My family and I eat there about two times a week, maybe three. We love everything! The tortillas are tasty, the flautas are crunchy and full of flavor. This TC has changed owners recently and I'm not sure they worked out all of the bugs. This trip was better than the last so I guess they're improving. My biggest gripe is that they have a limited salad selection, if you don't want a Caesar salad, you're out of luck. It tried to build one using their "build your own bowl" menu and that was a disaster. Apparently there's 5 different systems it can go to throughout the place of business. Then, after waiting for 22 minutes, they placed her order and put in on "rush". I waited an entire hour in the drive through at 4:00 AM last night for my order (which they messed up so i had to wait another 10 minutes for them to fix it). I ordered three "street tacos" and a brisket taco. Aside from the fact that my Tacos tasted like dried giraffe feces, my stomach is completely fucked. No joke, I feel like that guy from the movie "Alien" just before the alien pushed its way out through his stomach. If you value your own health and well being, I would advise never eating at a Taco Cabana in your entire life. Every time I order here. I specifically ask for just sour cream. Not that sour cream mixture stuff. And they always give me what I do not want! I pay for my meal please learn how to give customers what they are asking for!!!! Some people ask for things a certain way because they have allergies! I called in for a pick-up order (my first time as a customer at Taco Cabana), and during the call I asked about the flame-grilled chicken fajitas with bell peppers and onions. They said that there were no bell peppers in the entrée (going against the menu on the website), so I asked them to take the fajitas out. The rest of the order was correct, but they gave me the meat and onions for the fajitas (but they didn't include the tortillas) and charged me for them anyways. And when I took the meat and onions up to the counter and requested a refund for just the fajitas, the clerk argued with me that he couldn't refund the fajitas because I didn't have the tortillas, despite me telling him that I wasn't given tortillas. Though I eventually got the refund, I was left feeling frustrated that I couldn't trust the menu or the team to get my order right and that I was held responsible for their mistake. I'm hesitant to try other Taco Cabana locations because of this first impression. read more

This location has the worst order accuracy of any place I have ever been. The food is delicious, and we continue to go because this location is close to us. However, I do not think they have ever given us a 100% correct to-go order. Problems we have experienced include receiving refried beans with menu items that are supposed to have borrachos, missing food items, instructions being ignored even though they are printed on the ticket, receiving extra tortillas instead of a taco, and my personal favorite, at the drive-thru window, when asking for pico de gallo, receiving one little container for two entrees. If you order here, they will almost certainly mess your order up, and they are if anything worse with drive-thru and to-go orders than dine-in. I want to write a more positive review but these problems are beyond ridiculous. read more

They NEVER get my order right! All I get is a breakfast burrito with egg and cheese and red chili. They NEVER add the red chili and NEVER add the cheese. My wife and are bonafide New Mexico natives--raised on chili our entire lives. We were favorably impressed on our first visit. The menu has more than 80 items. My major test for (New) Mexican food is chili rellenos. The chili pod was very meaty and the breading around it was not overly thick. We had two combo plates with no duplication's. The salsa bar had many variations from very mild to fairly hot. By the time we got back from it the meal arrived. We will return many times wander through the varied menu. read more

Had lunch today @ the Coors Taco cabana. With the constant drizzle and cool air floating in the air, needed get some hot chile into my system and Taco cabana was close by. Soft Chicken Tacos and a breakfast burrito were good. As always the green chile salsa was awesome. Other salsas were equally good . One thing that threw me off was the chemically smelling refired beans. Worst beans I've ever tasted. Gargled few times to get the awful flavor out of my mouth. Great bang for your buck. Had a late-night meal here last night and was pleasantly surprised. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I'm such a fan of a chain restaurant, but sometimes I just like what I like. I got the chicken flameante and a large order of chips and queso and the entire meal I shared with K was something like $13. We had leftovers as well. My dish came with two nicely roasted chicken breasts with the wings on, a large scoop of pinto beans, rice, shredded lettuce, tomatoes and fresh hand-made flour tortillas. There's a salsa bar with a wide array of choices, including hot green chile and red chile options. Salsas may not be spectacular but they were flavorful. The queso was a standard Ameri-mexican velveeta and a tad thin but no complaints. J and L got chicken and beef fajitas which looked delicious. I also had the tres leches which I had to try since you don't find this type of option at any chain restaurant in Colorado. Not the best I've had, but decent. I pondered why this chain had not reached the Denver metro area, and L told me that there were a couple of franchises in Colorado a few years ago but they had closed down. Why?????? I've honestly never had an issue with food nor customer service. My favorite items include the shrimp quesadilla that comes at lent, the barbacoa burrito and the tortilla soup. Killer stuff! This is the kind of place that is too good to be labeled fast food but not fancy enough to be called a sit down restaurant, its like take out. You can eat in though and I highly suggest it for the salsa bar which is surprisingly fleshed out. Staff is great and familiar and the bathrooms and tables are always clean as is the drink area. Me and my abuelito eat here regularly, at least twice a month if not more. They have a good drink selection, better than most places. Considering this place is in an area that has tough competition they do very well. The only qualm I have is that the tortillas are way too small. This is typical or Baja Mexican style food. This isn't our home grown Nuevo Mexicano but their Chile is good enough. I usually stick to the salsa though, the salsa is king at TC. read more

Never had a problem here. Clean during dining hours and one of the most efficient drive thrus in New Mexico in general. Everything on the menu is recommended. The quesadilla boxes are a go to for me. I usually really like Taco Cabana, but I experienced some really rude people here at this new one on Unser. We went on the 1st week of August later in the evening. We went inside to eat. The line was pretty long which was fine. The person in front of me had a gift card. The clerk taking her order was so frustrated and annoyed she had a gift card. I noticed the cashier didn't pay attention and he kept attempting to run it like a credit card. Until the woman customer spoke up and told him. Anyway, that must have got him even more grumpy because when it came to me to place my order he was very rude with me. I was ordering for my family, which of course is more then one item. But after every item he would say is that all with a very rude tone in annoyance of me. He said "is that all?" A total of like 5 times! He needs to realized I waited long myself. My order was in no way complicated. When the ordering process was over. He slammed down the cups with the lip part of cup facing down on counter. My husband paid then we walked to feel our cups with soda. And that same cashier cut right in front of us to fill a portion of his cup. He then drank it while standing and blocking the entire selections. Then he returned to his cashier station to help other customers. After we received our food, another man who was cleaning tables and removing trash from trash cans. Gave a nasty ugly rude face to my baby! What for be so rude to my innocent baby?? The two clerks I encountered rude. It's really too bad because I enjoyed there food a lot and I won't be going back. I never did speak with I manager. But I think I will call. read more
