Scallops over the Wild and Tame Mushroom Risotto with Truffle Oil
    Jacynda O.

I recently came here for a date. We were almost 30 minutes late for our reservation due to traffic. The staff were so understanding, and constantly encouraged us to take our time. Their farm-to-fork seasonal menu offered a variety of options. We ordered the Roasted Maple Leaf Duck Breast and the Scallops over the Mushroom Risotto. Everything was perfectly cooked and flavorful! For dessert, we had the Meyer Lemon Crème Brûlée and Sticky Toffee Pudding. I could barely breathe at this point, but had no regrets. They also had an extensive wine list with the option to purchase by the glass or bottle. I loved the small, intimate ambiance and got to take advantage of being the only patrons for the last hour. I will definitely be back soon! Thank you for helping make our date that much more enjoyable.

Went here for my birthday lunch with girlfriends. We were greeted and seated immediately even though one of our party was late. Very attentive service personnel and we were greeted by the chef as well. The menu changes seasonally and I was disappointed the spring schnitzel was no longer being served. When our server told the chef he came to the table and offered to make a slightly different version since he did not have Meyer lemon. It was amazing! I don't think this happens all the time so don't expect it, but I was beyond happy about it! One friend had the risotto and said it was amazing. The other friend had the short rib and said it was really flavorful. We were there for a long time and were never rushed.

Ordered the corn fritters and twice fried Belgian Style Fries w/buttermilk garlic dill mayo and an aperol spritz while I kill time before the Yelp event across the way! OMG, the Belgian fries are perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside....which pairs so well with the buttermilk garlic dill mayo (and made me want more of that dipping sauce)! The corn fritters are also crispy on the outside and have delicate corn kernels on the inside with a hint of spiciness with the spicy ranch sauce bringing that dish together. My Aperol Spritz went well with the above appetizers and with the cool swanky bistro vibe, I am transported to Europe. I was just killing time here, but I gotta come back for dinner!!

Came for lunch with co workers and had a great time and good food. Walking up the restaurant the server greeted us and had the door open for us. I was impressed with the service and ambiance of the restaurant. We had soup and a burger wrapped in lettuce and a side salad. I asked for the dressing on the side but they didn't do it. I didn't read that the burger had the big onion ring lol but it was tasty. Prices can vary but service was great. I'll be back

This place is so amazing everytime I come. The staff greets you like family. The food is simply the best and the service is great! Lucky to have found this place! Thank you for having us again!

Some of these reviews are weird for this place. And I didn't know that this fabulous restaurant was so polarizing. This place is amazing. Full stop. We love farm to table! And this spot doesn't disappoint. It's off of the beaten path in a way. Every bite was truly sensational. We have been dreaming of our return to this little gem. I constantly think of their risotto and schnitzel. So creamy, so crunchy, so fresh. Their lemonade was amazing as well!!! While I do agree that it wasn't exactly cool temperature wise, you do have to remember that you're in Sacramento with scorching temperatures.

In town for a work conference and had a team dinner at TableVine. The service was exceptional! And the attention to detail was unmatched. The food and drink recommendations were also wonderful. I found the restaurant to be intimate and unique.

Adding a review because tried 3 new dishes and want to shout out compliments as we had special requests that we had made when we called in for Reservations and all were granted plus some! The new items we tried were the Fall risotto with added scallops. This dish is just unbelievably tasty! Also, the schnitzel, which has been on the menu before was never a top choice of mine, but I tried a bite of my dining partner's, and it was so good. Lastly, the shank was absolutely delicious. With a chocolate flavor to the sauce I just couldn't pass this up! They're a little busy with holiday and legislative parties and the service staff spends much time mixing cocktails, which slows service, but the ambience of this place is so charming, a bit of extra time to enjoy is just fine. What a gem!

After a very enjoyable 1st visit, we visited TableVine for a 2nd time recently, and I'm delighted to report that the quality of the food and the service was even better this time than during our original visit! We tried three different dishes this visit, the Schnitzel, the Fall Risotto, and the Scallops. The Scallops and the Fall Risotto were beautifully prepared and tasty, with very generous portion sizes. As for the Schnitzel, I've never had this dish anywhere before; I found TableVine's version to be exceptionally delicious and instantly addictive - I cleaned that plate faster than Eminem can Rap ;-) Tip: The ambiance here is lovely, so consider allowing a bit of extra time for your meal so you can get the full flavor of the experience. For both of our visits, service was fast, efficient, and friendly; the menu is balanced and well-crafted, and I won't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.

I absolutely love this place. I've come here several times and every time, the food is great, and the service is great. The staff are very friendly. Prince the dog is very cute. He just roams around the restaurant. Some of the menu items do change with the seasons. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious. You do need to make a reservation. The place is small and has limited seating. I have called the day of, and they fit us in. Just need to call ahead to see if they have anything available.

This place is the best! Excellent service and a rotating menu based on the seasons. We had an amazing risotto, wine, cheese plate and dessert. Will definitely be back! Thank you!

The restaurant reminds me of a hospital cafeteria or an elderly home haha Not the most charming ambiance but it has its appeal. There's plenty of 2HR parking or metered parking and the staff is nice and sweet. The service was nice since they also had prince, their dog, greeting us every so often. There's a 20% gratuity that's automatically added in the bill if you use multiple cards. The bread smelled fresh and amazing! It tastes great with the pat of butter on the side. I would eat a whole loaf by myself so I actually did buy myself one for $10. 10/10 Brussel Sprouts $12 were perfectly caramelized and complimented the aioli but overall quite salty. The more you eat it, the saltier it gets. 6/10 Clam chowder $11 - You get hit with smell of bacon and it comes out piping hot. The texture is nice and creamy and you do taste the chunks of potato, clams, and bacon. The crouton is too heavy of a mouthfeel but overall 7.5/10 Spring Risotto with scallops: Risotto is rich and buttery. The pops of peas are great to cut the heaviness of the dish. The star of the dish was 100% the Scallop. Absolutely delicious but not sure if it's worth the $18 surcharge for 2.5 scallop, totally the dish to $40. 8/10 The salmon had great texture and I loved the miso flavor. However the green beans are average with the sweet chili sauce and the rice was nothing special. At $27, not sure I would get this again unless they change the sides 7/10

Thursday, 1/19/2023 - My honey took me to try Table Vines restaurant for dinner for my birthday. Address is 1501 14th St, Sacramento, CA 95814 in Downtown. It's our 1st time here. It's paid street parking only. It's a tiny, cute restaurant with about 12 tables. Restaurant is set kinda like an L shape. I only saw 2 workers. We met a cute dog named Prince. He is such a good, calm, and quiet dog. When we arrived, both doors to the restaurant was locked. It's for safety reasons. But the restaurant was open. I saw people inside eating. Once they saw me at the door, they did come unlock the door and let us in. Upon arrival: Pros: 1) restaurant looked clean and tables cutely set up. 2) Prince was such a nice dog. 3) server was very nice. Great customer service! 4) tables, plates, cups, utensils were all clean. 5) we got the 1/2 pound angus burger and ribeye and both were REALLY good. Both were perfectly cooked (medium rare), flavorful, meat very tender, sauces were delicious. Fries crunchy. Broccoli buttery and good. 6) water tasted good. No metal or funky taste. 7) 2 bathroom for male or female. Clean. Cons: 1) coke cost $3.00. But, if you want a refill, they charge you again. 2) they charge for hot water. :( Wish I knew sooner. 3) no complimentary anything for birthday, like other restaurants. I was hopping for at least a little ice cream. Lol. Oh well. Conclusion: I liked this restaurant. It was so cute, clean, both great gentlemen that helped us, and food tasted really good. But, as much as we did like it, we won't be coming here again. If you haven't tried this place, give it a try. They are pretty good.

This hidden gem offers an experience that's unlike anything else in the city. The setup is simple but charming: you literally walk up to a window and order your wine. I believe it's one ring for white, two for red, and three or four for sparkling--don't quote me on that, but it adds a playful, old-world vibe that makes the whole experience memorable. The Wine Window is affordable, laid-back, and surprisingly quaint. It's the kind of place where the ambiance, the people, and the energy make it feel more like an experience within an experience--not just a drink stop. I had the chance to chat with John, the owner, who shared a bit of the backstory. He previously owned a full wine room nearby, but when the pandemic hit, he had to pivot. Instead of calling it quits, he leaned into a smaller, more intimate concept inspired by wine windows in Europe. Honestly, I think the scale makes it even better. The outdoor patio is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine while people-watching on L Street, and yes, there's even a restroom available (a rare but very appreciated amenity for this type of setup). If you find yourself downtown, do yourself a favor--swing by The Wine Window, have a chat with John, and enjoy a unique Sacramento experience.
