Love ordering fast Mexican food from this place. Usually order on Grubhub and they are faster than the estimated arrival. I get the quesadilla, burrito or tostada salad. Really great take out. Go in there order food it's ready quick and fresh and it's always cheaper then chipotle and more quality then Taco Bell way better then chipotle I feel and less expensive. Very Goood burritos and quesadillas and great tacos. The nachos are all the hoot and packed in with cheese guacamole and jalapeño with chili if you ask extra. It's Delish. 2 thumbs up. read more

This place isn't too bad. Tried it out today for the 1st time. I got the Chicken Burrito, chips and Guac. The Guac looked like its been sitting out for a while. Tasted more like a salsa with guacamole added to it. The Chicken burrito was alright. I would rather spend a few dollars more and stop by a Chipolte. read more

I've been here 2 times in the last year and both times they messed up my order. Unfortunately I didn't realize my order was messed up till I left so I was forced to eat food that was not what I ordered. The food is average for a hole in the wall taco place but is priced on the high side. There are so many taco places on Long Island that do an amazing job and don't mess up my order. It's typical, crappy Tex-Mex that can satisfy a craving and won't break the bake. I have not eaten at Taco Hut myself. but my teenage daughter likes the food and finds it fairly priced. This review has to do with an employee, a cashier who cheated my daughter out of $10.00, by pulling a "bait and switch" on her using a bill kept under the register. To pull this on a teenager is indefensible. Therefore, I will NEVER be going back to Taco Hut and neither will my daugher. She has been taught to clearly announce the bill she is breaking going forward, lesson learned. I have just about had it with this place....ive ordered delivery & pick up numerous times and they always seem to mess atleast something up. When somebody asks for sour cream in the burrito it means IN IT, not on the side. This happens every time and i make sure i emphasize in the burrito. Chilli tacos are the sloppiest thing ever, with ground beef pouring out of one side almost like they just took a spoon of ground beef and threw it in and wrapped up the taco. When i ordered for delivery the delivery driver continually calls you because they cant find the address, and they barley speak english. Overall food is decent but it is way over priced and they skimp you on the meat. Stay away if you can, go to chipotle or moes its way better & you'll save a couple bucks. read more

Okay, my first thoughts when my husband and I walked in was this place may not ve truly authentic but we gave it a try anyway and we are glad we did! I had 2 beef tacos and a side of guacamole and my husband had a chicken jack cheese Quesadilla with nachos and cheese. We were very satisfied with our orders and will be visiting again! Disgusting food. Chicken was almost like RAW. I felt more like chewing gum than eating chicken. They took my order and said 30 minutes. After more than an hour later they showed up. I tipped him a little less than usual since they were 30-40 min late, but still a normal acceptable tip amount. The delivery guy shook his head and said "aa, uuu, but.." and walked away which showed his dissatisfaction with the tip amount. You can't just show up 40 min late, have a nasty attitude and expect double digits tips. After all, I thought maybe the food was going to be good. It was absolutely terrible. Chicken can get you sick if not cooked properly. I guess these guys don't know that. As a rule of thumb, when you walk into a place that specializes in food of a certain ethnicity and every single person working there is of some other ethnicity, run for your life. Taco Hut is no exception. These guys have no clue what Mexican food is. And from some of the reviews here, neither do their customers. The fajitas came without peppers and onions. The enchiladas, without enchilada sauce. Rice and beans - tasteless. The steak is actually pretty decent as long as you don't expect it to taste like something Mexican inspired. Sure, sriracha is great...on Asian food. Mexican food, not so much. How bout some Cholula? They also have a homemade sauce in squeeze bottles that's completely tasteless. Overall, a bloody disaster. But, as long as people will accept crap, it will be financially profitable to dispense it, and Long Island will keep getting garbage Mexican restaurants like this one. read more
