They tasted absolutely horrible, I would've gonna to the frozen section in a grocery store if I wanted frozen taquitos. Waste of money. If I could give them a lower score I would. I drive 15 minutes to came here and get the breakfast burrito. They have a sign at the door saying they open at 8am. Was there at 8:05 and door is close, I knocked on door Can I can see they are inside and all they do is wave at me. No courtesy to come to door and explain they where a little late or anything. This is my favorite taqueria around. I have been coming here for probably 12 years getting the carne asada tacos. The perfect blend of chewy, salty, spicy, with lemon or lime. Oh man. They have established my baseline for what a street taco is supposed to be. Their hard shell tacos have a spicy guacamole that is just too good. The horchata was also good and I love that they have styrofoam cups( i live in the bay area so it's to have a drink stay cold!) Its good cheap mexican food. I mean it is better than most and not as good as some but the food is made to order, the service is fast and friendly and the beer is served VERY cold. Not much else you can ask for. They have good salsa as well. Just keep in mind this is a SMALL place so there is not a lot of room for a ton of people. read more

We stopped by after a recommendation from a friend and had the small soft taco plates of chicken chili verde, al pastor, chili colorado, and asada. My al pastor was so spicey I had to pass my other one to my husband who loves spicey and thought it was great. This is a very small place with limited seating, but service is friendly, efficient and there are good beers to choose from. We will be back! read more

Was in Morro Bay area and randomly found this place, saw a few ppl go in, so decided to drop by. The food took awhile (for taqueria food). 3 or so ppl in front of us in line, but after we ordered about 10 more rolled in. Steady stream of patrons. Ordered the combo1 (2 tacos plus rice & beans). He ordered combo2 (enchilada & 1 taco and r&B). The portions seem a bit small compared to what is expected fo taquerias. However, i was pleased my tacos weren't greasy (sometimes the tortilla gets warmed in a grill that's been saturated and accumulated w/ lard and oil). The chicken was breast taht was cooked to shred (unlike some places that just flash fry it) so i appreciated that. However, portions were abit on the small side and i am not a big eater. I noticed they have 2 other locations. Perhaps we may get to try their SLO location in the future. read more

If the man is there everything is perfect he is so nice which is why I have any stars at all. But.. last time I picked up food for my family every single one of us got sick. We ordered and were charged for guacamole and they gave us salsa instead that tasted like alcohol. My dad has an allergy to most spicy salsas so I asked for the mild on his tacos and they put the spicy and he had migraines and nausea for 3 days. He also asked for no onions and they still put them on his tacos. I asked specifically for rice beans and lettuce in a Togo box and they gave me a small bowl instead & the beans tasted weird. This was the best taco place left but now idk if I'll go back. Every single one of our orders were messed up, we all got sick, and one of us had an allergic reaction to something we didn't even order. read more

Although they have a friendly staff, their food is sort of disappointing. The fish tacos look like they went to mcdonalds and chopped up the fish and put it on a corn tortilla with 2 slices of onion and green peppers. I can't tell if the green stuff they put on my plate was runny guacamole or thick salsa verde. My friend's tacos came with meat that looked old. The stars were for customer service. This was the WORST Mexican food I have EVER had. And I used to live in the Midwest so I know some terrible Mexican food. This was 10 times worse. We were trying to find a place to eat quickly because we were on a road trip to go up North and thought we'd try it out on a whim. We ordered our typical restaurant favorites; cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, and a quesadilla for our daughter. I took one bite of the enchilada and immediately wanted to spit it out. I thought to myself to try it again, maybe it was a bad bite? It only got worse. My poor daughter's quesadilla was a flood of grease. There was so much cheese, I was worried she would choke on it. I then thought that certainly, you can't screw up beans and rice? I was wrong. Terrible, my stomach is turning thinking about it. We actually went to this place last month. We were thinking about that weekend we traveled, and all the memories came flooding back. You might be thinking, "Was it really that bad?" The answer is yes, so so bad. :( This whole thing really makes me sad. Mexican food is my favorite thing in the world. I want to go to local Mom and Pop shops like this to support small business. Every time I come here and order the tacos (the beef and carnitas are equally delicious) I see them and wonder if my memory serves me right. These were supposed to be the best tacos I've ever had? Did they always look so... mediocre? But then every time I take a bite and remember that, yes, these are definitely the best. Somehow they manage to hide the flavor until you bite into them, but you will not be disappointed. The focus of the flavors is obviously on enhancing the natural flavor of the meat - you won't be tasting tomatoes, lettuce or onions first, but rather onions and cilantro and a subtle salsa as refreshing aftertastes, just playing off of the savory deliciousness that is the meat. If you're looking for spicy tacos, get the beef tacos with hot sauce. If you're looking for savory, get the carnitas tacos by themselves. read more
