    Pollo Limon (Cuban Lemon Chicken)
    Alan C.

Wow, the Pollo Limon is such a well balanced meal. As soon as it was served I knew it was going to be good. Absolutely perfectly cooked chicken. Lightly crunched skin - meat was tender and juicy. A side of rice, beans, sweet plantains and even a small salad. The lemon sauce that the chicken was served on was a slightly tart lemon sauce that looked like it was cooked with onions and garlic. Clean, hearty, and savory at the same time. The perfect meal after a long day's hike @ Glacier. My wife got beef quesadillas, they weren't bad, but she ended up eating off my plate! Coming from Houston I've had similar dishes before, but to my surprise Whitefish Pollo Limon blows the Cuban food I've ever had in Houston out of the water. Definitely get Pollo Limon!

I'm a little puzzled by the lukewarm reviews of Mama Blancas. Hubby and I walked in on a Sunday evening and enjoyed a hearty and tasty meal provided with friendly service. The restaurant space is large and looks very kid-friendly. They have a children's menu and we saw many families dining in. There is a parlor in the back with billiards and other games. We were seated with no wait, and our server made good recommendations on drinks and food. The guacamole exceeded our expectations and the margarita decent. Hubs got the street tacos with 3 different proteins to sample, and I got Mama's burrito in a bowl with sauces. We both agree the barbacoa was delicious and the best of the proteins we tasted. We'd absolutely be back the next time we're in Whitefish.

Fish tacos featuring grilled mahi mahi should be good. This place proved me wrong. I'll question whether the fish was mahi mahi but, more importantly, the fish was bland and seemed warmed not grilled. The choice of adding coconut and mango to very dry tacos only made them taste even worse. Honestly, this was no better than assembly-line menu food at your typical taco chain. The ceviche, while better, was a small portion surrounded by what seemed like an entire grocery store bag quantity of nachos. At least the Negro Modelo was dependably good.

We went here for lunch on Saturday it was a pretty good. The servers were excellent and very friendly. We order chicken tacos, shrimp lettuce wrap tacos, and a taco salad. The tacos were great and had a lot of chicken and shrimp in them. I enjoyed the sauce that was on the tacos. The taco salad was great and was loaded with toppings. Overall, the food was solid and the services was great.

"Pisco sour" but it's sweet, you can't taste the pisco at all and I'm not sure what happened with the egg whites but :/ would not recommend

Visiting from out of town, but thoroughly unimpressed. Wait time: told we would get a phone call when table was ready in 20 minutes, we went back in after 35 minutes at 4:30 and were seated in a virtually empty restaurant (two tables were full, both already had food or ordered.) then we waited another 10 minutes for the waitress. Seems they were understaffed on Sunday afternoon (more front house showed up around 5) Drinks: no. I ordered a pisco sour which was not strained and had a weak dabble of egg white on top. You couldn't taste any pisco, no bitters. And I should have read that they sugar the rim. Food: I was excited for chimichurri and vastly disappointed to get a vinegary onion based topping with little to no parsley/cilantro on top of an over cooked steak. Rice was just plain white rice, beans were undercooked and hard. Tostones were cooked really well but, again, no seasoning. And the salad was topped with... maybe some oil? I ate because I'd been hiking all day and finally sat down to a meal but man.... THEN THEY CHARGED ME $4 OVER MENU PRICE and didn't even offer to honor the menu price when I asked. (Website still shows $20, menu shows $20, they charged $24) waitress said they just updated the menu and she'd let her manager know. She went and checked the menu, took it to her manager, and didn't bother coming back or knocking the price back to what was published. :/ My dinner partner had tacos-- her review? Carne asada had no flavor and the tortillas weren't toasted (one was three tortillas thick?) Not much to say. Just okay. Bathroom: really gross, one stall out of order, one plugged, and the other two had TP on the floor/toilet seat. Both hand dryers broken and rolls of paper towel sitting on wet sink. It does look like they have some fun games in the back bar but I don't think I could stomach any more "cocktails".

So good! The chips and salsa were very good. No watered down salsa here, but it did need a little salt. Both the mojo pork & carne asada street tacos were delicious. Highly recommend. You can even get them as delicate little lettuce wraps - beautiful & tasty! If you're really hungry, get the mamma burrito. It's about the size of a football, and full of flavor. If you really want to go nuts, get it smothered in ranchero and verde sauces, and add the rice, beans and salad. You're definitely going to need stretchy pants, and probably a nap after that meal, but it's delicious!

Worst customer service experience ever. I've actually never felt more compelled to write a review. We came in to this spot trying to get a few margaritas before the big sky concert and we were served 1942. Is it just me? Or does everyone not know you have to ask for 1942. We asked for a Do. Julio margarita and we're charged for a full bottle of 1942. Who puts 1942 in a margarita? After arguing with the owner/manager we were presented with $300 bill for 6 margaritas and that was rude! Our waiter however, was so sweet and kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would like to note that the bartender here should be fired and they should never sit anyone in the kitchen during this summer heat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lastly, every drink we ordered took 30 minutes so take your chances y'all.

    Chicken quesadillas

Had dinner here and while the food had a great flavor and generous portions the service was just terrible. Our server walked by our table 5 times that we counted and never checked on us (or looked at us) before we went up to the counter to ask for more water. We ordered margaritas, an appetizer and entrees. Put in all the orders at one time and never saw her again until the food came. Afterwards, we had to go up to the service bar to ask for water and for the check. They did have one large party seated and another that came in while we were there, but we felt like our table of 2 took a backseat to the large parties. It was very disappointing.

Well spaced out tables right now, so if you're looking for some COVID distance, this is really good. The food is very good! The menu is a tasty mix of Latin cuisines. The nachos were on point! The jalapeños were really fresh and the crema was a lovely balance to the spice. And I loved the tacos! You can make a combination of three different types. The grilled fish with the coconut lime crema I could have honestly had a full order of, it was delicious. The pork and chicken were also so well seasoned. Very happy with all my choices here!

Fine but not stellar. This place was crazy busy with most restaurants in town closed for the holiday. It was slammed with patrons and the staff (although tons of them randomly milling around) seemed like they could hardly keep up. It took a while to get a table, and then to get our order in, but after that, the food came incredibly quickly! So obviously the kitchen was keeping up just fine. The house margaritas were quite strong. I had the verduras street tacos which weren't my favorite. Mostly because of the weird drizzle of some kind of mayo sauce on top. It was completely unnecessary and kind of ruined what otherwise would have been a great veggie taco with queso fresco and cilantro. After trying the first one (an order comes with three), I tried to scrape the sauce off the other two but unfortunately it just sort of smeared all over. Que lastima. Next time I'm in town, I'll try a different restaurant.

This place is a combo of Mexican and Cuban place and the food here was amazing! The portion sizes were huge, and everything we ordered was great. My friend got the pork chop and I am shocked she was able to finish because it was so big. The chips were free, great and unlimited. Our waitress was attentive, and this was the best dining experience we had in this area!

The food is beautifully presented and I appreciate their mocktail options. I had the fish special of the day, which happened to be seared halibut served with their achiote rice and onion & bell peppers. The achiote rice could use a touch more seasoning but otherwise the food was delicious and the service was so warm and welcoming.

The staff was nice and they were only seating the bar half of the restaurant. The menu is quite small with a huge tequila selection and some other cocktails. The pricing is pretty high and the food is definitely southwestern not true Mexican, which you can tell from the photos. We had the chips and salsa. The chips were definitely homemade and thick. The chips were delicious alone but I came with a green and red sauce. The green sauce was good, the red was okay and both were mild. For dinner I had the carne asada tacos and my dad had the pollo tacos. Each taco plate comes with 4 and you cannot mix and match. The carne asada was delicious. You could tell the meat was high quality and seasoned well. The tortillas were corn, but thick and delicious. I do not usually like corn but these were phenomenal. The pollo was okay, I wasn't a huge fan of the seasoning on the chicken but I do like that the portion of the meat was substantial. To drink I got their pineapple drink with vodka instead of tequila. It was good but small and almost $20

Service 3/5: The older woman serving us was not in a great mood which was evident because she gave a younger guy working an attitude about the location of something in the cafe right in front of us. She put in my husband's order completely wrong (egg Benedict instead of a burrito) , and originally our food came out together but we had to wait for his to be cooked which we don't care but having a toddler there always makes every second feel much longer, but it was SO fast to come out. Also they gave us an orange juice instead of the apple juice we requested. We lived with it, my toddler doesnt have meltdowns over that yet. Ambiance: simple cafe. Don't think it's handicap accessible. There are stairs to get down when you walk in the door. We left our stroller in the car. Overall we heard such amazing great things but it was relatively average for our experience! Maybe just the Sunday rainy morning we went. But for a $50-60 breakfast for 2.5 people we will not return during our trip.
