    Molcajete's Menu

Anytime I see a new small business come into town, I always make it a habit to visit and see what they have to offer...especially if it's Mexican food lol So I've picked up from Molcajete's atleast 3 times already and I was somewhat disappointed by what I found. Now don't get me wrong, this is definitely NOT a bad place to eat. The people who run it are very friendly and the service is exceptional. But I just couldn't find any type of "Wow" factor when it came down to the food or it's menu. The tacos are kinda mediocre (and small). The meat, a little dry (especially the al pastor) and everything seemed to be seasoned all the same because all their meats tasted similar. The steak, the pastor and the barbacoa all tasted fairly identical and they shouldn't. Now their tamales on the other hand, we're very excellent. A lot of places around here make their homemade tamales too thick...their nothing but all masa. But Molcajete's tamales on the other hand were a bit more slender and packed proportionately, 50/50 half masa, half carne. Definitely get the Rojo (the pork tamale). Molcajete is a very small establishment. If you so much as blink when driving by it, you could miss it. They don't have a lot of space inside their business but they utilize what little space they have to seat a few patrons and they keep the place really clean. Overall, it's not the best Mexican spot in town but if you're looking for an alternative from what you've been having, it's not a bad place to visit.

Any of their food that I have had is wonderful. But, they spiked their prices about 30%. I can't swallow that. Sorry, folks.

Most amazing breakfast burritos (with al pastor)! I eat them more than I care to admit. So cravable. Service is great.

Their menu often changes but consistently includes pretzel bites, wings, salad, burgers, sandwiches (and a banh mi), and big plates. Pork Lumpia $14 - Tasty filling and beautifully wrapped. Pork Adobo Bowl $22 - Good flavors and variety in this bowl. I was sad to have missed the ube flavored beer, but the strawberry whip I tried was interesting. They have their own parking lot which can get packed at peak times. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2026

We chose to sit in their outdoor area because the weather was beautiful. For this visit, I've tried: Armadillo eggs- I like the crunch of the crumbs, the flavors were good, but the filling was too heavy Kalbi Short Rib bowl- this was my daughter's dish. it was just ok The Nuremburger- this was the burger of the month (September). It was delicious; the fries were great as well The Smoky Ghost- if you like spice, this is the burger for you. I tried one of the Seltzer; it was okay. My daughter ordered the Raspberry Lime Cola; it was good, although it was a little too sweet for me. Service was friendly and prompt. Our server was very attentive and efficient. The indoor dining area was super loud, so we made a great choice by sitting outside. I wish they had more options for Filipino dishes. I only saw the lumpia appetizer and the beef sisig entree. Maybe next time?

They served the rare steak on a small plate so you can add to the hot broth yourself and it won't be overcooked. There were lots of noodles and meat. The broth was very delicious and not overly salty. Very large portions. Was only able to eat half and take the other half home. The waiter was nice to pack it up for me and had separated the broth from the noodles and meat. Had also ordered the Bahn mi House special sandwiches to go. I tasted more of the mayo than the pate. I like pate more so maybe next time I can ask for more pate and remove the mayo. For me it seemed there was more toppings than meat. I do like how the bread is cut from the top, so the food didn't spill out from the side. They have a large selection of Pho and Noodle bowls. Would definitely need to come back to try their Bun Bo Hue or Dirty Pho.

Unfortunately, that server came across as rude and was noticeably rolling his eyes while my family was taking their time placing their order. It made that part of the experience unpleasant and definitely stood out compared to how friendly the rest of the staff was. Aside from that interaction, we really enjoyed the food and felt the portions and quality were a great value for the price.

I ordered the turkey burger at True Food Kitchen and when I tell you I heard the angels SINGING?! Baby, that first bite made me stop chewing just so I could properly process what was happening. The FLAVORS?! Whew! They were flavoring! I did a little dance in my seat. A tear almost formed in my eye. I looked at that burger like, "Now why would you come into my life and show out like this?!" Let me be clear: I don't normally get this emotionally attached to a turkey burger. Turkey burgers are usually just meat and bread however THIS ONE?! This was an EXPERIENCE. A testimony. A blessing between two buns. Seasoned perfectly. Juicy. Flavorful. Absolutely DELICIOUS. While typing this, i just learned that Adam made my burger today and he deserves a raise, a parking spot close to the door, and possibly his name on the building. 30 out of 10. I WILL be back and yes... I'm ordering the turkey burger again because I need to know if what happened between us today was REAL. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!!

I most recently had their skinny margarita and Korean glass noodle bowl. While I totally appreciate the minimizing of oils, salt, soy sauce, etc. this dish tasted like nothing to me. Almost like I had long covid and a loss of taste. The skinny margarita also tasted off - like there was orange juice instead of traditional margarita mix. I did try the seasonal sourdough pita with eggplant dip and that was really good. But some of my favorites are longer on the menu for example, the harissa cauliflower and chicken pizza. Service and ambiance are great. I'll definitely be back in the future but it has fallen off the pedestal a bit for me.
