CLR Queso

We checked this place out for lunch recently and had a great time. I made a reservation via Resy, so we didn't have a wait for our table. The place is massive with booth seating inside, in the bar area, and on the covered patio. We chose a booth inside. The complimentary chips and salsa were really good. The salsa was fire roasted and served warm. We tried the prickly pear and cantina margaritas and the CLR queso to start. My wife ordered the seared tuna tacos. I tried the protein bowl with steak. Everything was flavorful and the portion sizes were great. Our server was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back to try more menu options soon.

Guacamole and chips. Don't miss out on the salsa very tasty

Very nice upscale Tex-Mex restaurant in Dallas. Very good service, great atmosphere and tasty Tex-Mex cuisine. Full bar with good service so definitely a place to check out.

I love the decor and vibe. This is a cozy intimate dining location in the bar area. Interesting layout as they have a family type dining area and a separate bar area dining for adults only. The outdoor patio is really nice. The patio is covered and surrounded by plants giving it a nice oasis feel. We ate at the bar and the service and attention to customers was wonderful. Special thanks to Daniel whose attention to detail and welcoming attitude was special. Can't wait to try some of the specialty items on the menu next time.

Delicious creamy avocado dip! Served an a molcajete!

Love the atmosphere inside! Great service, Antonio was very friendly and took care of us? My tacos de Barbacoa! Delicious bite, however, FRIJOLES BORRACHOS with CHICHARRÓN (pork skins) my favorite! YUMMERS!

Food was amazing, brunch menu was on point. Staff was lovely and level of service was above and beyond. Definitely recommend ! Shout out to the chef Maria.

The place is mediocre: mediocre Service, plain food, and skimpy drinks. I wouldn't come back.

Better options nearby. Staff seems like they don't want people to visit. Not worth the hassle.

Food was bland, enchiladas were empty. Drinks totally watered down and took 25+ minutes. Service incredibly slow.

The service was excellent, and our server gave us some great recommendations throughout the evening. We tried the I Dream of Kiwi, Only Fans, and the Soft Serve Margarita. The first two were refreshing, fruity, and packed with flavor, while the Soft Serve Margarita was a fun twist on a classic. For food, we had the Caesar salad, beef cheek tacos, and the Apothecary Burger with the truffle fries upgrade. The Caesar was a little too heavy on the dressing for my taste, making it quite fishy, so I'd recommend asking for the dressing on the side or going light on it. The burger with truffle fries was easily a 9/10, and the beef cheek tacos were just as good--tender, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. One of the best parts is the happy hour offered every day until 6:30 PM, with all "Over the Counter" cocktails for $12 and 50% off food. It's one of the better happy hour deals in Dallas, especially considering the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience. We'll definitely be back.

The staff was very inviting and I felt seen and talked to. I ordered: Icelandic hot dog: without happy hour price this would have been 7$. I would not recommend anyone order it at that price but for happy hour half off price, it was more reasonable. Scallop tostada thing: flavors were good. I think full price it was 6 or 8 dollars but for half price it was totally worth it and an interesting bite with food acidity Salmon dip: was gooey and huge and about 17$. I think the pieces of smoked salmon were a little too big for the chip. Pineapple dole whip drink: 12$ happy hour prices. It was Soo yummy and I loved the tajin on top and it was an alcoholic ice cream. Yumm Only fans: also a pretty good drink. Smooth but I would get the pineapple drink again. Overall great experience ,will come back to try some of the other menu items

What a fantastic experience celebrating my partners birthday. I made reservations for a party of 4…read more When we arrived we were greeted with smiles from two hostesses. Upon entering you're met with dim lights, deep burgundy leather seats and images of musicians painted in every corner. The restaurant is absolutely stunning! Our table wasn't quite ready so we were asked to wait at the bar for short while. We started the celebration early by ordering a few drinks and by the time they arrived, our table was ready. We were lead to a large half moon shaped booth nestled in the corner; which was large and plush. Plenty of room for us four and honestly at least two more people. On our table was a place card that said Happy Birthday to my partner which was a nice touch. Our waitress arrived and very pleasant and helpful. She asked if we had questions and gave us some highlights of the menu. We ordered another round along with Meatballs Troubadour, the Heavenly Sourdough and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. The Heavenly Sourdough and Meatballs Troubadour were absolutely the stars of the show! The meatballs were flavorful and juicy. The marinara sauce paired wonderfully with the sourdough. For entrees, Dry-Aged Delmonico, Pomme Puree, Crispy Brussels, Honey Truffle Chicken and Whole Lobster Spaghetti. All the food was divine! To wrap it all up we of course ordered the 24 layer strawberry cake. The cake was bought out with a candle and 4 glasses of bubbly which was a very nice treat. Drake's met all my expectations and more. A huge thank you to the manager stopping by to make sure all was well throughout our meal. And also our waitress for her professionalism, knowledgeable and all around pleasant vibe. Drake's is now on my love list!

We came to Drake's to celebrate a friend's birthday and left extremely disappointed…read more From the moment we were seated, our original server made us feel like he wanted us to order, eat, and leave as quickly as possible. We were told we had to place our entire order at once, and despite our reservation noting that we were celebrating a birthday, he never acknowledged it or even asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. When we mentioned it ourselves, he didn't respond at all. While returning from the restroom (which was also uncomfortably hot and stuffy), I spoke with the manager, Jason, about our experience and asked if we could switch servers. Thankfully, Vlad, who had been serving nearby tables, took over our table. He was a complete turnaround. Vlad was personable, energetic, attentive, and provided the level of hospitality we expected. He truly saved what he could of the experience. Our group spent over $750 on food and drinks. The appetizers and sides were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the entrees didn't live up to the same standard. One steak was overcooked and had to be sent back. By the time the replacement arrived, everyone else had already finished eating. The Salmon Diane was also dry and overcooked. To end the night, while we were waiting for our checks to be processed, Jason came over and told us the next reservation had arrived and that we needed to leave. We explained that we were simply waiting to pay, yet no effort was made to speed up the process by collecting our payment or offering to run the checks. It felt rushed and incredibly inhospitable, especially after everything that had already gone wrong. The only reasons this review isn't one star are Vlad and the excellent appetizers and sides. We've dined at many high-end restaurants, and this was by far one of the most disappointing service experiences we've had, especially for a special celebration. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Like, you can taste the difference. Whatever the cucumber drink was tasted like springtime in Ireland lol. Now let's talk about the vibe because BABY... from the outside, you would NEVER expect what's inside. You walk in and suddenly you're in a full-on 70s-inspired living room. I mean, the velvet-lined hallway and the beaded doorway *should've* been my warning, but nothing prepares you for it There's tons of seating too: comfy couches, chairs, tables, booths, it really feels like you're just hanging out at somebody's very cool house. They've even have a pool table, and right at 8pm an aggressively competitive Uno game breaks out, which was honestly hilarious to watch. This place is such a vibe. Fun, unique, and just different in the best way. 10/10. I'll definitely be back.

The comfy seats, neon lights and unique drinks make for an immaculate vibe. I got the sugar land summer and I really loved the vanilla foam. Thicker and tastier than any foam I've ever had, I want this again. The orange creamsicle part was a little bitter though. I really enjoyed my sweet surrender and would have ubered here instead to have another - the brown butter Bacardi and pecan was great. They cooked and left no crumbs.
