This is my experience at the fresh burger stock. We went through the drive-through and they were quick to answer and excellent customer service on the microphone. It's taco Tuesday, so we ordered two sets of three tacos. Upon receiving our tacos, I opened them up and was very unimpressed with not just the look of the tacos, but the taste. Ingredients were thrown all over the tinfoil and one of the tacos wasn't even a full taco as you can see in the picture below so, customer service four out of five and food one out of five. Two of my family members ordered patty melts which were both soggy bread and overcooked dry meat. I ordered a torta with chicken breast so dry it was like jerky. The torta was not a telera but rather some sort of very hard dry inedible square shaped bun. One member of our family ordered onion rings and half of the order came all clumped together so that the batter failed to cook leaving them raw and inedible. The rest of us ordered curly fries that were overcooked and extremely hard making them also inedible. We ended up going home and eating cereal. It was a waste of money. The filling station however kept the beverages very cold and had seating that offered us a chance to rest while we were able to enjoy our choices from their refrigerators. Wow. I had seen local reviews saying the best burger in Estes was hidden in a gas station. They were all right. This place destroys all the tourist spots for flavor, size and price. I brought my family here 5 years ago and that experience wasn't very special. Decided to give it another shot today with my wife. The whole experience in a gas station still interesting but that same gas station now has a local Doughnut place that has earned its place as a long time home town hit. So that gives this burger place a little more legitimacy. This trip I ordered #5 which is Burger with grilled onions and bacon with chipotle Aioli on toasted/grilled bread. What a hidden gem!!! Truly such tasty food that isn't going to cost you a ton of money! The burgers are really tasty without the greasy taste many fast food places have. The curly fries were amazing- those spices were perfect without making it so salty. I really hate salty fries and these were perfect!! The workers are kind and the food is made pretty fast. It is tucked into a gas station and we did a double take when we first drove up- questioning if we had the right place. There is seating on the other side near the donut haus with a great view of the mountains. Seriously such a great stop for food that tastes great, isn't expensive, and doesn't make you feel icky like you just had cheap fast food. You gotta stop here!! This burger joint was highly rated. There were 3 of us dining so we tried a variety of items. The Classic Double Patty Cheeseburger on bun was good. They had ketchup but no relish. Requested no veggies. I ordered hand cut fries but I think they were missed as they were not included but we weren't charged either. The burger was a satisfactory meal on its own. I ordered the Number 2 Avacado Burger. It was made as requested with their "special sauce" and no mayo. I enjoyed the sauce! There were 3 very tiny thin slices of avacado. It was advertised as a double patty and it was. I liked it. I also ordered the fried pickle spears which we shared and finished. The beer battered onion rings were good. I was too full to eat more than a couple. Lastly there was a number 3. It was supposed to be a double bacon burger and we ordered it with no onions and extra pickles. It was supposed to have special sauce on it and the person who ordered it did not feel it was a double patty. There were definitely not two burger patties on her bun and the one burger patty which she felt was fairly thin. There was no Special Sauce- thankfully there was no onion and they did put extra pickles on, I think it might've been a miscommunication during the ordering by telephone. She also ordered a special order of green chili fries-(I think that was what they were called)-she said they were delicious! So we had quite a variety amongst us. I would like to give some of the other items a try .....the sopas and the breakfast items. The Ranch dressing tasted, homemade, and was very good. Everybody used it to do their fried pickles in. We were craving for burgers in Estes Park and came across this place. It's located in a gas station and they share the same parking lot. There's not much seating inside, but they have outdoor seating and also a drive-thru if you're on the go. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. Wait time wasn't so bad though, we waited about 15 minutes for our order. We tried the Patty Melt, Western Buffalo and regular cheeseburger. The Western Buffalo was a little spicy for my little one and ended up eating half of it, but he still gave us his approval. All the burgers were actually filling. Mario's spicy burger - buns were soft on top and toasted on the inside. The patty was juicy and the jalapeños added a nice kick. Torta cubana - the Torta was toasted well so it added a nice crunch. The pulled pork was flavorful and juicy. The ham, pineapple, and cheese worked surprisingly well with the pulled pork and avocado. Torta de Asada - the carne asada was so tender and flavorful.
