Haven't been here and over a year,but was in the area and didn't want to get ripped off again at the other big chain taco/burrito place that starts with a "C". Had a bean & cheese burrito and again, it looked like a big fat Richard. Why can't anyone make a normal burrito (long)? Had chicken tacos with guacamole (40 cents extra) saw traces of a little green, but couldn't confirm it to be guacamole (rip off). Very poor sauce variety. At the time,no other customers were in the dinning area and most the tables were dirty, while one employee was on a personal call, another came out of the kitchen with for his break (free for all work environment) This place is ran with a 6th grade mentality management, therefore will probably stay in business as long as the clientele never succeeds the mentality of the staff. read more

We were first greeted by a gentle giant with a kind smile but the apron he wore was covered from top to bottom with well, I just over looked it to keep my experience here in the positive. After ordering we went to get our drinks were there was no ice and no sweet tea. We told the employee that took our order and after a few minutes of no action I told someone in the back that seemed to be preoccupied by their phone. Still nothing occurred so naturally a manager was sought out. After getting our food we realized that not only was the salsa bar unkept with no rhyme or reason, there was no salsa ranch, none. At all. Not even in the back. Oh, and the mens bathroom had no paper towels to dry my hands. Poorly managed establishments like this make it hard to eat on a budget. Priced good. Service terrible. The tacos were not served hot, the chorizo and egg taco only had about a tablespoon and a half of egg and chorizo the taco was very skinny. The bean and cheese taco I ordered with extra cheese but I got extra beans and not enough cheese. I also had a little bit of lettuce in it by the careless job they did of making it. I'm not impressed. Cold tacos and still hungry. The only good thing about this trip was the prompt and friendly service. Great place for Mexican cantina food on the go. It's cheaper than Chipotle and the plates are pretty balanced for what you get. The only real downside is the drinks can be expensive and the beans are tortillas aren't vegan. read more

I should have looked into this place before ordering. I ordered on the app, and noticed I saw a reward for a free quesadilla. I waited in the line for fifteen minutes to try and redeem the meal. After awhile my cabana bowl was obviously getting cold, so I just left. Multiple people waiting in line, just left. I've never seen a restaurant so poorly ran. Also the beef in my cabana bowl was horrible, after a few bites I threw it away. Waste of money and food. read more

Good food but ALWAYS have problems with getting the correct food that we order.. We ask for an enchilada platter, one time we just got enchiladas, most of the time we never get the regular queso that we ask for it on top, and recently it's not as full as it usually is. Even the taco bowls are half full, and they said the drink comes with the platter for free but still charged us for it.. The food is always good but we always get smaller portions than regular, not what we asked for, missing something or getting overcharged. And we come here pretty frequently and have at least one problem EVERY TIME. read more

I am a native Texan and have visited many TCs over the span of my 34 years. I often say it is my favorite fast food establishment, and my family loves it too. I moved to The Woodlands 7 months ago and have been sorely disappointed with this location. In no way does it uphold or represent the Texican/Texmex/Tejano feel or tradition that you find with every other TC location and their staff. The College Park staff are a revolving door of rude, African American individuals that couldn't care less for their customers or the food they are preparing. The lack of class and basic manners, the appearance of the food, the countless order mistakes that are made EACH AND EVERY VISIT and the utter air of disloyalty to their job and fellow Texans should bring feelings of shame to the parent company of Taco Cabana, Fiesta Restaurant Group. Casual local cuisine is what you claim to excel in, clearly this location has been left to self destruct. It is widely and well known what a joke this location is, and that you should avoid it if you live here. I'd rather you guys shut this location down than continue to run it with its lack of supervision and overwhelming attitude of "not my problem, I'm just here for a paycheck"....I would be humiliated and sad to learn that a non Texan or new customer of TC experienced the College Park store on their first visit. Because I assure you, it would also be their last. This Taco Cabana needs to clean house: new management, new staff and new training of long time employees. There are always ALWAYS staff members "on break" in the dining room, either eating, visiting with fellow team members also "on break", or sitting in the dining room with headphones on listening to music amongst the customers. The wait for to go food is like nothing I've ever experienced, and could likely be forgiven if our food was fresh, prepared correctly, warm and not shoveled into a container like pig slop. Sadly, our family is met with issues every time we visit. It is our hope that this review does not fall on unhearing ears. As Texans we deserve the Taco Cabana many of us have grown up with since 1978. Our faith is in a Texas tradition, please do not continue to ignore our concerns. read more

I love TC, so much better than Taco bell. Fresh pick de gallo and salsa for the chips. I always get the street tacos and I have yet to be disappointed. Chips and queso come with the Taco combo and I am loving the price. If you want something other than Taco Bell you must try this, you'll never go back. read more

I will give them a better rating than most. I find it hard to give a good rating when you spend 5 minutes waiting for two employees to stop talking before taking a customer's order. I will use the app next time. The food is a great value. The green enchiladas are as good as Pappacitos. However, you have to eat them off a styrofoam plate with a plastic fork. Staffing is slim, so be prepared to clean your own table and wait after you finally get someone to take your order. The drink refill policy is over the top, but it is probably for the best based on the lack of clean tables. read more

I even called to let them know I was 10 mins out and would be there. They again assured me it would be ready by 6:30am. Well ... when I arrived they poor lady making the food looked at me like I was crazy because it was the first she heard of the order! She is amazing! She worked so hard to make all 7 dz tacos! However...the gentleman wearing the black shirt, Kevin. Was very whatever about it and although he did give a discount on the bill... his actions of some sort of sorry would have been better. This is honestly ridiculous... every time I have payed a visit to this TC the service is always slow, the employees are always extremely rude and or don't know how to do they're job without someone right next to them.. I have been siting in the drive-thru line for at least 20 minutes now and they've moved ONE car. I understand that the food is made to order but there is no way it takes 20 minutes to complete an order.. by the time you get up to the window and get your drinks you find out that the tea is old and then revive a horrible attitude when you ask you change your drink choice. It's very sad that nothing has changed over the past years even with the management being adjusted several times. And when I got up to the window and payed I had to ASK for my card back. I love to eat at taco cabana in Huntsville. The food is made from scratch. This is not a fast food restaurant but has a window for folks who want to get food to go. The employees are so kind and very helpful. This a great place to unwind. I will give this place 5 star's. Why, even when they are extremely busy with food going out 3 different ways they always seem to find a way to make sure that everyone dinning in is well taken care of. Well once again I tried the SLOW, non responsive Taco Cabana in the Woodlands on 242. Every so often we want some Cabana breakfast tacos, which are normally fairly tasty. The only issue is, can you really even get anything to eat at this location? Got there around 10:40am and the drive thru line was wrapped around to the front door....not a good sign. After sitting there for 5 mins, I decided it might be better to just go inside and order Togo. Well unfortunately a couple others decided to do the same. When I entered the building they were all standing there waiting to place an order. No one was helping them? Finally I just decided to get online and place an order, since no one inside would take my order. Ordered it, and it would be ready at 11:18....we'll I actually received my food at 11:40 instead (he didn't start making it until I asked twice where was my order?). This is not uncommon for this location. NO MANAGEMENT I GUESS? All the employees just work in "sloth slow motion". No one cares to get items out quicker. They constantly forget parts of the orders. I came here at the end of lunch hour, even though it wasn't crowded, there looked like a lot of people were waiting for their orders. If I didn't love breakfast tacos so much, or if there were decent other breakfast taco options nearby, I would never come back. As it is, I suffer through the LONG waits and mistakes. I've gotten breakfast taco boxes a few times. When I go in to order, it inevitably takes 30-45 minutes for the box. I tried ordering online once, and not any quicker. They didn't start making my box until 20 minutes after I arrived, after I asked multiple people. Meanwhile, I watched several boxes being made and delivered to people in the drive thru line (As an aside, if you are ordering 2 dozen tacos through the drive thru, you suck.), as they have a timer above the drive thru window to make them speed up drive thru orders. When I try buying just one or 2 tacos through the drive thru, it takes 10-15 minutes, mostly due the above people who are ordering 2 dozen tacos in the drive thru line. They've mischarged me on orders (added 1.99 for adding an egg to a bean taco, when I ordered a bean and egg taco which is on the menu for less than the cost of the "extra egg"). I have to prompt them to give me salsa at the drive thru window (I love their salsa bar when I order inside). I've had to prompt them to give me my drink on multiple occasions. And they've given me the wrong drink once. Why do I go back? Because of that annoying breakfast taco craving...They do have delicious tortillas and salsa. read more

Not fast food. This restaurant somehow needs to SEPARATE people ordering 50-100 Breakfast tacos from those who are gear for an INDIVIDUAL quick breakfast. One or two people in line or drive through with extra large order screws everyone else. These are two separate businesses and cu Would now give it a zero if possible. Why? Honestly the food is ok. HOWEVER, the customer service is horrible. Several times I come here and the wait is ridiculous, staff is short in numbers and the kitchen is always looking like a hurricane turned it upside down. July 2017 update Rated this place four stars today. They must have no management because someone was actually at the front to take my order. I didn't have to wait for someone to notice me like EVERY time before today. The tv was on and the music was playing. My food was actually hot which is also new, and the breakfast tacos were stuffed. Whatever you did at this location please keep it up! 2016 Visited this location again today. Again there was nobody at the front desk to take my order. There is never anyone waiting to take an order. I have to get the attention of someone in the kitchen and they get someone to help me. And of course the person was not very friendly. I order a two taco combo for breakfast. Neither one was hot or even warm and they barely put anything in the tacos. Doesn't management wonder why the Whataburger right next door is always busy and the Taco Cabana is always dead? Taco Cabana and I go way back, all through my high school years when it provided me a place to grab tasty late night eats with my friends long after every other establishment in the area had closed. It's still just as great as ever, and I couldn't wait to come back here for a few reasons: - the tortillas are made fresh, literally hot off the press - the food is always hot and made to order, and comes up in about 3 minutes, big steaming platters of rice and beans, tacos wrapped hot in foil - the breakfast tacos are to die for, pick up a big batch for coworkers on your way to work and everyone will love you forever - the salsa bar, enough said - it has a liquor license and serves beer and margaritas! - it's open late on weeknights, 24 hours on weekends - all this and the prices are comparable, if not cheaper than Taco Bell I have spent many a 3am here with my order of queso and tortillas, and have been craving this place since I moved out of state. So if you're looking for some genuinely good fast food Tex Mex this is definitely it. read more

I had not eaten at a Taco Cabana since the days of the Two Pesos / Taco Cabana deal (maybe 20plus years ago). Somehow, I just stopped going and never went back, until today. The service was quietly friendly. In my book this is a plus since I don't go for fast food with an order of "new friend" on the side. Pleasant enough, asked the appropriate questions, offered options, delivered my order as requested in a timely manner- good work! I ordered the Cabana Sampler plate and a happy hour Margarita to try a few of their items. Beans Rice Guacamole Cheese enchilada with a meaty sauce on top Taco Chicken flauta 2 warm steamed thick tortillas A real frozen tequila lime ( or guava) margarita with triple sec with either sugar or salt rim options. Beans and rice are pretty standard. Skipped the tablespoon full of guacamole due to allergy. The red colored cheese enchilada tasted ok, but I've never seen a thinner one. The meat sauce was greasy. I'm expecting after effects from the enchilada sauce. I am pleased to report that none of the items had virtually any pepper heat or any obvious onions, which have become an issue for me due to tummy trouble. The chicken flauta was crispy and ok. I'm not a fan of flautas, so your mileage may vary. I've had worse tortillas. Not a fan of the thick spongy, steamed tortillas. For the type, they were ok. I'm from Texas and am familiar with handmade fresh thin flour tortillas and anything else is subpar. The relative high points were the taco and the happy hour margarita. Of the items I ordered today, in future I might reorder the taco, the margarita, the rice and beans, then maybe try something else from the menu.
