Stopped in here with a friend for lunch. This place has been here for awhile and I've driven past it a thousand times. They were busy with customers eating in and carrying out. Service was fast and friendly. They start you off with chips and salsa. I ordered the baby burrito special. The baby burrito was huge. It comes with beans and rice. Good value for the price. Everything was good but none of it blew me away. If you are in the area it's worth a stop but not a destination spot for me. I'm on the fence at 3 or 3.5 stars. read more

Our go to place. I think that the sauces make the meal and they are the best sauces I have ever had. The red is Smokey with just the right heat. The green has that great tomatillo flavor that rocks. When we order steak, I always get the fajita meat instead of the regular steak, a game changer. Never had a bad meal from there and they are always so accommodating. Have not been here in a few years after moving but have been able to eat here twice the last few weeks. Food hasn't changed and that is a GREAT thing. They have updated the floor and equipment and it looks great. Had $1 tacos on Tuesday and they were fantastic. Only thing better was our waitress, she was friendly and awesome. The person at the register was incredibly nice and helpful and, although it was relatively busy with quite a few dine-in patrons, my food came out in less than ten minutes. A LITTLE HISTORY: I've lived in the Lombard area for the better part of 20 years, but I'd say approx 14 yrs ago Los Burritos opened their doors for the first time. Prior to their opening, I watched 5 other companies attempt success in that very same location, each of them meeting failure instead. If my memory serves me correctly, it was 3 different Hot-Dog joints, 1 Gyro place and the last one was a little Pancake House. I think the longest any of those places kept afloat for was maybe 6 months...after that, doors were closed just like the previous predecessor. Los Burrito's was the first little business that I've personally seen move into that cursed location and actually flourish as a brilliant Mexican Diner and it's been there ever since. The place is clean, the service is friendly and the prices are pretty average. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing that makes it really stand-out from your typical burrito joint as far as atmosphere is concerned...but the food on the other hand is GREAT and about as authentic as you'll find it in the burbs. The burritos are BIG and proportionate, the Horchata is insanely good and recently they added Elote in the cup to the menu. As far as Mexican food goes...I highly recommend this place. ON A FINAL NOTE...I've seen a few individuals cry foul, saying that Los Burrito's food might've made them sick. Now I don't know about them, or their intentions, but I can say this: I've been eating there as a regular since they've opened...so we're talking about almost 15 years, and I'd say on average I order from there at least 8 times a month...AND NOT ONCE have I ever gotten sick off the food from this place. Ordered from Door Dash and the food was delicious, flavorful, and meat was tender. Got the tripas tacos, lengua tacos, and tamale. Texture of meat was juicy and the corn tortilla was soft. My son and I got terrible food poisoning here as did my son's friend. On January 27 my son and his friend ordered steak burritos. My son ate half and brought the rest home. The next day I took two bites, thought it tasted terrible (like old lard), and threw it out. The following day I came down with horrible stomach cramps that were worse than labor pains and diarrhea that soon turned bloody. (Sorry this is graphic) For two days this went on until I went to the doctor who had me go directly to the ER. At they ER they did blood tests and a cat scan which revealed that the food poisoning caused a massive infection in my intestines and infected my kidneys. I was put on two different antibiotics for a week. It's been two weeks now and I still have terrible diarrhea and have to go back to see another specialist. Insurance covers part of my bill but I'm still out over $500 in medical expenses and missed a week of work. My son started throwing up the day I got sick and threw up for two days straight and had diarrhea for an entire week. He missed a week of school. His friend had the same exact reaction as he did. I relayed this story to a neighbor who said that she stopped eating there after she saw them clearing the tables and putting the tortilla chips left by customers back into the bag and the used salsa bowls back into the jar. I obviously will never eat here again and advise anyone who doesn't want to suffer the same fate to avoid the place as well. read more

We live in the area and we have a few choices for Mexican food but this place never disappoints. My husband likes the Beef Enchiladas in red sauce meal. I usually get 2 steak tacos and a corn in the cup but tonight I ordered the Chicken Flautas meal and wow, it was so delish! The flautas were not soggy, they were crunchy and the refried beans must have been revamped because I usually don't finish them because of lack of flavor but tonight they tasted great with lots of flavor. Los Burritos is a staple in my family's dining experience because everyone need a place that can be counted on for good food, fine service, and decent prices. It's that "go-to place" that most people need in their dining out strategy when you're running late or when there's nothing in the house to cook. Los Burritos (locals sometimes call it just "Los") has been around for years and is a quality family-run establishment. I started my dining experience with them since week 1 of their opening and I haven't been disappointed. Pretty much anything on the menu is good. There isn't a high degree of spiciness to the food but you can always add the salsa/sauce to take it up a notch. I have been a fan of the chicken flautas, tamales, enchiladas verdes, and (amazingly) the veggie burrito (which comes with avocado at this location but you have to inexplicably order it special at the North Ave. location). I must have been here over a hundred times in the years past and I can count on one hand the number of times my order wasn't right. They have it down. Yum! Well tonight I ordered the steak baby burrito I think they used my burrito to clean greasy grill. I've never seen anything like it. I opened it up and I almost dropped it. I could smell the grease. I've been eating here for a good ten to eleven years now. My fiancé and his family have eaten here even longer (and have even went as far as to hire them to cater various events) and we're all still alive to tell the tale. The food is always fresh, the service is fast and friendly and the prices are dirt cheap considering the sheer amount of food they give you. The Mexican Restaurant (there's no other as far as we're concerned) is our go-to restaurant for quick, inexpensive, tasty food with great service. Service is always friendly and, even during their busiest times, the food arrives hot at the table in minutes. Rosie, the server we most frequently get, greets us with a smile and our drinks already in hand before we order. That's service!
