I come here fairly often since it's the closest location to my house. The food is usually pretty consistently good but the service is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the drive-thru. I typically will go there late at night, and more often than not it's pretty dead, but for some reason even if I'm the only customer there, the manager working the drive-thru will always be scrambling and running around at a mile a minute as though it was the middle of the dinner rush, usually rushing through my order, and he sometimes doesn't let me finish asking for my condiments before he shuts the window and runs off... On the few occasions I've gone during the day it's just been an issue of rude drive-thru workers. One time I very clearly ordered three soft tacos and the girl on the other end impatiently exclaimed "WELL HOW MANY YOU WANT??" Erm... The food is still good though, but I'd recommend eating inside if you have the time; my experience with the counter staff has always been better. read more

This is by far the worst Taco Cabana in the area. Within consistently slow service, messed up orders, a dirty restaurant, and mediocre staff, they certainly aren't doing anything to improve their reputation. Every time I come here, I have a bad experience. My order is often messed up, and I, along with other customers, have to wait for an unreasonably long amount of time for our food. I'm not one to write negative reviews, but something really needs to be done to improve the service here. A friend of mine who works at another local Taco Cabana has told me that this 249 location is known among employees as the worst one to work at. The fact that the service at this restaurant is known for being poor speaks for itself. Something needs to be improved here. read more

Really disappointed in this location and I won't be back. I ordered online and arrived at the time specified according to my order, but they had not even begun preparing my food when I got there. It wouldn't have been so bad to have to wait a few minutes, but they were also very rude about it. The girl at the counter offered no greeting but just said "For here or to go?" when I approached the counter. Then after telling her I was picking up an online order and discussing it with her coworker, they concluded that my order would be ready in 10 minutes. No "I'm so sorry for the delay" or "we'll get it ready as quickly as possible". They seemed very unconcerned that it wasn't ready on time. She just said "We got busy". So I waited in my car for almost 15 minutes to hopefully give them plenty of time to get it prepared, but when I went back inside to the counter, it still wasn't ready. So I waited for a few more minutes. Finally everything was ready and I was just waiting on the condiments. When they were ready, the young lady just brought them to me stacked up on the counter without bothering to put them in a bag. I already had my hands full with the order so there's no way I could've carried 2 bags, a large box AND a stack of containers balanced in top of one another so I asked for a bag for the condiments. Clearly exasperated with my request, she tossed me a plastic bag and said "Here ya go". She didn't offer to bag them up for me or thank me for my order. Nothing. So I bagged up my own condiments and went on my way. I realize these things seem insignificant, but add them all up and it wasn't a pleasant experience. Customer service is SERIOUSLY lacking here and they're going to lose customers because of it. It's not the first time it's happened, but it's the first time I decided to actually say anything about it and see if anyone else shares my concerns. I love the food, but the workers are not friendly. No greeting, no goodbye, zero friendliness or smiles... Just nothing that makes you want to return. So I've finally learned my lesson and this was most definitely my last visit. It's really too bad. Management needs to step up and train their employees on how to properly interact with customers. I feel I was treated as if I had done something wrong and not them. All I did was place an order and show up on time to pick it up. read more

let me start by saying I never write reviews but today me and my friend ordered 1 chicken fajita nachos and 1 beef fajita nachos and a beef fajita quesadilla with a side of chips and cheese and 2 drinks. we didn't get the order of chicken fajita nachos which okay we could handle that but all of the chips we got were stale and the LITTLE beef fajita we did get in BOTH the quesadilla and nachos had a weird taste and rancid smell to it so we stopped eating it. the cashier told us everything was in there but still had our drinks at the register. so we paid for food we didn't receive and the food we did receive was horrible, on top of that the employees are always so sluggish and rude when ordering. this is completely unacceptable! this location should really be shut down. read more

I ordered chicken quesadillas and they are the worst food item I have ever received from this taco cabana. I'm not even sure that they used tortillas for the top and the bottom. The top and the bottom are soaked in oil and grease that it makes this entire thing in edible. Thank goodness I also ordered rice. I will not be going back to this taco cabana. Double check your order at the store. They are three for three with a mess up on my ordersr Management actually does not seem to care that the employees are totally and completely incompetent. This last mistake they offered to make better by giving me an extra sour cream when I decided to come back into the store. How does that fix a messed up order from the drive-through? I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but it just ends up in frustration. On my previous two mistakes they have offered to have customer care cards for me at the cashier but those cards were never at the cashier for me and they did not even have records of me calling in. My best advice is find a different taco cabana somewhere or go to a different restaurant instead. Definitely not worth the frustration or surprise that will be waiting in your drive-through bag for you - it will definitely not be what you ordered read more

I had one good experience stopping by the drive through before going to work - the whole process took less than five minutes and I was so excited because the time before that took almost 20-25 minutes in the drive through. This morning, I saw a long line on the drive through so I decided to go inside and order in person. Nobody paid attention to me until I had to flag someone down first... I then ordered and waited over 10 minutes until another worker comes in and made my two tacos. When I walked out I realized they paid no attention to the people inside and was taking care of the drive through orders first, which made me angry. So if you must have Taco C, go through the drive through as they don't care about you as a person. I'm sad to give a one star review because I generally love Taco C. I love Taco Cabana breakfast tacos and last night I went there ordered 3 bacon egg and cheese tacos. I sat there and watched the girl only put two in the bag and I asked her if all three were in there she told me yes. I drove down the street pulled over open the bag and of course there's only two only bacon and egg no cheese. Only had 3 pieces of steak on my steak nachos so when I addressed this to the manager he stood there with his mouth open for a long 5 mins finally telling me he ran out of steak so I asked if I could get my full portion he was very hesitant finally after refusing his beverage on the house lol he started another order. I love Taco Cabana but this has got to be one of the worst locations. I stopped in this morning and i was told it was going to be a minimum of 20 to 30 mins for anything off the menu. The manager was running around with a phone on her shoulder looking panicked and the cadhier seemed less than enthusiastic about being there. I try giving this location chance after chance because its close to our place. Aside from getting my orders wrong and the place being a mess most of the time, the food at least is consistent. Wowwwww! I kid you not we waited over an hour for our FOUR breakfast tacos on a Sunday morning. I had never seen such a flustered, unorganized, horribly managed staff in my life. The place was a complete, utter mess. Dirty tables, no coffee, trash on floors and counters, wrong orders, furious customers asking for their money back. I felt so bad for the young female manager. I should've known better than to get a burrito at a place named "Taco Cabana." As soon as I unwrapped my burrito from the tin foil, I was destined for a messy disaster. This was by far our worst experience at this location. It took 30 minutes to get out food. My wife's beans were dried out and inedible. My rice was cold and clumpy. The main courses were ok. The manager( I guess she was a manager) tried to make it right by giving us free chips and queso. That was nice, but it did not make up for the long wait.
