DO NOT FREQUENT THIS ESTABLISHMENT UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR FUNDS STOLEN ! SCAM ALERT ! LOOK AT YOUR BILL CAREFULLY. This brand new Chappaqua "restaurant" has managed to mis-charge/steal over $50 from my 16-year old child's credit card without her knowing, secretly somehow adding an additional $50 of quesadillas onto her bill. She is a teenager who does not pay attention to a bill. It now appears that they intentionally stole from her since they are evading us. The cashier will not put my calls through to the "owner" and/or manager claiming they are "not in". The "owner" remains elusive and refuses to return any calls despite repeated attempts. This is now been over one week of calls and visits. I am forced to seeking the assistance of the New Castle Police Dept for aid. DO NOT DINE HERE! read more

So disappointed: you can't prep food with your back door wide open...clear health code violation. Was so excited to have this new restaurant, but $8.00 for a few chips and 1/4C of guacamole is unbelievable. Tacos, 3 different types we tried, all tasted the same and were all flavorless. Please strive for a better price value and meet the needs of a starving local community in need of casual restaurant diversity. Would love too support local businesses, but remember you aren't in a trendy LES neighborhood. Omg! FINALLY after 4 years of living here coming from the county boarding Mexico I have found the tacos I have been searching for ! They have an Al Pastor wheel they chop a fresh Jalapeño up to make your fresh spicy margarita, they knew what a michelada was without having to explain it to them. Their food is amazingly fresh and comes out fast! A lot of places that have decent tacos out here are hole in the walls but this place is classy, clean, DELICIOUS and so affordable. This is my spot now. 30 min drive but who cares it's worth it. If you just try it once, you def will keep coming back. read more

I'll do the good stuff first. The service was excellent. The drinks were also superb. Spicy margs and their lemonade. Definitely recommend either of those. The restaurant, itself, looks really neat. Good atmosphere, clean inside. So, then the bad. Just go for drinks and good company, because I, nor my friends, were a fan of the food. I came with 3 other people. We had A plate of chicken nachos: it tasted like paper and cheese. I give kudos for making chips in house, but they aren't very good. The salsa was seriously lacking flavor. The chicken tasted like boiled chicken. Not repulsive or anything that bad, just no taste. Not worth the price, for sure. One friend had 3 tacos, which are far overpriced. The steak one was the only one with flavor. They were so runny, she had trouble eating them. Also, she ate some of my nachos because she was still hungry. You really don't get much for $4 or $5 a piece. The other 2 friends got burritos. They are good in size, but again, no flavor. And we've all been covid tested, so that isn't the reason for lack of taste. I don't live here, but if in the area again, I'll probably check out other places. read more

Topping to all the tacos were plain - onion, salsa, cilantro (and slaw for fish tacos). not bad, but not good enough to return for seconds. asked for hot sauce several times in the order and did not receive. cheese in the Chile Rellenos was still hard, in cubed shape, wasn't even melted. plantains were good. read more

I used to love this place. In fact - I have recommended it to so many people. But I have to say the food doesn't taste good when the "manager" has terrible customer service and is just plain rude. I'm from the restaurant industry and while times are tough you shouldn't be terrible to your customers....or you won't have them. Great food, and beautiful restuarant. Prices are high for tacos. $4 for one small taco, $25 for 6. However, the food is very delicious. Taco street is a high end restuarant, and not a taco stand dive. The staff needs better training to take card orders over the phone, but they make up for it by being very friendly. My order is prepared incorrectly every time I order in person for takeout, but they always ask if that's ok before I walk away with it. Need better attention to order taking and accuracy. Food is top quality, and decor of dining area is very cool, and staff is friendly. read more

I literally just downloaded Yelp and created an account to do this review. I'm not one to care to voice my opinion like this- however. $17.25 for a burrito and 1 taco. That alone is a turnoff. I was shocked but it is chappaqua. Simple lunch. Took mine to go bc people still actually work for a living- staff was nice. Cashier was nice no worries there. But the food was not, it left a lot to be desired. The $5 fancy taco was a flaccid grease soaked tortilla. Like the 2 bite size tortilla. Such a shame. The $12 burrito was hardly that- 1 bite and it just all came fumbling out. Not rolled up at all- I spilled at least $3 worth of food onto the ground. Embarrassing. Honestly I'll never go back. There's 0 reason to. It's kind of hard to mess up tacos yet somehow they were successful. Good luck holding down that New Castle crowd. Food is unbelievable! So delicious & fresh. We order from them once per week either pick up in store or delivery. The owner is friendly and you can tell he takes pride in his establishment. We loved the rainbow flag out front which caught my eye as I drove by in June. So glad we tried Taco Street. read more

Giving this 5 stars because it has potential and I am hoping they will read this and take the advise of someone who eats a lot of Mexican. First off. The chips and salsa, please stop charging for that $6 if I recall. Just cut it out its just wrong. You do not do that in a Mexican establishment it's bad biz. Its like a Chinese restaurant charging for white rice. Just gonna piss people off. The tiny guac for $7. Stop with that nonsense too. A lot of this the other reviewer wrote. The tacos...very small and very plain. Jazz them up a bit. Scallions, cheese, onions, cilantro cmon step it up, its not hard. I cant see someone picking up or doing delivery the way they have it now. Its more like your walking thru town and its there so I'll grab a bite. If you are hungry plan on getting 4 tacos a drink and chips and salsa x 2 and maybe tiny guac and you just dropped $50. Anyway hopefully they can step it up. Go to La Paloma try tacos al pastor, see how they make them and try to take those Taco up a notch. Good luck and hope you do well. First time trying this place for lunch as I had never seen it before and wanted to give it a try as it looked nice from the outside. Ordered a chicken burrito without guacamole (personal preference) and when I got my food (much later than everyone else I was with) I noticed it had guacamole, but ate it anyways because I was already waiting and everyone had gotten their food. FYI, we were the only ones in here plus another table that already had finished eating. When we got up to pay the check I noticed that all of the kitchen workers were on their cell phones with their gloves on. They had noticed I was watching them, and still continued to do so. That afternoon I got a horrible stomach ache that lasted me until the next day. Had to be from the food as it was the only thing I ate that day. Thought I would give everyone the heads up! read more

What a nice treat on a Saturday afternoon. Great flavor and quality. Had a sampling of tacos, burrito, guac, corn and margaritas. Loved that the margaritas weren't overly sweet. The meats were so tasty. They also have great sauces and serve their meals with fresh lime. Will be back for dinner and can add another restaurant to my take out roster. read more

Taco Steet is absolutely amazing, I wish there was a 10 star option. Every aspect of what a great Mexican restaurant should be and is executed perfectly. It is conveniently located in downtown Chappaqua adjacent to the train station. Their fresh, flavorful tacos are to die for. Full of authentic, fresh ingredients and perfectly portioned. The guacamole, salsa and chips was placed on the table and was impossible to resist because of how perfectly prepared. I can't wait for the warmer weather to come, the front has a huge roll up door that can fully open up the entrance to the outside, I'm sure it will be a great place to have a drink and relax after getting of the train as well. They also serve breakfast burritos and coffee all day! I don't post regularly and usually do so only when a spot is disappointing or really good.
