I mean where do I really even begin?? No really, where do I? Coming into the restaurant it isn't clear if you seat yourself or go to the counter, you have to figure it out yourself. There are 2 menus, 1 highlighting more brunch style items and the other more lunch and dinner options. My order: 2 chalupa combo (rice & refried beans and drink). You choose your own meat(s), I chose brisket. I rate it 2/5... first issue I got toastadas not chalupas, the flavors were very plain. The jalapeños did the heavy lifting. The brisket was strangely sweet, I didn't enjoy it. Also it was cut wrong(with the grain), every bite drug out the entire piece of meat. Hubby got the 2 taco combo (same as above) he also chose brisket (it was sweet). 1/5, sweet brisket is not his cup of tea. The tacos came with lettuce, tomato and avocado on the side. Where is the cilantro and onion!? To complete our order we tried the churros which were super hot fresh and sweet but the caramel sauce made them one note and easy to get tired of. We also tried the red and greens sauces, neither had much flavor or heat. The meal itself underwhelming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the ambiance was that of a sports bar or bar and grill it wasn't overly loud. The music was low but loud enough to enjoy. The TVs played several different sports networks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was typical, with a nice cashier who answered my questions super nicely. Our food did come out in a timely manner but I would've waited any extra amount of time if that meant the food tasted better. I want to say something more positive but the whole meal lacked love.

I always stop by after going to the dentist. I usually get the spicy fried chicken taco but I feel like they changed the recipe. So this time I got the grilled fish and the shrimp mango habanero tacos. The fish taco was good with the jalapeno ranch. I had to cut the fish in half though. It was just too much. The shrimp tacos were very spicy! And I added the habanero salsa . I also got the disaster queso which never lets me down.

When I visit my family in Dallas we always have a taco night. Because...Texas! This is a good spot for that. They have tasty $7 margs and a delicious selection of tacos. This night I ordered the pork taco and the street taco with chicken. They were both delicious. They are amply stuffed with really good meat and one can find a variety of hot sauces and crema for toppings. The salsa is delicious and the chip basket is self-filled as many times as one would like. Taco Joint is a solid place for Tex-Mex!

I've been here like a hundred times. The food is consistent. Delicious and reasonably priced. Nachos and tacos are all good. Points on their jalapeño ranch dressing. It's always full of people.

Great little spot for fast casual Mexican food. No frills, divey feeling. Their breakfast tacos (not pictured) are great - and they have like 3 different types of salsa. Get the jalapeño ranch!!! For dinner, I like their soup combo. Comes with your choice of taco.

Service is good. I didn't like the tacos and they charge way too much for guacamole. ( it's so small)

Consistently good. Always disappointed that they are out of the green sauce. Still delicious, nonetheless.

The service was excellent, and our server gave us some great recommendations throughout the evening. We tried the I Dream of Kiwi, Only Fans, and the Soft Serve Margarita. The first two were refreshing, fruity, and packed with flavor, while the Soft Serve Margarita was a fun twist on a classic. For food, we had the Caesar salad, beef cheek tacos, and the Apothecary Burger with the truffle fries upgrade. The Caesar was a little too heavy on the dressing for my taste, making it quite fishy, so I'd recommend asking for the dressing on the side or going light on it. The burger with truffle fries was easily a 9/10, and the beef cheek tacos were just as good--tender, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. One of the best parts is the happy hour offered every day until 6:30 PM, with all "Over the Counter" cocktails for $12 and 50% off food. It's one of the better happy hour deals in Dallas, especially considering the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience. We'll definitely be back.

We were seated and taken care of by our server, who was so sweet and very patient. We ordered drinks. I had to get tea because I was chilly. Outdoor seating at night isn't the greatest because it was very dark, so we stayed inside. The food was exceptional. The herbs they use are picked from their local garden, and the food is incredibly fresh. I ordered the marinated lamb kebabs and Hummus. By the way, their hot tea is fantastic. I highly recommend it but the food was also delicious. The only thing is that the Hummus was very salty but still delicious. The dessert is the best part of the meal. They do change their menu frequently. We hot a chocolate cremeux mousse with chocolate cake - it was soooo good! 10 out of 10! Everything was fantastic and I'll be back!

We came for Sunday lunch and didn't know there there was only a brunch menu available. Thankfully all the food was pretty good! The lamb shakshuka was flavorful and kofta was moist. Eggs Benedict, hummus, bread with butter and jam, and pancakes were all solid as well! Presentation was beautiful. My only disappointment was with the pita bread - I found the bread flat and and a little dry. Service was efficient and nice. It did feel more like a business meeting or brunch type of place - not so much a family place. Thankfully it was pretty empty when we went so our baby didn't have anyone to disturb. Would definitely recommend coming to try!
