Tonights shrimp taco and side or rice was subpar. Too much sauce. Drowning in sauce. Meh. Side of rice they give so little. Frustrating.

I love this place!!! This isnt your typical tacos stand. Inside is spacious , Nice and clean. They have a room with machines to their own tacos shelves. The corn tortilas are soft The quality of the Salmon !!! Omg... so bomb. Seared on the outside but soft inside, perfectly cooked . You can taste the freshness of the seafood here. Everything tastes authentic and healthful. Would love to come back soon

    Smells so nice

Atmosphere was great, the prices are very good, each day there's a different special. We got a to go order. The blackened chicken taco was delicious. The enchilada a bit dry and tamale, was good. The taste and the heat were excellent on both. My family didn't care for the Horchata even though they said they made it themselves there. What was delicious we both thought was the Mexican wedding cookies. The flan was good too. What was concerning, was having my daughter bite into her carnitas taco, on our drive home, and then telling me from the passenger seat; "There's plastic in it!" I actually pulled off the side of the road and told her that's just lettuce and she says no Dad it's plastic... when we got home we examined it. Yes it's a burnt piece of small plastic. I called up the restaurant three times, it would go to voicemail and they did not pick up. (please see pictures). not sure if I would go back because the situation was very inconsistent, in our freezer there is now an unfinished taco, with a piece of plastic wrap for me to show them (the restaurant ) next time we are driving by. If it wasn't for the Mexican cookies, being so delicious, This would've had a two star review. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

    Honestly great vibes

Oh Mai goodness what a pleasant surprise! I thought this place looked like where you would go to have a wedding reception not some goooood Mexican food but I was proven wrong. I got the carnitas burrito and my partner got the al pastor tacos. They both hit the spot. His had so many flavors and mine was very filling and felt like the perfect comfort food. Add in their red salsa and it became a place I'm still craving days later. The food was so good I forgot to take a picture. They also seem to sell cookies! Might have to try next time. Great service !

Really good high quality ingredients. The flavors are always on point.

    How is the vegan food?

I'm so sorry bur with the exception of the grilled veggies, I have not eaten anything vegan.

    Are the beans vegetarian?

The black beans are vegan but I do not think the other beans are vegetarian.

Is this a sister site to the one in Costa Mesa?

    Yes

    Is there a bar? Beer/margaritas?

There's no bar, and while they do have margaritas, they're made with wine, not tequila; they also serve beer & wine.

Solid spot for tacos!…read more It's right down the street from work, so my coworkers and I stopped by for Taco Tuesday not too long ago. Luckily, we left before the lunch rush, and my expert driver coworker managed to pull off an epic u-turn right in front of the restaurant - snagging a spot literally across the street. But yea - parking here is going to be tough since its the Orange circle (tiny streets, aggressive drivers). Taco Stand looks small from the outside - but it's long and wide once you step inside. Seating is plentiful - but considering that its a popular taco spot, you're going to have trouble finding a spot and might have to eat to-go. There's your usual fixins' of tacos, burritos, fries, chips and dips - and my coworker loves their churros - which comes with condensed milk dipping sauce. I opted for the California burrito - which contains flame-grilled angus steak, cheese, fries, guac, tomatoes, salsa, and sour cream. It was huge! Luckily, I had asked the friendly clerk if she could make sure the kitchen cuts it in half, cuz it was definitely too much for lunch/one person. This was such a good burrito! Good ratio of premium fillings (meat, guac) to the filler stuff like fries and tomatoes. The steak was well seasoned - and had that fresh/just cooked tenderness to it - rather than steak that's been sitting out for awhile. My coworkers got all sorts of other stuff - including the fresh churros. There's a well-stocked fresh salsa bar - I just stuck to my usual mild / "boring" sauces - but the creamy thousand island dressing looking sauce was moderately spicy and bearable. Service was prompt and efficient. We managed to snag a table right before the place started filling out - there was a line out the door by the time my group left. I like that the tables have these built-in cupholders on the side - so they don't take up premium tabletop space. Overall, a solid spot for tacos - if you don't mind dealing with the tight traffic and parking mess around the Orange Circle. I don't see myself coming back here unless its with other people, since I'd be too claustrophobic driving in these tight corridors.

I just call it food cause that's what I eat for breakfast lunch and dinner so when I'm telling you that this place has some really good food trust me you want to come out and try it. Everything they have on the menu is bomb as fuck. Their drinks are bomb. The service is bomb. That's the reason I keep coming back all the way from the inland Empire to Orange to eat their food this is one of my favorite spots to come and join the rest of my family. Probably better for a nighttime gathering, but kind of threw off our brunch talking session. This is definitely a personal preference, but prepare to be extremely overstimulated. The place is absolutely gorgeous! Kudos to whoever did the interior decorating because everything is visibly pleasing. Even the presentation of drinks and food were great and "instagram-worthy". My friends and I did bottomless mimosas for $35 which is a fair price, but the rest of the menu was ridiculously overpriced. $15 Base for chilaquiles but it's a minimum of $7 to add protein (a very minuscule amount) AND an extra $4 just to add eggs?? Regular drinks were extremely tax as my friend's latte horchata was $12 and it was not good at all. The food was not bad, but the upcharging and skimpy portions definitely put this place on my "no" list. HOWEVER, if they just make minor tweaks with the volume, pricing, and food quantity it definitely could be a great place to go! The staff is friendly and the vibes are right, there just needs to be some changes for me personally.

The carnitas looks and tastes DIFFERENT - I knew after only one bite. My asada torta was not what I'm used to. The beans are different in my torta (whole?). The carrots are different and lack flavor. If they changed ownership then that would explain a lot. The chips are still good - nice and thin, oily, and crunchy. The salsa still has that perfect heat but bigger pieces of white onion. The old murals on the walls from yesteryear are painted over and long gone, but so is the flavor. Convince me!
