Tacos were amazing, fresh and ready on time. We picked them up to go and were able to eat them on the beach and catch the sunset

The staff was so nice and the food was so fresh and delicious, I would highly recommend and will definitely come back again!

The Taco Bus franchise is a totally fine post-beach grab. This review is for this location, specifically, & not the restaurant group as a whole. We came here because we were staying at the Edge hotel that is connected to the restaurant. We have eaten at other Taco Bus locations in the past & remembered it being a quick, easy way to accommodate our vegan diet. When we went to place our order, I asked the cashier if the bean dip was vegan. His response was "it's refried beans so..." & I again asked if it had cheese in it. He said no. We took our order to go & when I opened the dip, there was a thick layer of queso on the top. I had also placed an order for elote. The cashier looked at me like I was speaking alien. Apparently, despite it saying elote on the menu, I needed to ask for street corn. We stepped to the side to wait for our order. The kitchen is viewable from the dining room. I was pretty grossed out watching the staff cook our meal. Only one of 3 people was wearing gloves, which would be fine, except the team was switching between tasks without washing their hands. I watched the girl working the grill grab her phone & fire off some texts & immediately go back to the grill. The one person wearing gloves went from cooking to packaging meals & touching counter items without removing his gloves. Back to the grill girl, she was cooking our faux steak & carried it over to the prep area on the spatula. I can't imagine that's the proper way to move cooked food? TL;DR. If you're vegan or have dietary restrictions, I would pass on this place. If you're not or don't, it's a probably fine. To the owner of this place? I would circle back on standards because this was questionable on a lot of fronts. read more

Happy they had vegan options! I had the quesadilla with Plant Fare and my boyfriend got the quesadilla with Vegan Steak and we also got the vegan cheese. A tad pricy ($25 total with waters), however that didn't discourage us! Definitely will go back when we are in town again! read more

I'm surprised at these poor reviews...We LOVED Taco Bus! On our anniversary weekend, we took a trip to Clearwater Beach. We were cruising on our bikes in the sunshine when we stumbled across Taco Bus. We originally picked this restaurant because these was room to park our bikes outside. I have the bike rentals to thank. It's awfully cute; there's a whole half of a bus inside as the counter. There is outside seating for dogs (and bike parking). Our food was delicious. I ordered the beer battered grouper papos. Topped off with sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese. Hubby had the twin tower burrito tacos. He didn't leave a crumb. Skip the salsa (it was a tiny bit watery), but enjoy the food. They have plenty of options on their menu. Don't miss out on the Taco Bus ride. read more

Went about a month ago, the food was GREAT. Everything was fresh and hot. Only reason its not 5/5 is due to a drunk guy (at least I hope he was drunk) sprawled over his table with his food kind of ruining the dining experience for everybody. Steak in kids taco very chewy and inedible, along with this bone my nephew got in his steak quesadilla. Cashier wasn't friendly. We went here on our Clearwater vacation based on all the recommendations from the Clearwater beach group. Yes it was cool the bus was inside but everything else sub par. This was an accidental find. The smell of the food when we were leaving the Parking garage led us here late night. The place is adorable and unique. The menu is overwhelming so we asked for help. We ordered tacos, nachos, churros and empanadas. The tacos we ordered were on flour tortillas were huge. The nacho"s were large enough to feed a family and were AWESOME! The empanadas were dry and didn't have olives or cheese in them. The churros! OMG. You must order them. We will be back. read more

Absolutely outstanding food here! These Twiin Grande Tacos feel like heaven and will fill your stomach to the max for a very affordable price. These are without a doubt above average tacos/Mexican food. Great service as well. The workers are nice and the food comes out quick. There is a high drink selection as well. Ordered the street corn and a pork quesadilla. The street corn was extremely dry and no cotija cheese but a gross chipotle sauce. The quesadilla was so wet you couldn't even pick it up. Even the salsa was inedible. Yuck don't do it. read more

Man....taco bus was a bust. I read the reviews here and I don't know if people just never had great tacos but these are not it. I'd give a one star but the atmosphere and speediness of the food is great here. I mean a legit taco bus, now that's cool. When I am in an area I always search for the best tacos and this place supposedly had some great ones so I went in with excitement. The tacos looked aesthetically pleasing of the street taco I like to have but man the flavor was terrible. The tortillas were dry and crumbly and the meat just had 0 flavor to it. We had to hose our tacos down with limes just to get flavor out of these. Extremely disappointed in taco bus and won't recommend. The sad thing is I did recommend it to two people walking by before I took a bite, I hope they liked it but I couldn't see how a true taco enthusiast would like this place. We always like to try new places when we travel. This was a pleasant surprise! The "el jefe" burrito was excellent and weighing in at two pounds of burrito, you definitely get what you pay for. We returned on Tuesday AFTER trying Frenchys fish taco special and the Taco Bus was much better! The fish was cooked perfectly! We went for a quick lunch and Taco Bus was steps away from our hotel. I've gone to the one in Tampa, so I knew the tacos were delicious. I ordered a Chipotle Chicken flour taco with guacamole and a creamy chipotle sauce and a Shredded Chicken flour taco with guacamole. I didn't order any sides, but the other people I was did, a side of yellow rice and refried beans. The tacos were delicious and fresh. After we ate, we took pictures with photo props that were there. The food is great - when they get it right. The last 2 times I have ordered I was either missing items or got the wrong meal. One time I had not received my soda or the guac I paid extra for. I really enjoy the portobello ranchero quesadillas. The guac is a watery paste consistency, no pieces of vegetable or other texture.
