There are plenty or better Mexican places within a half mile. Really disappointed. Came in for the $1 fish tacos on Wednesday, and they were some of the worst fish tacos I have tasted. I know places with much better fish tacos for $1. I also ordered a quesadilla, the jack cheese tasted like it was made of plastic. I should have known when we walked in here at 7:00, and there was only one other customer sleeping in a booth, that I should have bounced. read more

Food is great for a bad location because it would do so much better near other businesses only complaint is that they are a tad pricey compared to other Mexican spots nearby ... another plus though is that they won't complain or make a rude face if you ask for sauces I know I care about that because many places will make a fuss or unnecessary gestures over sauces read more

This is a little divey Mexican food place that has been here for a while. Al Pastor is my favorite, but this did nothing for me. It was too sweet or something. I actually couldn't even tell I was eating pastor. The tacos are the small tacos using the 4" corn tortillas. The tortilla chips are pretty average. I could mistake them for supermarket chips from a bag. Beans are average. Some people really love this place. I'm not one of them. They do sell that nopales powder though which is supposed to be good for you. read more

This is probably the best taco and authentic Mexican food place ever in my neighborhood, they are so good. Can't believe it they even have Tripas taco ^^. Pazole, the beef stew is the most tender beef soup that I've ever had in my life. read more

Best Al Pastor Burritos in town. Also the Huaraches and tacos de papa are so good. Great food and now they accept credit cards/debit cards.

My husband And I just tried Taco Tapatio and we really liked the tacos. We tried Tripa, al pastor, and carnitas. He also had an Asada burrito. Ordered 4 carne Asada tacos with guac. Once I got home they only gave me one of the tacos and that taco had NO guac. I can understand forgetting to put guac on the tacos but forgetting 75% of my ordered is absolutely ridiculous! And on top of that the food was subpar at best and that's being nice. Came here to get a bean and chicken burrito because I was in a hurry. Waited about 15 minutes which kind of shocked me because the place was pretty dead. Paid $1 for avocado and I couldn't find more than a tablespoon inside. The burrito was tasty but definitely bean heavy. A bit forgettable. read more

The kitchen is open to full few and this stainless steel kitchen is always clean and well maintained. Inquiring with sources known only to me within Taco Tapatio's corporate structure, I was informed the visiting state inspector lady was simply dripping with attitude. T.T. got dinged for the most minor and obscure infractions. I was shown where T.T. was dinged by the state and could not believe it myself. There is yet one more star Taco Tapatio can and should aspire to. It is time for T.T. to upgrade their seating furniture which has for the most part outlived its usefulness. I remember going to this place back in early 90's when they were near by drive-in theater, next to the gas station(where APU's science building is) . That's when it was on top of their game. Now? Not so sure. I've been a faithful customer there for past 20 years and after moving to the new place, their quality has been gradually going down. Whenever I'm home on leave, I take a walk to the new place and try it out but the outcome is always the same... just average. What have you done to yourself!!!!!! I remember getting a carne asada burrito back in the day and just be devouring it after dousing it with tapatio hotsauce..... now? no hot sauce can heal this heart of mine... after you have broken it into million pieces.... but I shall not give up hope! Hopefully one day, my wish will come true and I shall taste the burrito that I've tasted 20 years ago... But I have to admit, your shrimp cocktail was pretty good last time I tried it. read more

The only good thing here are fish tacos. I ordered two al pastor tacos and the tortilla was way too hard .. don't recommend it here
