. The menu was relatively small and the food was good but not outstanding.

In town for the day simply to show me an investment property my family and I might be interested in the very near future, before she departed she had to pick up an order of pies to bring back to her family. Of course, I came along for the ride because I liked pie, but I was curious how good they were if she was willing to fly several of them in her carry-on. Founded by Sandy in October 2009, she quickly adjusted her business model from doing six community events a week to her first retail location in Lihue in 2011. The business continued to grow that led to a second location this time in Kalaheo in 2014. Fast-forward to today, the Kalaheo store is the only one standing, and she has cultivated a strong following both near and far of pie fans and the continued support of the local community. Did I choose the right slice for my first time here!? PURCHASE(S) Mango Lilikoi Pie Slice ($8.50): Their most popular pie, they had me at mango! Filled with plump juicy mangoes combined with the just right amount of lilikoi (passionfruit) and topped with a sugar crust. Juicy sweetness burst in every bite, and I was in pure heaven! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=-IUMWv6HB5wpv9AiQ-Y_bg Macadamia Nut Pie Slice ($8.50): This time, they had me at macadamia! Made with a ton of island macadamia nuts, roasted to a perfect golden brown combined with butter, eggs, sugar, and fresh spices for a nutty tropical sensation, this pie reminded me of a pecan pie but so much better! It was heavy, thick, and required a cold glass of milk to perfectly pair it with. I went nuts for this pie! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=JfthjT1sMLgeXqbfMPGzhA To-Go Containers ($0.50 x2): For my dessert, I've never been charged this before, but I understood businesses needed to cut/pass along costs as much as possible - c'est la vie. Credit Card Surcharge 3.00% ($0.57): Another pass-along fee that has become more prevalent - oh well. SERVICE I was warmly greeted by a young woman behind the counter who gave me time to review the menu while she offered recommendations. Once I ordered, my items were quickly packed and ready to go - mahalo! PARKING (FREE): We were lucky to grab one of the five small spots in front of their shop (it was very difficult to back out due to the heavily-trafficked thoroughfare). Otherwise, I wasn't sure where else you could park nearby - be prepared. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A country shop-like and ice-cream parlor feel with a couple of wooden tables, pie display https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=5gAkOcUYZ1pbgpC8UZq5xg cases, a pie menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=vSyaGOufl1cmq9OBOppvPw hung from the ceiling behind the counter, counters and shelves with merchandise, and an open entry way that welcomed you https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=jSiOeD6ISWVAot4Qkz2e1A in for a treat. OVERALL The Right Slice offered magical pies both savory and sweet (I must return to try a savory one!) all made from scratch and with a ton of love. The care and pride was tasted in each incredible bite, and I wished I had one to bring back with me after I ate each slice back at the resort. Everything tasted phenomenal, the prices may've been a tad high (but well worth it!), and the service was calming and straightforward. Plus, I always loved to try and support small local mom & pop businesses. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $19.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

Although it was one of our favorites, I just want to point out that the prices are a bit high compared to other nearby spots like Little Fish Coffee (their coffees, breakfast sandwiches etc were all at a lower price range in comparison). Also, if you place an online order, they add an 18% gratuity to the order. I'm sorry. It's one thing to require an 18-20% automatic gratuity at a restaurant for large parties but for picking up takeout breakfast sandwiches and coffee I don't really think anyone should be forced to pay a gratuity for takeout. It's not table service, it's takeout and that really should be optional for the customer regardless of whether they order online or in person. In the future, unless I'm really pressed for time (we were on that particular occasion as we had a Na Pali boat excursion to get to), I would just wait in line and avoid the online ordering.
