Our VRBO host recommended this local Mexican place downtown Columbia Falls…read more Chips, perfect crunch and thin, salsa had good flavor, but a bit watery. The enchilada tricolor plate is ginormous and DEFINITELY can be shared. The pork enchilada with verde sauce was my favorite but I also enjoyed the shredded chicken with mole well. The cheesy enchilada was simply way too cheesy, could've passed. I will say the Spanish rice is probably the best rice I've ever had. Refried beans were lovely. My partner got the steak fajitas quesadilla and it was soooo good also. Large portion of guacamole came with it. Huckleberry margarita was quite sweet, but my Tajin rim definitely helped balance that out. Ambience was lovely! -1 star for service, unfortunately. It took quite some time for our server to greet us, never brought water, and wasn't attentive.

Vaqueros was a quick location search for restaurant near our Airbnb and we were in for a surprise…read more Food, service and ambience were great. Pollo crema was smooth, well prepared and lip smacking good. The Expresso burrito was delicious, red sauce on top was okay. I really liked the Horchata- refreshing flavour, tried it for the first time. Mexican coffee was nice. Portion size are massive. Dedicated parking spots for restaurants, it's a huge parking lot. Best Mexican food I have had by far! If you are in or near Glacier National park do not miss on Vaqueros at Columbia Falls.

Cash only I came…read morehere for dinner after I had just hiked 17 miles at Glacier National Park so you can bet I was slightly hungry. This place is a food truck right outside of the park that has some outdoor shaded seating. I ordered the fajita burrito with carne asada ($13.50) and like others have mentioned the burrito was huge! I liked the fajita peppers in the burrito along with the good carne asada meat. I don't know if it was because I was starving but I ate and finished the burrito faster than I ever have in my life. It's not going to be the best Mexican food ever but for a touristy spot and for its proximity to the park it's a good option if you want to get away from the typical burgers and American fare. For me it hit the spot for sure and gave me the energy to go back into the park to go on more hikes that day.

We are from Texas, we have some really good Mexican restaurants, so hard to beat what we have locally, but this was good. Prices are a little high, but it's a tourist spot. The burritos were about $15, quesadillas about $15 and tacos $5 each. I think the quesadillas are a little high priced, especially since my kids wanted cheese and meat only. Maybe they should offer a kid version of tacos and quesadillas. The main reason I gave 3 stars instead of 4- two out of the five of us got incorrect orders. My kiddo asked for tacos with just meat, cheese, onions and lettuce- they came with tomatoes and cilantro. Cilantro especially is something that people either like or they hate. He asked for them to change it, and they gladly remade. But then I started eating my burrito - I had ordered with no olives because I absolutely hate olives- and it was full of olives. At that point, I did not want to go ask for another remake. It's just uncomfortable. I imagine they would have made it again, but I don't feel like that burden should be on the customer. A restaurant can always state that there are no changes or substitutions, but the person taking our order asked us if we were good with all the veggies that came on the burrito. So it seems they are used to people asking for them to remove things. That was disappointing that I had to pick through my food. So I hope the try harder on there details- otherwise would have give 4 or more stars.

This is a very special place. So special that I am actually writing a review which I rarely do…read more My wife and I were greeted at the door by a tall kids gentlemen opening the door and sitting us instantly. We had a tall sweet woman as our server who seemed was part of the family that owned the restaurant. You can tell they took pride in the restaurant, they cared, and it showed in the food and service. I was instantly drawn to the chili puerco which was a sort of special. Couldn't recommend enough. I was either ravenous from the hike but either way was one of the best Mexican dishes I've ever had and I eat a lot of authentic Mexican. I couldn't stop ranting and raving about how much I loved the meal and our sever took it with a smile and wished us a good rest of our trip as well as said to come back if we're ever back in town. I hope to come back as my family grows and bring them here. I hope my review will help in someway to spread the word about how great it was.

The price is pretty ridiculous, even for a "tourist" area. They charge for everything, even for splitting food with your partner. The attitude was okay, not rude but not friendly either.
