It definitely stands out from your average restaurant experience. So much nostalgia! Seeing the Sinclair dinosaur brought back some child hood memories of when people traveled around more in cars. Good times. Food wise I was enjoying the selection they have. My friend decided to try the "Axe". Some mammothly huge 5lb burrito. I went with the chicken flautas which tastes just great. I would say 3.5 stars. I love the concept of taco station being an old gas station. They have a big outside eating area which is nice. It wasn't too busy when we went. I got a soft beef taco and a hard shell beef taco with cheese. They came out pretty quickly. Everything was reasonably priced. However, I asked for cheese and no onions and my soft taco came out with no cheese and onions. It was still good, but I picked the onions off. The hard shell taco had cheese like I asked for and that was so good! Overall, their tacos are good. Fast service. The staff is friendly. Reasonably priced. I might be back again. read more

We have been coming here regularly since moving here 6 years ago. Always raving and bragging how good the food is. We always bring out of town guests here. What has happened??? We ordered taquitos a la carde and a fish taco. OMG! My husband thought I ordered the child's taquitos they were so small and no flavor. The taquitos used to be big and meaty. It had a tablespoon of guacamole that was too chunky and no flavor. The fish taco the fish was cold and mushy unlike previously crispy and hot. I don't know what's going on but it'll be a while before we go back. Whatever they've changed they should go back to the way it was, we are willing to pay more for good quality food. read more

Awful experienced. Waited for my food for over an hr because they had lost my ticket. After 45 min I notified them that I was still waiting for my food and they said it was coming. Asked again 15 min later and they did not have ticket. I had to provide my receipt so they could make my order and I was missing items in my order. Just total jerks and awful attitude. I asked for my missing items that I had paid for and they had an attitude about it. Avoid if possible. No respect for customer. read more

This place was not great. I ordered a bean, rice, and asada burrito, but the burrito I received was cheese, beans, and asada. I ordered asada, carnitas, and al pastor tacos, all of which were VERY bland. One of the carnitas tacos also had a bone in it, which is NOT GREAT, but it wasn't that bad because I saw it before I ate the tacos and was able to remove it. Now, keep in mind this was Cinco de Mayo, on taco Tuesday, during Covid-19. It's very possible the lackluster experience was due to these factors, but the best restaurants still keep quality when things are crazy. I ordered over the phone and my order was ready on time. I will try again when the world calms down and see if the experience is better. read more

My husband and I love coming here for lunch. They have great wet (red sauce) burrito's, Carnitas and Carne Asada are our favorite! Love the salsa bar too! The guacamole salsa is the best! We are happy that during Covid-19 we can still enjoy dining on the patio. Manager is very warm and welcoming and so is the staff. Service is quick which is nice since i'm usually here on an hour lunch break. The theme here looks like an old vintage gas station which adds to the atmosphere. Awesome place. Me and my man checked it out for the first time tonight and thought it was neat. The decor is fun, the customer service is great. As soon as we got there a nice man that worked there opened the door for us with a smile, the server was sweet and helped my indecisive boyfriend pick a delicious meal (gorditas), once we put our order in we checked out the salsa bar, not even a minute later and our food was ready! However any time I I ever go back I will 100% load up on their Fish Tacos. Sooo good!!! My taco addiction currently cost more than a drug addiction. The people here are fast and friendly. The only thing is that charge 3 percent to use your card but that's fine it's totally worth!! My favorite is the carne asada and the green salsa. Came for Taco Tuesday and the place was very dirty, the tables were not cleaned, the salsa bar was a mess, the drinks area was filthy and got the idea the new staff was not very well trained. My experience with taco station today was highly upsetting! I've been here about 2 times before and gotten very good tasty burritos. This time around was much different though. I ordered on the phone and picked up my burrito i came home excited to eat it and when I took the first bite I realized it was nothing but rice the ratio of rice was approximately 3 to 1. I hate to be that person but I had to call I couldn't let 9 dollars on a burrito go to waste. I've never been and a woman I was speaking with today suggested I try taco station. I went after work. The service was quick. Courteous but not necessarily friendly. I ordered three tacos shredded beef chicken and potato. The potato was the best. The meat on the chicken taco and the meat on the beef taco were dry and didn't really have a lot of flavor . I would definitely give them another try but I'd probably stay away from the shredded beef and the chicken. read more

Took my first trip to the Taco Station this week. I opted for the Mission Ave location over the Canyon Crest location, even though it's 10x closer to my house because of the reviews. I was quite pleased with the service, decor and the food. I got the carnitas burrito with everything. I thought it was great and huge, except about 1/2 way through it wanted to start falling apart, not a big deal. I ended up trying all their hot sauces. The "100" was just too watery with no flavor and just heat. The "90" was like some super sludge pepper mix. I ended up mixing the "87" and "90" hot sauces for the perfect combo of heat and flavor. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat, the reason for the 4 stars and not 5 was because of the loose wrap that ended up being a nuisance near the end of my burrito. Long time residents may remember this used to be a small Texaco gas station, now it's Taco Station. This would explain the gas station decor. I had two carne asada tacos $2.19 plus tax. They messed up my order and gave me a gratis combo plate. Thus I had rice, beans and chips as well. The beans and rice were very good for restaurant food which is never as good as home. The choice of salsa from the bar is nice. 91 octane is too hot for me, but the 87 is nice. All in all, a good place to go. read more

Simple and delicious. I got one of each of these tacos: carne asada, chicken and fish. My favorite was the fish because it was so delicious with lime and green cilantro salsa. The nachos were ok, I wouldn't get them again only because the cheese was that typical liquid nacho cheese instead of real authentic cheese.
