Soft Taco

This location is very average. I recommend ordering online or via the app as the staff only takes orders if you pay cash. If you pay with card, then they direct you to the kiosks. The space is pretty decent sized and has a good amount of indoor seating. Most customers order take out so you would have the place to yourself. Food is prepped fairly quickly but presentation isn't the best.

Came here on a weekday afternoon, this place wasn't busy at all. We ordered at the kiosk. The food was what I expected of a Taco Bell! The service was good! I ordered a protein bowl, and omitted a bunch of stuff. Just kept lettuce, chicken cheese and guac. It was perfectly delicious!!!!

Nice staff, good stuff, open late. The drive through gets packed at times and the line blocks the entrance to the lot. It's freaking Taco Bell. What more do you need to know?

Love love love the steak chalupa! Absolutely delicious! Haven't had good experiences with the staff in the past, but won't stop returning for the sake of the chalupa!

If you grew up on Long Island, it's likely that Taco Bell holds a special place in your heart. The food is always satisfying, cheap, and available at 1:00am. I remember when they got sued a couple of years back and I was like damn, I hope the accuser loses. I actually have never really had a complaint about Taco Bell quality and would prefer it over a crappy McChicken sandwich any day. I recommend getting their $5 boxes to maximize value. Some of my favorite items are the regular crunchy taco, the quesarito, the 99 cent mini chicken quesadilla, and the burrito supreme (without sour cream). Also, make sure you get the Baja Blast soda as the light and sweet nature of the beverage perfectly compliments heavy fare. In regards to this specific location in Hicksville (Broadway): Seating is plentiful, and I've had excellent customer service from the kids who take your order, especially the hispanic dude who looks like he is in high school (I apologize that I don't remember his name). That guy is always cordial when taking your order and a consummate professional, so mad respect. Sometimes there are a lot of people here and it takes forever to receive your order, especially on Friday afternoons. On one occassion, there was a parade of management staff who busted into the front entrance with a trophy rewarding this location for having done a good job; that was cute to witness.

Steak & Egg Breakfast Stacker - Extra Cheese and Guacamole - Raised the price to 4 dollars and change!! Really great item for breakfast!!!

I've been to Baci next door several times and never realized this restaurant was where it was! There is a free smallish parking lot in front as the lot is shared with the other stores in the strip mall that it's located in. I arrived around 12:45pm and was lucky enough to find ONE spot remaining. When I left around 2:45pm, there were a lot more available spots. Upon entering, I just sat where my friend was sitting. It looks like you can pick anywhere to sit and eventually someone will come over to take your order. All the wait staff were very nice and patient with us, as I was indecisive with what I wanted to order; everything looked so good! To order, there was a QR code on the table that you can scan and then browse the menu on your phone. A bit random but I really appreciated the bag hooks that were on the side of the table! I ended up ordering a Grilled Shrimp Quesadilla and my friend ordered a Regular Margarita and a Carne Asada Burrito. We were both very happy with our choices! Flavorful and fresh, my quesadilla was the perfect size and my friends burrito was pretty filling that she had to pack the rest to go. There is also a clean and spacious bathroom in the back if needed. Credit cards are accepted and they can split the bill if needed. We will be returning!

The guac was creamy and little bit on the sweet side. I ordered the Birria Tacos and thought it was very good. I also had a drink called Mezcalita which was excellent!

We came…read moreto El Mercadito Westbury for my birthday dinner, and it was an absolute 10/10 experience from start to finish. Let's talk about the food because everything was delicious: The Starters: We got the custom elote carrito (so fun and interactive!) and the steak and shrimp nachos. The Main: The family parrillada was massive and loaded with steak, beef ribs, chorizo, and chicken, plus rice and beans. Everything was cooked perfectly. The Drinks: The margaritas here are unmatched! We tried the regular, mango, and tamarind flavors (loved the custom cactus holders and tamarind !), plus some cold modelos. The highlight of the night was definitely the birthday celebration. They put a massive Mexican sombrero on me, sang Happy Birthday, and brought out the coolest churros carrito for dessert. To top off an unforgettable evening, we got to sing karaoke and dance. The energy here is incredible and the staff makes you feel so special. ¡La pasamos increíble! Highly, highly recommend!

I was headed to another Mexican restaurant But the brightly colored windows which were painted for thanksgiving made me decide to stop. Inside it. My granddaughter and I were the only customers. I pick up a menu on the way to sitting down. There was an oil smell which made me think their tank was just filled and maybe had a leak. I sat for a few minutes and was just about to leave when someone came to take my order. We shared chicken enchiladas with rice, beans, and a small salad. It was actually decent until I bit into a chicken bone. This is a complete turn off for me. And it's unfortunate because the enchiladas had good flavor. Nothing unusual about the rice and beans. I asked for water to drink. In my world that means a glass of ice water. Instead I got a bottle from Costco. Would I go back? Probably not. There are too many Mexican restaurants in the area who's food I like better.

As you can see I'm first to find this place... and didn't hesitate to be the only Griingo in a true blue.. well you get the point.. this is an authentic Mexican place! Yes, when I walked in the staff were dining at a table and no one was @ the counter. Yes the girl finished her food a bit before getting up to help me.. in fact they all looked at me like they assumed I would likely leave.. why would I?.. and no she didn't wash hands before serving me. Did I leave.. Heck no. This made it more authentic, real deal Mexican, not all Yelpwashed. lol So I ordered a few things but stayed simple. Tacos, burrittos etc. Nothing stood out as all too different. Nothing seemed fake. It was just good. Would I come back? Well, If I was passing through, and craved a taco maybe. Maybe I would. I'll tell you this.. I had these cool as a cucumber "staff" guessing when I had no choice but to do my Yelply duty and snap some no explanation given pictures. : )

No slack on the alcohol either! We were welcomed with nachos and salsa and might I add they both tasted fresh! Alba, the owner, served us and she was very sweet since the beginning. The only thing is the place was empty when we got there and empty when we left, and this was a Friday night! I would expect a little more foot traffic on a weeknight. Ambiance was okay. The place looks a little bit run down with the decor however does look clean nonetheless. Also we walked into an empty restaurant basically, no one at the front to greet us and seat us for at least 5-10 minutes, and it wasn't busy at all. There was no bell to let anyone know we were there waiting either. Now for the food: Entrees: -Carne Asada: (steak with rice and refried beans accompanied with a salad and tortillas) I thought the rice and beans were very flavorful. The steak was decently marinated, however too thick and too much. I bit into the first piece as is and it was a lot for me and my jaw to munch on. I then proceeded to cut my steak into thin slices throughout the meal. Also, i never thought I'd be saying there was too much steak but there really was. Again, steak was subpar and hard to chew (thick and not as tender) And I ordered medium rare and received a medium steak at most. I couldn't finish 1 piece and still had 2 1/2 left. The salad was a nice companion and the tortillas I honestly didn't touch because it seemed a little bit overwhelming with the rice and beans. -Birria taco: my friend ate it but it did look a bit greasy. She did end up leaving some of it and it was all she had ordered the night for food. Drinks: -Mango Margarita w/ tajin rim: this was DELICIOUS! very well made and I'd definitely come back for a margarita night -Horchata: my friend ordered the horchata and it was really good so she said! I'd probably come back here for the service, a margarita and maybe to try something different- but I wouldn't be back for the carne asada again.
