They're open late which has always solved s midnight craving. Food is top notch and reasonably priced. I admit I haven't explored their menu that much, I mainly stick to their burritos which I think have the best cash to food ratio. We were staying at the Edge hotel and needed a quick lunch while hanging at the pool. Checked out Yelp, which never really lets me down - and found TACO BUS. When I first saw it on the app I thought it was a local food truck. Turns out it was directly below our hotel. I ordered a shredded chicken taco and also a Portobello mushroom taco. I just moved here and my family of 6 were driving around looking for a spot to eat. We drove by Taco Bus and quickly popped into the parking lot and into the building. Obviously never having been here before, it took the 6 of us a bit to get our order solidified. The gentleman at the counter was super patient, informative, and sweet. As soon as the last persons order was taken and we walked to the order pickup area, our food was ready! All of our food was soooo good and so fresh! We parked at sand key and walked the 25 minutes over the bridge for some excercise and fun to the Taco Bus. The place has a lot of charm as there is a cool bus prop that they work all their magic behind. I got the shredded chicken taco and tostada with refried beans. They were both perfect!! This place was unbelievable. I don't even know if i have ever written a review on Yelp yet, but this place deserves it. I got the chimichanga with chipotle chicken and my girlfriend got churros. When i say the phrase, "Holy cow," to describe the food, that's underselling it. I hope the workers here are aware of how much better they're making the world, just by cooking this food. I do have one negative thing to say. It's very small, but the plastic knives stink. It didn't break or anything, but the knife-to-chimichanga ratio wasn't the best. Well, I can definitely say Taco Bus managed to conquer that task and very successfully if I do say so myself. As for the food itself, I didn't actually end up getting tacos to my chagrin. I am a burrito bowl fan myself, what can I say? And it wasn't as great as I would've imagined. The guacamole was the kind that you buy pre-packaged, with a creamier texture (no nice avocado chunks to my dismay). We kept passing by this place on our way to the beach so we decided to try it. On our first visit, we ordered the twiin grande tacos (one with grilled chicken and one with grouper) and the torta with chicken chipotle. We really enjoyed the food a lot, some much so that we came back and brought a friend for dinner. I can tell that the issue here is it is very dependent on who is cooking. There was a different person each time and the second time definitely was not good at all. We ordered the same thing but added the tostado for my friend. This is a great oit stop for when you're hibhry in a hurry and don't want to spend a lot of money! Honestly it looks like a cheap commercialized place but the food is very good. The customer service is great too I went in and got the burrito bowl that has a base of Mexican rice with peas and corn, black beans, pico de gallo, grilled chicken (or your meat of choice) and shredded lettuce. I opted out of the cheese but it comes with that too. Served with sour cream and guacamole on the side. If you're used to Chipotle bowls this one measures out to be Better! The only downside is the salsa, served out of a pump dispenser, it tastes like ketchup. Great place for tacos, but go for the burrito bowl, and it's only $9! read more

Let me start by saying, I love Taco Bus's food however, this one instance rubbed me the way. I ordered $50 worth of food from this location through Uber Eats. Once the order came I was missing a side of guacamole. That is not necessarily a big deal...when I called to let them know i was missing something I was told that I would have to go through Uber. I then asked, was it Uber's fault or their fault to which the manager, John, replied it was their fault so for me, I believe some sort of accommodations should've been given other than an apology and a referral to Uber. We ordered from Taco Bus using Uber Eats for delivery. Being vegan, I was pleasantly surprised with all of the plant based choices! I ordered 2 soft tacos with corn shells; one plant fare and the other mushroom. I loved that I was able to 'build my own' and add whatever I liked from an ample choice of toppings; and could order 2 separate tacos, not forced to order 2 of the same. Both were very tasty, although the plant fare option seemed a little oily. My husband ordered the plant fare burrito and enjoyed it as well. Two others in our party order fish and shrimp tacos and the the massive El Jefe with queso. They both said their choices were delicious. The refried beans and rice were good as well. The order came with 4 big bags and chips and salsa. We didn't enjoy the salsa, it was a little too bland for us; tasted like pureed tomatoes. This is a very simple and cute concept restaurant. There's literally a 1/2 bus in the restaurant. You go and order your foods at the counter and they will bring it to your table when it's made. What's so different about this taco restaurant is the variety. Now I'm not a vegetarian, BUT I loveeee that they have tofu and squash tacos as an option for people who don't eat meat. I ordered the shrimp tostada. I enjoyed it; would def order it again. I also got chips and salsa and I wished there would be a little more spicy to the salsa. As for drinks I got the Buzz one at first. But it was too strong for me. It had 17% alcohol; I then tried the sangria and LOVEDDDDDDDD IT!!!
