3.5 stars! I really like the vibe here - rustic and industrial feeling; bar and outdoor seating, casual atmosphere. The servers are great! Super attentive, kind, and helpful. We got there in time for happy hour but, even so, their prices are a little steep.. I got the cheaper rose for the $9 happy hour price which was very good (but I could get two bottles of rose at a certain market for the same price). Their menu is pretty limited and they have a make shift kitchen but still offer some cool options! We split the farro salad and roasted vegetables. Both had really good flavor but the portions were tiny and they were way too salty. I really liked the ingredients though and would go back to try other things! read more

I went to this place on a trip to LA. I was excited because I haven't really spent a lot of time in Thai Town, and it makes me want to go back. I am not much of a big crowds person, but I felt completely comfortable here. I was nestled in the back corner booth an it was very nice. It was a fun place to sit back and people watch. The lighting is nice. I had some tasty wine - I forget what it was, but it was red in color. And then the Cuban. So very tasty. Pretzels pretty good too. Really dreamy bartender too. So thrilled to have this addition to Los Feliz/East Hollywood, specifically this area. I can finally walk to a bar without crossing a street, and it's a GREAT bar! I've tried the pretzel and cheeseburger, and both are really good. They often have live music, DJs and events. They have a decent vinyl collection, and sleek decor. Large selection of beer and wine, but no liquor. Beers range from $6 up and wine from $9 up. They do have happy hour until 7 on weekdays (not sure about weekends). read more

I love the tabula rasa bar! I was very impressed by the design and ambience of the place when I first walked in, and then the Miller high life on tap retained my interest! I was thirsty...they gave me beer and wine! I shall add they gave me great craft beer options and wines from all over the world! I was hungry and they filled my belly with a cheeseburger that I initially mistook the patty for a filet. That may sound like it could've been possibly a disappointment, it wasn't! First bite out of the burger and juices were down the bun and a little over my fingertips. How they managed to cook this so wonderfully on what appears to be a glorified george forman grill, I can't imagine, but they did! The cheese plate was piled high and tasty. This bar is SMALL. But it has a nice and chilled vibe inside which is nice. I think the drinks are overpriced given the amount you get with each glass- especially of the wine. I'd recommend going here with ONE friend or maybe on a relaxed first date or something. You won't stay long, but it's an ok spot to stop at I suppose. The place is really beautiful with cool mid century decor. It is dimly lit, so was a great place to unwind. We sat at the bar and had some wine and appetizers. The bartender was very knowledgeable with wine. Ask to try the mustard! Great service, nice staff, definitely will be back. read more

Stopped in last night with some friends for some Christmas cheer. found just a lovely local hangout. Great wine and beer list, and even better really educated staff that will walk you through the list without making you feel ignorant, (BIG PLUS). We met one the owners Daniel Flores, he couldn't have been more welcomeing. I give this place 10 stars. Great place to hang and share a great bottle of wine with friends. this is one of my favorite bars in LA. i don't like yelp. i don't believe in reviewing places negatively. if i'm leaving a review, it's because i REALLY REALLY want the world to know how special a place truly is. great fucking cheeseburger. yummy sausages and handmade mustards. excellent, eccentric wine list - they truly care about their selections. ask questions!! the chill, modern / slightly vintage ambiance provides dark sexy lighting, vinyl djs with the occasional live music, and it's generally jazzy/folky, minimal, and low key. you can smoke outside on the patio AND in front, soooo chill. a restaurant truly for locals and run by kind hard working creative people who love what they do. i would bring a date here. that's big yo. k bye! read more

This space is so elegant and fun - the brick mural is super unique. . .I love the birds! The front and back patios are cute and the inside has bar space and booth space to suit different moods. A friendly place to go that is whatever you want it to be, without seeming to try too hard. Sort of bohemian, hip, yet classy. They remember you, and your name. There are a lot of regulars, a lot of folks who go alone and sit at the bar and are friendly, and a good bunch who meet up there and sit at the banquette and tables. A quieter outdoor area in the back, as well as an area in front for smokers. Great food for an appetizer or a small dinner, as well as regular food pop ups. A good selection of beers and wine, as well as flights. Twenty and thirty somethings, some forties and an occasional fifty or sixty something from the neighborhood, dressed in any attire. This is my son's home bar, who made sure I had a place to "get out of the house" while I was visiting for several weeks. Every time I went in (though pushing 60), they were VERY nice, friendly, remembered me and what I liked to drink. Nicer than expected, really, from the bartenders to the owner. I felt safe and looked after, you were very nice, even though this is a BAR, and I am out of the loop, y'know what I mean? Go here by yourself, go here with your peeps, or take your mama here, okay?
