I've never actually eaten inside, but my dad is always great to bring me my favorite Tamales! They serve up some of the best tamales I've ever tasted! I believe they only have them on the weekends, but it is so worth it! One order lasted me 2 days, so come with a big appetite. P.S. The sauce that comes with the tamales is HOT! Use with caution. The guacamole is seriously addictive! It's filled with chunks of fresh avocado, tomato, and herbs. Love it!! Definitely the best authentic Mexican food around!

Wow this place is interesting :). A little sketchy on the outside for sure! Took me a while to decide if I was coming in or not. When I walk in I feel like I'm in a little pueblo in Mexico. But the food looks delicious! It is all home made and large portions. Small business and has a mini market in the front so you have to walk all the way to the back to order your food. No prices on food though and be sure to be patient if you do not speak Spanish as this is the primary language when you walk in. Grade A/99.0 rating on sanitation and cleanliness.

Always delicious! Tacos are my favorite! I love that it is authentic...being there feels like being at a restaurant in Mexico! I love the carnicería and the store too! It's nice to have a local place to get authentic Mexican things!

ONE WORD-YUM!!

This place is the closest to the Mexican food we are accustomed to in Texas. True made from scratch Mexican coffee. Guacamole fresh with nice chunks of avocado. Love the huevos rancheros on Saturday morning! Tacos are flavorful and delicious. Beware-if you can't read Spanish you'll have a hard time figuring out the menu.

The have fantastic authentic Mexican food but the menu is in Spanish so if you don't speak Spanish bring an app that can translate for you. Anything on the menu will be fantastic! It is inside of a market and there are only a few tables but it's always packed.

I enjoyed a chicken torts which is HUGE, along with a cool and creamy cup of horchata.

We also got an appetizer of corn ribs because... that stuff is delicious. I appreciate the tea being brought in GIANT glasses, as I was never wanting for a refill. I don't see why more places don't do this, what an easy way to relieve your server of a common service pain point. There was also a birthday party while we were there, and let me tell you, the entire restaurant... lights, music, and all... shifts into party mode when it's time to sing that person a song. Pretty impressive. Anyway, back to the food. We did enjoy the corn ribs, but they were pretty messy and difficult to eat. I have seen some examples at other places where the kernels were easier to get at, or you could even eat the husk part because it was so thin. Also, we would have liked a little more, the ribs did not even really add up to a full large ear of corn. The fajitas for two were really good and a huge portion. Very tender meat and veggies. We would have liked to see more pineapple. The chunks were small and a little sparse on the skillet, so in the end, we didn't get much of that tropical flavor. In the end, it wasn't enough to deduct a star as we had an excellent overall experience. Thanks amigos!

Update for our 2026 annual visit:…read more We ate in this year and the service and ambiance matched the quality of the food we had last year. I have been looking forward to the World Ninja Championships so that I can eat here again and the team did not disappoint. I had the special, chilaquiles supreme and YES! Flank steak butterflied and so tender that I cut through it easily with a butter knife. They make the chips fresh for each order of chilaquiles and you can taste it. Generous amounts of every flavor that went into the meal and I left stuffed! Hands down, my favorite place and I have a feeling we are making a second trip here this year for sure! First impression as you walk in, or look at images of the menu: AUTHENTIC! First impressions when you bite into your food: They nailed the first impression! I had the lingua, tripa, pez, and Pastor tacos. My family had the California burrito, chicken and beef tacos, and the Enchiladas Mexicanos with mole and salsa verde. We also added a side of guac and chips. Guac: thin mixed avocado and perfectly sized chunks mixed in with the tomato and seasonings. An absolute must! The 4 tacos I ate were succulent to say the least. The tripa was thin and crispy, but you could taste the rendered fat in them. It had the texture of perfectly cooked bacon. Al pastor is one of my favorites and this one did not disappoint. Then there was the pez taco that was just the right amount of crispy without being an iota overcooked. At last I ate the lingua taco. It melted in my mouth and I immediately wanted another. I don't even like mole sauce, but I couldn't stop eating the mole enchilada. Aces, hands down. The California burrito was phenomenal and had the perfect amount of each ingredient and a delectable amount of heat and sweet cream sauce. The chicken was obviously hand shredded and had equal amounts of larger chunks of meat and thin pulled pieces to soak up all the flavor in endless nooks and crannies. If you have not been here please do your palate a flavor and stop in. The value far exceeded the price of our meals and we plan on coming here every year when the World Ninia finals rome to town

The guac is the best! Perfectly seasoned and definitely not scooped from a tub. Tried the Carne Asada, Pastor, and Chorizo tacos. YUM! The service was friendly and fast but not rushed, vibe is casual - great for a quick bite or margs with friends. I used to love the Sopes here but didn't see on the menu this time. Maybe I missed?

The restaurant itself was really clean despite the lunch rush just having gone through. So we were really impressed with the tables being kept up after the lunch rush and the chairs were comfortable as well. The prices are fair especially with how good the food is. Even our family friend who is notoriously picky was impressed by the food. One downside was that it was difficult to understand the lady behind the counter however we were able to order by pointing to what we wanted. One of the meals we got we aren't sure exactly what it was, as we pointed to something someone else had gotten. Our friend got the chicken quesadilla and she said it was really good. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the guacamole. It was a bit thin and bland. We went based on a recommendation of a coworker who said they had three tacos for $9.99 as part of a meal and they said they were so good and it was a really great value which is why we went there. We definitely weren't disappointed and plan on returning.

With what I learned, I just can't see myself going back and anybody who has Alpha-Gal syndrome, you may want to really think twice about what you ordered here. I ordered a vegetarian combo meal and got the food, I ate it and about a half hour later I was on the toilet, and it was not a fun night. I called the restaurant the next day because I've had this happen to me before, although with this place, I ordered through GrubHub so I wasn't able to ask questions, but you assume when something is listed as vegetarian that it actually is. Anyway, the refried beans are sometimes fried and vegetable oil, sometimes fried and lard. The day that I ordered mine, well all week they had been fried and lard which makes them not vegetarian. When you stop consuming those types of animal byproducts your stomach doesn't know how to digest them so I had this food and my body immediately was like what's going on and sure enough trying to reject it. Somebody who has Alpha Gal syndrome like I mentioned earlier can get super sick from this, like it could have serious detrimental effect on them.

We always get cheese enchiladas ordered this way and unfortunately the restaurant didn't see the request and we got beef. The driest beef enchiladas I have ever tasted. The service is good as the staff is friendly and prompt on checking on you or refilling your chips and salsa. Ambiance is friendly although it was a bit cold the day we went so we left our jackets on throughout dinner. Business there is typically steady so if you go at a peak time there may be a wait. We went at 5:30 on a Friday and got right in but by the time we left around 7, the wait was a few people deep. The food is always good and portions are large. As with most Mexican places, they start you off with chips and salsa. The chips do not have salt on them so you may need to add it if you enjoy a salted chip. The salsa is good and not very spicy although my wife who doesn't do spice said it was a little much for her. I had the Cocina plate which is chicken, shrimp, and steak with onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese sauce over rice. This is my go to as it's delicious and always hits the spot. My wife had a fajita quesadilla that was overflowing with meat and veggies and she really enjoyed. We tried some of their Paloma drinks this last time which were very strong but had good flavor.
