This is an "express" restaurant. The dining room is small. Every time we eat from here, we order pick up. I suggest eating here if you are looking for takeout or delivery. If you have a large party, this isn't the place to eat. I ordered the Taboon Family Meal. It came with 3 cold appetizers, 2 hot appetizers, and 3 proteins. I got hummus, baba ganooj, and cucumber yogurt as my cold options; chicken tenders (for the kids) and falafel for my hot options; and chicken, beef, and lamb kabobs for my proteins. There was more than enough food. It also came with two types of rice, pita bread, pickled veggies, and garlic sauce. It's definitely worth ordering for a family of 6. Yoooooooooooooooo! Have to give this place great rating came here with the family to give it a shot since were tired of Pita hot in fullerton and kebab crush in artesia. And we were so glad to give this spot a try because they have so much more options plus we the bixby choice sauce tasted amazing we tried the spicy version which wasn't too spicy but cream sauce really tasted good on the salmon. We even topped it with some of the kebabs we ordered. The meat sambousek was good especially with the garlic sauce, the potato salad was mediocre nothing impressive with that, the grilled halloumi cheese slices on a bed of fresh greens, garnished with a cherry tomato was actually really good, the zahrah is the reason this was a 4 star just cause we were so excited to try it and we all love cauliflower, they cooked it perfectly but the sauce on the bottom was so salty it messed up the dish, and the chicken kebab was also over cooked. But the main dishes like the kefta, shrimp, lamb chop was amazing and its difficult to get everything perfect so still giving this restaurant a 4 star, they arent stingy with the garlic sauce also, and there garlic sauce is better the Pita Hots and Kebab crush also, its not too thick and has the perfect amount of flavor and fluffiness. Ordered take away for NFL Playoffs viewing at the house. Everything was packaged and ready (as scheduled) when I arrived for pick up. Entire order was spot-on. And the latest dude at the counter (like every other employee ever encountered there) was, as usual, nice and friendly. We love Mediterranean food, and when we were out here visiting the Beach & we got hungry, so the hubby looked up this awesome Mediterranean restaurant in Garden Grove called Taboo Mediterranean Restaurant. When we walked in we met Moe, who was awesome at explaining the menu to us, and helping us, in making a decision on the best dish that he could. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious! We ended up ordering the Taboon mixed grill plate with 3 different skewers of protein. The chicken kabob, the Beef kefta , and we substituted the lamb for the filet mignon. Then we ended it with the their amazing Baklava à la mode! Like I said, everything was fresh and good and their restaurant is clean and the Service is on point! We will definitely be back. It's a quite small location known for mainly To-go with limited seating but the times I've dined in here I was never short of service here. The food and service here has always been amazing. Had an amazing lunch at taboon! I ordered the shrimp kabob plate but upgraded to the fattoush instead of a Mediterranean salad, which gave me some peppers cucumbers and a little bit of a different dressing. The food came out really fast which is important for lunch and they have tables outside, which being in the medical field and the uncertainties of covid is important nowadays. also important in Orange county is that the tables are in the shade at lunch time! I had ordered it without saying whether I would be eating in or out but even when I opened it at the restaurant to eat in it still looked really well presented. A pretty price for a take home meal but ($50) everything was there with two types of rice grilled onion garlic sauce humus and dilled beet. I enjoyed my steak kabob plate very tender and warm off the grill. The rice was right and I grubbed it all. The chicken shawarma however was meh according to my friend and she wished she ordered the chicken kabob instead. It was basically small pieces of shredded chicken that looked reheated.
