Came here yesterday to order some Tacos. Got 2 of each (Chicken, Al Pastor, Carnitas). All of them tasted great. I like the fact that they give you a decent amount of proteins inside each taco. I also noticed they have Shrimp or Fish tacos; gonna have to give them a try next time. They are not allowing customers to walk in. You can order online, by phone, or walk-ins to the front of the door. My order overall took about 15 mins. Not bad. The girl at the register was really nice. I had phoned it in and waited about 15 minutes which is what they predicted. The one thing I did not like is that I guess they were shortstaffed and the girl at the register was also helping move and cut garnishes. She is cross contaminated without even realizing it. She didn't even wash her hands. She had just dealt with money and cards from customers and then she went back picked up lettuce and move stuff around and cut things up. Didn't care for that whatsoever. Kind of made my stomach turn just a bit. Because if that's what she's doing when people are around I can only imagine what types of things are doingWhen people are not around. Now as far as taste goes I ordered both Carnitas and Carne asada there. For the price of 129 you get a decent amount of Carnitas meat. This place is kinda hidden between some other businesses, but it's right off the freeway. I ordered my usual at taco places, just carne asada tacos and a cola. If you know about optimal temp when drinking a cola, let me assure you this one was perfect temp. The tacos were soo good, they come with onion cilantro and guacamole sauce, I said no guacamole. They have red and green sauce on side anyway. The meat was seasoned well and juicy like a steak, not all burned up and dry. Yesterday I was in this area and decided to get tacos from here since my first experience was great. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with this visit. The female cashier was nice but the gentleman in the back was extremely rude. When we came in, we didn't realize the door did not close all the way. He comes out huffing and puffing and makes it very well known that he had to close the door and was not happy about it. All they had to ask was can you get the door and I would have realized it gets stuck and closed it. It didn't make a good impression. Then when we got our food my hands were full along with my child's. I saw the door got stuck again and as I went to place the food on my car to go back and close the door, the gentleman came out again and made it known he had to close the door again. After that, I was like I won't be back. It is such a disappointment after being treated so kindly by the owner the first time. When we got home, the food definitely didn't taste like the first time either. It was just an unpleasant experience and I will spend my money elsewhere. I absolutely crave taco grill when they are not open! I love their shredded beef hard tacos and there salsa verde! The meat has a slight sweetness to it , in the shredded beef, which reminds me of how my Abuelita used to make certain dishes! Every family has their special recipes and theirs reminds me of my abuelita's food from Mexico City. This small restaurant kicks butt! They do so much with such little space! It's a tiny tiny place you would miss it if you blinked but the taste is big! Veggies are fresh in my bowl and chicken is tender and full of fresh flavor! Never too greasy. Reminds me of what Chipotle's bowl would be like if it wasn't fast food and makes your tummy hurt after. Boyfriend had the El pastor tacos and the meat is super tasty and tender. Flavorful and the corn tortillas are tasty and street taco sized so you get 3 per plate with 2 salsas - the spicy isn't very spicy FYI. Would go again! Maybe they should offer training to many other businesses who lack customer service. Second, food is great! The carne Asada has amazing flavor, the carnitas are cooked perfectly. I'm sorry, but for as much as Glendora locals want to believe this is 5-star Mexican food -it isn't. I ordered a sope and a quesadilla. The sope had hot shredded cheese melted on top of the lettuce (why not use cotija or queso fresco?!) , and there was some strange, salty sauce on the beans that I couldn't identify. Unfortunately during the times of Covid, it seems that reviews are more generous than they should be because people are either trying to save local businesses or their taste buds are skewed to think anything is good if it wasn't home made or coming out of a crock pot. I ordered the taco sampler platter and the vegetarian nachos. ALL of the meats were bland except for the chicken which says a lot since typically chicken is the blandest thing in a Mexican restaurant. This place is not easy to find so that fits the description as a "HIDDEN GEM". Best item: veggie taco I was meeting a friend there but he couldn't find it despite he was just standing next to it. If you are facing Sport Chalet, the taco grill is located at the building on your right hand side next to the Thai place that just opened. (The sign outside does not have light at night so it was not easy to spot). the menu is just one page and simple to understand. As the first timer, I went with 4 tacos of 4 different meats. After she brought out the plate to my table and explained to me which is which. I forgot in 10 seconds... 2nd time I ordered veggie tacos and my friend had taquitos. 3rd time I decided to go with veggie tacos again and ordered shredded beef and grilled chicken. veggie tacos were so good. If you prefer light flavor, this is the one. You can tasted all the ingredients with their original flavors. the grilled taco was better than shredded beef. The shredded beef was too soft and too bland for me. The tortillas was a little too hard and dry at my last visit. I am not big fan of their chips. I don't get why their chips was so greasy. They also fried the chips a little too long so it tasted harder rather than crispy for my last visit. This is a small restaurant only able to sit 10 people and besides one table the rest seating were all bar or high table seating. Most people take order to go but I always went after dinner peak so most of the time there was one table occupied. The girl who works at the counter is super nice and cheerful. NEW FAVORITE TACO PLACE FOR ME!!! Oh goodness, where do I start! This little place is right next door to Wang Wang. It decent sized and more than enough for me. It consisted of rice, beans, a guacamole sauce, a lot of meat for every bite. Their super nachos are amaZING! The chips with the tacos were freshly made, crispy, not oily and had just enough hint of salt to make you enjoy every single bite therefor I was thrilled when the chips on the nachos were just as delicious. The nachos were shared between the husband and I and disappeared within minutes. Beans, sour cream, cheese and lots of meat in them. The chips also stayed pretty crispy throughout our meal but then again, we ate them pretty fast. Both salsas are pretty good, the red spicy one being my favorite and during my second visit I had no trouble asking for them to double up on that sauce for me. You can go ahead and phone in your order as well and just drive to it to pick it up to go, which I think its awesome! I know the place is small and being that its not too far from home for me, we went ahead and placed our second order to go. They had it ready on time, well packaged so that the food wouldn't get cold or spill during the drive back. This place not only has tasty, extraordinary quality and excellent flavorful food, it also has affordable prices. Expensive and flavourless. That's all I can say about the Beef Flautas Plate. Flautas were super soggy. Elementary school taquitos were crunchier and more flavourful than these so called "flautas." I've had better refried beans from a can than what they serve here at Taco Grill. And don't get me started on the rice. It's essentially plain white rice with colour. Save yourself a couple of bucks by going to a legit Mexican Restaurant. But if you really insist on trying Taco Grill out, then pay in cash. We just had the Taco Grill cater a celebration of life for us in San Dimas and everything was exceptional! We ordered food for 100 people; we talked everything through with Sarah ( who is unbelievable!!) and got carne asada, pollo asada and carnitas. With that she delivered rice, beans, tortillas, 3 different salsas, cilantro, onions and limes. Sarah took care of everything, she delivered the food on time, brought all of the stuff we needed to serve the food and all of the plates and utensils...literally set up everything and we did nothing! My brother likes their fish tacos. My aunt will try anything they have. Recently she started trying their 5 tacos sampler which she loves. My husband loves their carne asada burrito. By the way, they serve orange bang drink. Yum! I can tell they use quality ingredients because I once saw a delivery from a market in Baldwin Park. That market is a good place. The staff here is great! They recently have new hires. So far, they're very helpful. This is a family-owned business. Great place! Stopped by here after visiting someone at the hospital. It was easy to find. The place itself is small so try to plan to take it to go, but there are a table and bar table to sit at too. You can call ahead your orders. Meat selection is great and they have a good variety of foods to choose from. (Tacos, flautas, taquitos, burritos, quesadillas, sopes, etc) check out the menu online. This was one case in which Yelp steered me into a fabulous restaurant that satisfied all the requirements for a potential 5-star rating: first, it's gotta be reasonably priced. Next, pics of its food should look decent enough to entice me. And finally, comments and reviews as an aggregate should not be exceedingly negative. And yeah, Taco Grill's got all that going on, so we drove over to see if it's true. When I arrived, I finally realized that not only is Taco Grill located in the same plaza as Cafe Mixu, it is in fact right next door. I just visited Cafe Mixu last week (not yet reviewed as of now), and couldn't be more excited to confirm that the same plaza, indeed, has many other options waiting for me to explore. This won't be the last of me this plaza will see! Parking wasn't a problem on a Saturday afternoon, which was great. I hate finding parking. The place looked cleaned, though extremely tiny. There're maybe two tables, plus some wall-table-bar-stool situation going on, but that's about it. It won't house many guests, but take-out is always a viable option, as with most taco places. The entire store front was decorated in a Hawaiian, beach resort type of theme. It didn't quite make sense. Was it going for a Cancun, Mexico type of vibe? The heck I know. I was here for tacos! The chef, (or possibly the owner?), well some male employee, took the initiative to say hi and introduce the menu to us, as he found out that we were first-time customers. I appreciated the readiness to assist. Menu was filled with plenty of options, and easy to navigate. I personally opted for 3 soft tacos with a soft drink named "Cactus Cooler". (Ever heard of it, guys?) I chose carne asada (upcharge required), al pastor (pork), and grilled chicken as the protein for my tacos, with everything, stuff like cilantro and onion, on top. Spicy salsa was provided on the side, along with complimentary chips. Everything came out to be around $9, which was reasonable, leaning to the side of good deal. Making great progress so far, Taco Grill. Food was ready quite quickly. Good job, chefs. All 3 tacos were yummy, though al pastor was my favorite as the pork was drenched in the right amount of moist sauce or seasoning. (Not Hispanic and not a Mexican food expert, so sorry for the limited vocab.) The soft taco tortilla was perfect with the right kind of texture and consistency. The tacos as a whole tasted great. Chips tasted fresh and home made. It's got this slightly oily and greasy feel on the surface, which probably resulted from deep frying just moments ago, so you know it's authentic. Dipping them in the spicy salsa made a great side. Cactus Cooler was an orange-pineapple Fanta-like soda. It was all right. Probably would not order again, and would opt for the Mexican fountain drinks instead. Overall, for what Taco Grill sets out to do, this is probably as good as it gets. With a few selections of taco shops out there in nearby cities, it's nice to know that now I have a reliable option to fall back on with quality guaranteed, because although trying new places is fun, there's always a risk of hit-or-miss.
