Well this location is the nail in the coffin for me after decades of eating at taco John's. No soap or soap dispenser in the ladies room, the staff knew, didn't fix it, and acted like it's no big deal (they needed "district manager approval" to buy hand soap"). They forgot something from my order, then forgot to make it AGAIN when I told them about it. By the time I got my full meal the rest of the food was cold. Oh, and I watched who I am assuming was the manager tell an employee "don't f*%@ing" argue with me" when she pointed out that she told him that and he ignored it. The food is okay, same as any Taco John's. The things that bugs me is that my husband ordered (from a list I sent with him) 6 spicy fried chicken tacos. We received 6 grilled tacos. Not a big deal, I drove back myself to correct the order. Everything hunky dory. But! The lady that took the order said that he said grilled. My husband has no idea, he read off the list so I know he didn't say grilled, he said fried. So here I am, in Taco John's, arguing about what my husband said. Cool, man. I was told to next time not say, "spicy fried chicken tacos", I need to say "fried chicken tacos" with the spicy sauce because the lady who argued with me will get confused... To start I like their food just fine. This particular shop is terrible though. They said they were out of everything when really they had turned their fryers off 2 hours before close. A long line of people waiting as they restart everything. They messed up 3 people's orders in front of us and then messed up ours. Their service is terrible if you go in as they forget about you. We seldom get to a Taco John's, so thought this would be a good opportunity. Missing key items from the drive-thru order we drove 5 miles back to get them. Kid at window immediately says he knows what we're missing and it's still sitting here. REALLY?? Of course we want fresh. Instructed to pull ahead and they'd bring it out. The best service in Wellington hands down. Clean dining area. Fast service with positive attitude. If they believe they are taking a long time they try to make it right. We ate frequently at this location while we stayed at the Days Inn and the staff was always friendly. The food was always fresh and hot. You should avoid going into this store because they have shifted to be fast for drive-thru and as a result are lost when helping at the counter. They basically forgot about us because they were so busy on the drive-thru. I love me some Taco John's. Is it the best Mexican food? Not even close. Is is the best Mexi-Style fast food? Probably not. However, it was one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite in Bozeman, Montana, back in the day. As such, I seem to have an irrational attachment to their food. Sure, my favorite sandwich, the Original "Sierra Chicken" sandwich (the one with a whole boneless chicken breast) is long gone. The strip version that replaced it was sad and disappointing. But, I can still get original crunchy tacos, complete with that "not quite meat, not quite paste", filling that some of us love. Also, the Potato Ole's (that is piping hot and slightly spiced tater tots to those of you not familiar with TJ's) are just short of addictive. Finally, the green super hot sauce (made from pureed whole fire-roasted jalapenos) is so painfully full of capsaicin, that the release of endorphins (happy chemicals) should almost be illegal. No other fast food chain that I am aware of offers a sauce quite this nice. So, why 4 stars for this location? It looked new and clean. And compared to other locations (I am talking to you, the dirty, fly-ridden TJ's/Steak Escape near 58th and I-25) this is somewhat of a rarity near Denver. The staff were friendly and well-groomed. Stop here when in town for business usually on my way out, which I did yesterday. The employees are always great, my complaint would have to be consistency. And my recommendation would be to always check your food before you pull away. There's been a few times where I end up with something completely different. Or something loaded down with grease and inedible. Yesterday I ordered the two taco combo and ended up with some burrito loaded with sour cream and olives. Yuck. read more

Best Tex-Mex Fast Food Restaurant on the Planet! Everything on the menu is delicious and especially wonderful when paired with a side of the delectable potato oles! This restaurant blows Taco Bell out of the water! I'd suggest either meat and potato burrito with beef or the grilled chicken burrito and a side of oles to satisfy your tex-mex cravings. You can't lose by picking a bad item off the menu. This is our favorite stop on the way home to Cheyenne. The people always get our order right. They are very friendly. We witnessed one of the employees helping another employee with her home work. Took forever in the drive-through the lady would not get over their ice tea and my quesadilla was a sliding all over

My experience at the drive-thru yesterday was unacceptable. I ordered a #5 meal and was asked if I'd like that "medium or large", the implication being those were the only two choices. I ordered the "medium". The price seemed high and sure enough, I was up-charged 79 cents for the side and drink being "medium". I asked the very unpleasant drive-thru girl how I should have ordered that meal as to not be charged more than the stated price. After much discussion with co-workers the very confused and annoyed girl tells me, "It's because you ordered medium". How dare I ask a simple question! I also got a look of disgust for asking for sweetener for me tea. With all the decent folks around here looking for work I have to ask myself why business's hire and keep the rude ones. The food at Taco Johns is actually considered west-mex and not Mexican. The food is good, ingredients are fresh, and well prepared. As with most fast-food places, the staff is friendly but always seems to be rushed. Both hard shell and soft shell tacos are good as are their burritos and I really love their churros for desert. They also have a small salsa bar with various types of red and green (very hot) salsas. As Conner E. stated, don't forget to visit their website to save money before visiting the restaurant. My first experience with Taco John's. We're from North Carolina and haven't been to a Taco John's, this was a first for us - and it didn't let us down! Sad military family requested discount besides being rude refused it. Stated must be in uniform

My wife, son and myself witnessed the manager on duty on Saturday Nov 26 treating a member of our military horribly. They asked for their military discount, showed their military I.D. but were refused the discount. The manager didnt even have the respect to tell them in person, instead using the young lady at the drive thru as a go between. Then the woman from the military had to come in because her soda didnt have any syrup, it ran out, they refused to get her another one or refund her purchase, when my wife began to record the stores deplorable behavior they called the police on my wife. The manager refused to talk to anyone and put her staff in a horrible situation. The sherrifs arrived and were equally disturbed by the actions of this Taco John's. The manager was complaining so loud about the military person trying to get their discount we could here her in the lobby.
