Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos

1.8? That's a bit harsh. I went here today as I saw an influencer try Taco Bell internationally and since I haven't been to Taco Bell in a while, I'd figure I'd give it a try. The service though was a bit slow. I waited over 15 mins for my food and I was the only car in the drive thru. The staff was very nice and polite though. Can't complain about that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Can't really talk much about the inside since I just went to their drive thru. But it wasn't so busy on the inside of the restaurant from what I could see. There were just a handful of patrons dinning in so I don't know why it was a bit on the slow side to get my food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As far as the food, it was not bad. Had the bean and cheese burrito with their hard shell taco and a mango iced tea. The bean and cheese was okay. It didn't have the rich and creamy texture of an authentic bean and cheese burrito. The hard shell taco tasted like something I could make at home. My expectations weren't high and I'll just say it didn't exceed or go below my expectations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was a typical Taco Bell restaurant set up. From the chairs to the drink area. Nothing unique about it from what I could tell from the outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But go to Taco Bell if you want a decent Mexican/American fix. But for authentic Mexican food, go on Yelp and find some hole in the wall near you :)

Solid Taco Bell experience and the food was as I'd expected. The service was automated so it was fine and there were no troubles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior was clean but I do think it could have been maintained a little better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Death trap. You will wait in the drive through for 30 minutes every single time. The slowest service ever. Just don't do it!

Slowest drive thru. Don't go here if you want fast food. It'd be faster to drive out to another taco bell further away.

I started with the quesabirria tacos, which were juicy, flavorful, and had perfectly crispy tortillas. They were definitely one of my favorite items. I also tried the birria pizza, which was super cheesy, generously filled with birria, and even better when dipped into the consome. The chile relleno was another standout. It was very cheesy with a flavorful salsa on top that complemented it really well. I also ordered the plato de cecina, and the meat had amazing flavor. It paired perfectly with their homemade rice and bean. They also offer homemade menudo on weekends, which I had the chance to try and found to be very comforting. It also comes with fresh, homemade tortillas, which is always a plus. One thing I appreciated is that they offer both birria de res and birria de chivo, which can be hard to find done well. I didn't personally try the goat, but it smelled great and seems to be very popular with other customers. For drinks, I had the horchata and strawberry lemonade, both were refreshing and went really well with the meal. Overall, this is a great local spot with delicious food and a welcoming, homemade feel. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the Fontana area.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and they were pretty busy…read more I ordered carne asada tacos (can't go wrong with that) and chicharon tacos. And my boyfriend ordered a chicharon burrito. When ordering the lady asked my boyfriend if he was okay with cilantro, onions, rice okay in the burrito and he omitted the beans. One thing she never asked is we wanted hotsauce on the food. Because when I got my tacos and he got his burrito, it had hotsauce. I think this is something they should ask if you want when you are ordering. What if someone is ordering for a kid and they don't like hotsauce. I say this cos I don't like hotsauce. My boyfriend had to bring to back and they have new tacos with no hotsauce. Another thing that is a hit or miss here are the chicharon. Our chicharon was both crunchy and soft. I noticed it depends what time of day you go and you also know by how much chicharon they have left (you can see it on the display). I like how they have the toppings in a little bar where you can get (hot sauce, pickled jalapeños, cilantro and onions). It is a small restaurant. They have some seats indoor and outdoor. And they even have a tortilla lady in the corner making fresh tortillas.

This little hole in the wall taco shop is one of those spots you almost don't notice unless someone…read moretells you about it, but I'm glad I found it. The tacos are really good and packed with flavor, and the burritos are just as solid, big portions that actually fill you up without feeling overpriced. You definitely get your money's worth here, which is hard to find these days. One of the best parts is the salsa bar. They have a good variety of salsas, and all of them taste fresh and delicious, not watered down like some places. You can really customize your food depending on how spicy you like it. The only downside is there's no kids menu, so it might be tough if you have really picky eaters. But if you're just looking for good tacos, good burritos, fair prices, and a taco spot to grab a quick meal, this place is definitely worth checking out.

I ordered a few platters including the taco and the loaded nachos. The price is fairly generous, probably closer to what you might get at a takeout than a traditional sit down restaurant. There's actually a lot of seating available whether inside or outside. The staff was all pretty nice and welcoming as well. If I asked for anything like extra plates or utensils, they usually greeted me with a smile. As for the cuisine, it was okay. I think it is suited for a particular taste. Most of the meat we ordered was well done. Well done but not overly dry. More like a crunchy texture. That was true of the asada, carnita, and chicken. If you are used to your meat a little bit more rare or juicy, then this style may not be for you. I thought it was fine but it just depends on your taste buds. I really wanted to give the place 4-stars or even 5. The staff was good, food was fine, and prices all affordable but the place had one problem. Initially, I wanted to eat outside and enjoy some summer breeze with my family. However, there were too many flies attracted to our meal. I was not sure whether it was due to this restaurant or its neighbors. Unfortunately, the flies followed us inside during our meal as well. It may be a non-issue in the colder months but it was a noticeable nuisance during our meal.

The prices are very reasonable, the folks here are friendly, and it has a casual ordering style, where you order at the counter and you either pick it up (when ordering to go) or they bring it to your table. This place first popped up on my radar because my coworker told me about their burritos and she told me they had great menudo. I saw that they are conveniently located close to work for me. Well, after my first visit, I think I've been here like four times in the last couple weeks lol. I'm happy to say that I really enjoyed everything I've eaten from here so far. I've had the menudo, which really hit the spot when I was looking for something warm and comforting. Comes with toppings and some limes as well as corn tortillas. I've had a Palo Fierro burrito (made with carne asada) here which was very tasty and it was very large. Almost two meals for me. Fresh ingredients and tasty salsas. And at this point, I've had two different breakfast burritos, one with chorizo and one with ham. Always friendly and I've been happy with my food every time. This place rocks.
