Complimentary salsa and chips were good and refilled as needed. Excellent service. It wasn't mobbed but there was a nice buzz inside. I opted for the quesabirria tacos and yes they looked and tastes authentic. Corn tortilla grilled with tender chuck roast and cheese served with onions and cilantro on the side with a small bowl of au jus for dipping. DELICIOUS! Also came with beans and rice. 10/10 Great food and great service in a friendly atmosphere. They have a wonderfully varied menu so check them out if you haven't done so yet. I think you'll like them as much as we do.

If you are wondering, I have no idea if this Mi Casa is in the same family as ones in Lexington and Winston-Salem. Summary - Food is a solid 4 stars. - Margaritas 4 stars - Adult drink selection, 4 stars - Service 4 stars - Ambiance 3 1/2 stars - Value 3/12 to 4 stars - Cash and cards accepted Mi Casa is slightly cheaper than what Domingos was. Food is comparable. I have tried the cheese dip, steak tacos and fajitas. It's a pretty large menu. Texana Fajitas (shrimp, steak and chicken) were good. My only complaint is the steak and chicken are chopped fine. You are not getting the chicken and steak strips that are easy to pick out. Street tacos are decent. Same for the cheese dip. The margaritas come in lots of flavors and different sizes. If memory serves me correctly, I got a 16oz, which was served in a square glass. Square glasses suck for drinking margaritas. It's just odd to get the salt off the rim and drink in a square cup. Round is the way to go baby unless you are a straw drinker. The inside looks about the same as Domingos. They didn't change much. If you have never been here, they have a large inside and outside seating area. Outside might be good a night when the weather is nice. Otherwise the outside seating is just concrete with no trees. Not ideal when it is very hot.

I drove the 20 minutes here to try the food after reading a number of glowing reviews - 4.6 Yelp…read morerating over 77 reviews! It is a small place with less than a dozens tables, and a fairly broad menu. It has been operating for about 10 years now. I was particularly interested in the California Burrito with Steak and the tacos with shredded beef, the Birria tacos, the Guadalajara Dog, and the street corn. We tried them all! The California Burrito is an interesting version - filled with pickled jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, cilantro, onion, avocado, Mexican cheese, sour cream, your choice of protein, and topped with Chili Con Queso once filled. The menu description does not mention FFs which is very much traditional. In fact, the replacement of rice and beans with crispy FFs was what made the California Burrito unique! This is a large burrito, shorter and thicker than the vast majority you'll see. The filling I chose was carne asada and the burrito was topped with what the menu termed "chili con queso". The result was a different looking burrito, but an excellent burrito - and no, I couldn't finish it. The Birria Tacos are only available of Fridays. You get four tacos, sliced radish, Lime wedges, and the house red and green hot sauces. These tacos were well filled with meat and cheese, but there was no consommé, which is very traditional, also no chopped white onion or cilantro - disappointing, would not order again! The street tacos with shredded beef were good, not great - well filled, and well topped with chopped white onion and cilantro. I went all the way which added lettuce, tomato, and Mexican white crumbling cheese, either cotija or queso fresco. Frankly I did not find that the all the way approach worked for me! 3 tacos were $8.99, and all the way added $1.99. These are a bit pricey, most Tex-Mex spots in Winston serve up 4 for just under $13! I wanted to try the Guadalajara Dog more out of curiosity than anything else - I have been in Guadalajara a number of times and experienced some interesting food items, such as Birria (the stew), Pozole, Carne En Su Jugo, BBQ Young Goat, and the Guadalajara Hot Dog ( a wildly popular street food)! The weiner is wrapped in bacon and then deep fried, causing the skin to develop rips. Once in the bun, it is sauced and topped with fresh avocado, chopped onion, ancestry you can add more. This was a good version, but not an item I order often. The street corn consisted of corn kernels, cheese, hot sauce, lime, and a Mayo based sauce. This is a busy item, and I found I prefer the simpler, customary corn on the cob with crumpled cheese. This is an interesting place, one that has a different take on Tax-Mex dishes. Those takes and moves away from tradition are not something for me.

As soon as we entered the restaurant you felt the good vibes with the Spanish music being played in the background. We were greeted with a smile and taken right to a table. The restaurant had a couple of tables, but it seems like a lot of people do take out as well. As I looked at the menu there were a lot of different options apart from the tacos. There were tortas, chimichangas, etc. When it came time to order the food I decided to go with the tacos. I ordered 1 taco de asada, 1 taco al pastor, and 1 taco de pollo asado. I also got a agua de jamaica (Hibiscus tea) it was also very good and refreshing. While my family and I waited for our food our server brought us chips and salsa which did not disappoint. Once my food came out I was super excited to try it out. The presentation was amazing. The tortillas were homemade, the taco was loaded with onions and cilantro, they give you a good amount of limes, some radishes on the side, and bring out 2 different salsas for you to add to your taco if you would like too. Each taco was delicious and very flavorful. I would say that my favorite one had to be the taco al pastor. The seasoning was just right and it even had pineapple in there. If you are in the area I would definitely give this a try, the food and service are both so amazing. You wont be disappointed!

Very very clean, open concept kitchen; once again, extremely clean bathroom as well, soda machine is clean, floors spotless, big brownie points! Moreover the food: pleaseeee try the shrimp cocktail(extremely fresh tasting and not spicy yet flavorful, LOTS OF SHRIMP INSIDE!), birria tamales( speaks for itself ‍‍‍very flavorful the maíz also had flavor and the consomé is not fatty but well seasoned, simply delicious). The birria ramen, huge chunks of barbacoa inside and served with a quesadilla, come on! Also had the empanadas de campechanas(steak with chorizo and cheese) and also an order of pulled chicken and cheese empanadas (it taste like you at you're at home eating Ma's food!!!!), pastor taco was excellent, made with actual pineapple and seasoned well but not too salty or sweet; perfect! The street corn was nice and HOT in temperature and well seasoned but not spicy and could taste the squeezed lime with the tajin cheese and mayo; yum!!!! Carnitas taco was excellent, very tender!!! Oh, hand made corn tortillas.... Come on!!! This is the place to be, I'm telling y'all‍. We got caramel churros to go, they come with some ice cream and whipped with chocolate sauce, so banger!!! Also recommend the fresh made cheese dip with the made to order chunky guacamolè aka 'Guac Mexicano' and some grilled seasoned whole jalapeños on the side(aka Torriados) Finally, would also like to highlight that all the food had very clean presentations and you can tell everything is prepped with very very well- also can tell this in the horchata and Jamaica! I have never in my life tried a perfect Jamaica like theirs- it was not bitter or sour or too sweet or too weak; absolutely perfect, please try for yourself! Andre's has a wonderful staff and he and his family are working with delicious recipes, these people are true restauranteurs and know what they're doing!!! I am definitely returning and plan to become a regular! So thankful to find somewhere close to my new home out this way! God bless you/ que Diosito los bendiga!

While the menu is more selective I found everything to be far better in taste and how it is cooked! Today we shared the Mediterranean appetizer with hummus and tzatziki. Hummus is smooth and have a tahini forward flavor. My spouse and I both liked it. Tzatziki is exceptional. It is one of my favorite sauces in the world and this is great. Pita was a wonderful texture and taste wise. I ordered the chicken plate. It came out sizzling hot like fajitas traditionally do. The chicken was temperature right out of the oven, juicy and an excellent texture. Couscous on the side was beautifully cooked and had a nice touch of spice to it. The other metal bowl on my platter had a greek village style salad with diced cucumbers, diced red onions and cut in half mini tomatoes. Spouse had a Turkish pizza. The seasoning had a nice spice and kick to it. He enjoyed his meal. Spouse ordered 2 beers on draft. One of the beers was one he had before not on draft and was thrilled to try it on draft as he liked it way more. He was happy with their beer on draft selection. When I was younger, so much younger than today, I traveled internationally for a Fortune 500 company for over 12 years. In those travels I spent over a year in Mexico, because it was a problem place, to do business in any way - to protect inventory (we hired armed guards to patrol behind fenced areas, 24/7), to collect accounts receivable, especially from the Federal and State governments, to operate within the guidelines of the SEC! The good part was to sample food I had no idea existed. I had birria for the first time in 1979 in Guadalajara - stew only, no tacos at the time; carbito; and I had Pozole Verde for the first time, with pork, amazing dish! The version of pozole verde served here is very good, but does not have quite the layers of flavor this dish is famous for, like the ones I've sampled at Taqueria Los Juanes, El Camino Real, and Paisano El Tacos - all in Winston. Still it is a dish worth having a go at! I topped the relatively thin stew with cheese, chopped white onion, chicharrones, and avocado. In addition, I squeezed on lime juice and added hot sauce. All of this added additional flavors as well as a variety of textures. I wish there had been cabbage and cilantro to add as well. I tried the Quesabirria tacos and found them to be very nice - well filled and flavorful. I'm glad I tried the food here, and if in the area I'd stop in, but I would not consider this a destination spot.

First off, this isn't just a random food truck. There is such an incredible story behind it. It's run by Gary and his best friend Alex, who have been friends since grade school back in Mexico City, Mexico!! You can feel that deep history in the way they run their business. There's a level of trust, energy, and authenticity that you don't usually see, and it trickles down to the entire team!!!Every employee I interacted with was genuinely happy, welcoming, and proud to be there (which says a lot) especially during these times. They've also set themselves up in some of the best spots around. I visited : 1) Summerfield Farms. 2) Oden Brewing Company. At both locations, you're not just grabbing food, you're getting a whole experience! Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Live music, dog friendly. The menu is simple, affordable, and done right. We got to try 4 different tacos, their queso dip, and their churros, and everything delicious! The meat was seasoned to perfection, super juicy, and full of flavor without being overcomplicated. But what really made this experience unforgettable? I got invited onto the truck to make my own churros!! let me tell you, that is not something you get to do every day. It was hands-on, fun, and honestly one of the most unique experiences I've had, collaborating with another business. By the end of it, it didn't even feel like a transaction anymore, we became friends! Taco Bros isn't just serving food, they're building up thier community. And that's something you don't come across often.

The chicken quesadilla was good but could have used a bit more seasoning. It was good sized and stuffed full of chicken, onions, peppers, and cheese. Overall we enjoyed Taco Bros and would definitely try them again at another event.
