I don't even like fish tacos, but @tacombi just completely rewrote the rules. Mind = blown. We tried Tacombi for the first time over the Father's Day and birthday weekend, and I am officially obsessed! The steak taco was incredibly juicy and packed with flavor, the street corn was an absolute 10/10, and those fish tacos were genuinely outta this world. Shoutout to their outdoor setup for being so welcoming to our pup during our birthday and Father's Day weekend outing. I highly recommend the juicy steak tacos and the street corn! I can't wait to return with the kids next time. ¡A mí ni siquiera me gustan los tacos de pescado, pero @tacombi cambió las reglas del juego por completo! Me quedé con la boca abierta. Probamos Tacombi por primera vez durante el fin de semana del Día del Padre y de mi cumpleaños, ¡y oficialmente estoy obsesionada! El taco de carne (steak) estaba increíblemente jugoso y lleno de sabor, el elote de la calle (street corn) fue un absoluto 10/10, y esos tacos de pescado de verdad estaban fuera de este mundo. Un agradecimiento especial por su espacio al aire libre, ya que fueron súper amables al recibir a nuestro perrito durante nuestra salida de celebración. ¡Recomiendo muchísimo los jugosos tacos de carne y el elote de la calle! Ya quiero regresar con los niños la próxima vez.

Taco Tuesday done right They offer a great 2-for-1 taco deal when you dine in, and everything we tried was seriously good. I went with the carne asada and Baja fish tacos--both were packed with flavor--but the real standout was the avocado tostada. Definitely a must-order. They also have a solid happy hour with a few drink options available until 7, which is a nice bonus. Service was excellent--Andrew took great care of us--and the open, airy layout makes it a perfect spot to enjoy on a warm summer day.

I really enjoyed the Tacombi in Forest Hills so finally decided to check out the Tacombi in Westbury when I had to go to Marshall's right nearby. It's a pretty cool spot for being in the middle of a shopping center parking lot. They have indoor and outdoor dining, and a pseudo bar area. I would have tried a margarita but I had a cold so went for the watermelon juice. It was good but not as fresh as I remember the Forest Hills watermelon juice being. The carne asada taco was good especially with adding the free green sauce. The shrimp taco was fairly good too. The small chips and guac were good and fresh and didn't have tomato, though you can't customize the spice level. The service was friendly but slow. Overall enjoyable Mexican spot especially if watching the bottom line compared to other Mexican spots nearby.

So been to this spot in the city and was excited to try it out here on the island. The food was fresh they give a small Portion for a large guacamole that cost 15 dollars. Our serve was okay he was attentive but made some assumptions when placing orders for the table. The ambience was quote at the lunch time we went. They have a sample of their chicken soup which was delicious. I had a birra taco which was good except the side that was laying on the plate was soggy which tells me it was sitting waiting to be brought to me for a whole. We shared the churros. They were okay. I'm always looking for it to be coated with sugar and cinnamon but they were dusted

I tried Tacombi for the first time and their taco was good! Since I usually order birria taco at other taco places, I decided to try their beef birria taco. It was around $7 and the taco itself is an okay portion, but the taste was great and the broth that came with the taco was also delicious! If you're going for lunch, I saw they have lunch special which I'm planning to try in my next visit. They also have kids eat free promotion on Monday :) Definitely try if you haven't!

Have been back a handful of times. A great place to be when the weather is nice out. Yesterday a few coworkers and I came for Taco Tuesday. Andrew provided the best service! We had such a good time. My fave is the corn app and the Shrimp Taco. Delicious!

This tacombi location has plenty of parking in front, and if not, then there's a whole parking lot nearby within walking distance. Plenty of seating inside as well! Very large location compared to queens/manhattan/brooklyn locations. We ordered the Agua de Jamaica (Hibiscus juice) and the Agua de Piña (pineapple juice) for drinks. Both were very good but we liked the Hibiscus one more! For tacos, we had the Baja crispy fish taco, carne asada, al pastor, and crispy chicken tinga. In another location, we were pretty disappointed with the Baja crispy fish tacos and we wanted to give it another chance at this location. While the taco itself wasn't soggy this time (thankfully!), the flavor remains the same - bland. It lacks flavor. Maybe it's just how tacombi makes it but they boast a good Baja crispy fish tacos. If that's what you're looking for, probably look elsewhere. The taco that stood out the most was the crispy chicken tinga taco. By far, best taco of the ones we had at Tacombi! Has a slight kick, very flavorful, and very messy but what taco isn't? Haha! We were disappointed that every other table was given salsas to go with their tacos, but we weren't. At other locations, we were given them but not here. To be honest, service was pretty slow and we noticed the workers just chatting away in a huddle while we waited. Good work relationships are to be cherished, however please also be attentive! Lastly, we ordered the churros with chocolate dipping sauce. While tempting, I'd advise to skip. You can find better churros somewhere else as well! But if you're craving it, it'd probably satisfy that craving.

I just discovered that I've eaten at a Tacombi restaurant before, one in Flatiron and another in Brooklyn. Now I'm adding the Long Island Westbury location to the list. I will say, one thing that has stayed consistent is the wonderful service. I've been to the Westbury location twice already and have always had a pleasant experience. The food is solid and is definitely worth adding to your Taco Tuesday list. So far, I've had the tacos and a Birria Burrito. The Burrito is massive and super filling. The tacos are reasonable and you're good with just three if you're regular hungry. The ambiance gives street taco stand, which is the point, but it's super cozy and chill. My kind of vibe. Nothing bad to say honestly. Will continue going.

I came here and ordered esquites, margaritas and chicken tinga tacos. The food and drinks were great. It was a nice day and we were able to sit outdoors as well so that was nice. The only thing is that within 5 minutes of us being seated we were asked THREE TIMES if we were ready to order. it felt like we were being rushed and I didn't understand that because the restaurant was no where close to full. When we were ready to go the server too foreverrrr to bring us our check. I'd definitely visit Tacombi again but definitely not this location.

Had no idea there's been a Tacombi in Westbury. I came in after some shopping and the decor was so pleasing to the eyes and restaurant itself was open, spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and made it a point to make myself and my guests feel welcome. I enjoyed my vegan Burrita which was full of flavor and freshness. I also ordered a Michelada with my food that was also very tasty. Highly recommend coming here with friends and family on Tuesdays and Fridays they have great deals.

I've been here multiple times with friends and honestly while the tacos are decent it's definitely not worth the price, even tacos in the city are cheaper and better tasting than this. I also noticed they switched from a QR code to order to have waiters come take your order but honestly it was not a good choice for them. Last time I came I had to wait 30 min just for someone to take my order and that's only because my friend went to go find someone, the QR code system was much more efficient for them. Also in my most recent visit one of the guys working behind the bar was pretty rude and told me and my friends we couldn't sit on the outdoors benches but then proceeded to let another group use those seats, which just rubbed me the wrong way. Overall, okay place, the manager seems nice but it's not worth the money and lack of good customer service. read more

Visited this new place on a Sunday lunch time. No line. Ordered Berria tacos, beef quesadilla, fish tacos. Place is cute. Nice and open! Staff on Point continually alert to clear tables and keep clean. Lawdy. The food was good. Also ordered margaritas and corn side. Food was fast and great!!! Delicious flavors ! After hearing about this new location from social media, my wife and I decided to pay a visit. Location is nice, outdoor and open indoor seating. I got the guacamole and an al pastor taco... both were bland. The guacamole didn't have enough onion, cilantro or salt. The taco needed salt as well all though the meat itself was tender. The sauce they gave me with the taco was smoky but that's really it. All in all not better than a local taco truck imo. The vibe is cute tho. read more

We've been eyeing this spot for a minute now, especially after seeing a few other locations in the city and queens. The service was on point and everyone was very attentive. We definitely were not disappointed and so happy we have a taco spot on Long Island! Tacos were delicious and a good portion. We ordered Birria Tacos and it had a generous amount of meat and cheese in every bite. The consume was the perfect ratio of spices to liquid. Al Pastor taco was so delicious and tender! Tortillas were not dry at all. Rice and beans for the little one and she loved it. We were dining with our 19month old and they had high chairs and little crayon placemats. Super cute and does not go unnoticed! We also had the esquite which was so juicy and topped perfectly with the mayo/cheese combo. As well as a cheese quesadilla, which came with onions and cilantro ( so if you're not a fan make sure you let the server know!) The agua de Horchata and Jamaica were tasty that we ordered some to go as well! I had a margarita and it was so refreshing. We'll be back soon! read more

Was excited to try this place. Atmosphere is great and the setup is efficient to order. The good ends there. Birria was greasy and they forgot the consomme, we had to ask for it. Also tried the al pastor quesadilla. Meat was bland and I mistaked it for a taco, it was very small and not much flavor going on. This place is great. Favorite tacos on Long Island by far. Carne asada is juicy and not tough. They serve it with grilled onions and I think jalapeño's. Delicious. Mushroom quesadilla is open faced with lots of mushrooms. I swear they must make each guacamole to order it tastes so fresh. And the esquite is out of this world. I add the corn to the tacos and the quesadillas and I'm in heaven. The food is simple and not expensive and sooooo good. Love this place. read more

Food was good but way overpriced for what you get. Portions were small and very expensive. When they first opened it wasn't like that, then within a few weeks the portions got smaller and seemed like the prices increased. Went for a quick lunch and was more than satisfied. The al pastor taco and Baja crispy fish taco both were delicious and are the perfect size. We were surprised with how good the Sandia Santa cocktail was. Service was fast. You can also go right to an open table and order from your phone which isn't directly advertised but saves you from waiting on line. Will definitely go back! read more

So while driving in my neighborhood, I was surprised to see that Tacombi - one of my favorite. Taqueria's has opened! This could be dangerous because it the food was great and I definitely did not feel like I was in the middle of a Long Island parking lot.! Fail!!! Fail!!Fail!!. Loud, dirty bathroom, food greasy and tasteless except the salsas which are way too hot. Staff clears table of your flatware and napkins mid bite. Guacamole is free at Qdoba and tastes much better. Too expensive left hungry. Save yourself the trip. read more

I love Birria tacos in this place did not disappoint. The meat was very good and the portions were large. The consommé was also very good. I also got one of the fish tacos breaded. I have to say that it was one of the best fish tacos I've ever had.it's about seven dollars a taco. So for three tacos and a drink I spent $30. I will go here again. read more

Flavorful and fresh, my quesadilla was the perfect size and my friends burrito was pretty filling that she had to pack the rest to go. There is also a clean and spacious bathroom in the back if needed. Credit cards are accepted and they can split the bill if needed. We will be returning!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I recently decided to try these tacos after seeing all the rave reviews on TikTok, but I have to say, they were the worst l've ever had. From the moment I took my first bite, I was met with disappointment. The flavors were completely off; there was no seasoning to speak of, and the meat was dry and lacking any real texture. The tortillas were soggy and fell apart as soon as I picked them up, making for a messy and unenjoyable experience. Instead of the fresh, vibrant flavors I was expecting, it felt like I was eating a bland, sad version of what tacos should be. To top it off, the portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price. I genuinely can't understand why so many people are raving about this place on social media. Maybe I hit them on an off day, but I doubt I'll be giving them another chance. We had a wonderful lunch at Tacombi and the highlight of our visit was truly the outstanding service. Our server, Derek, was a terrific young man--warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive throughout our meal. He took the time to walk us through the menu, happily answering questions and offering helpful suggestions without ever making us feel rushed. Derek's positive attitude and knowledge really elevated the entire experience. It's not every day you come across someone who clearly enjoys what they do and makes guests feel so welcome. Unlike their NYC locations, the Westbury spot operates with a window-ordering system and self-seating. Personally, I enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Tacombi's NYC locations. The food at the Westbury spot remains consistent with their other establishments. During my recent visit, I ordered three types of tacos and ranked them as follows: Baja Crispy Fish, Pollo Yucateco, and Carne Asada. We tried this place for the first time yesterday, but I doubt we'd return. Prices seem oddly high for small portions of mediocre food. $7 for an extremely average carne asada taco? The chicken quesadilla is likely not what you're picturing when you order it: It's a single tortilla that arrives with the chicken and cheese on top. Like a slightly larger taco, basically. I will say that my husband had a cocktail called the Mezcal Mule that he said was outstanding. Maybe people come here mainly for the drinks, and the food is more of an afterthought. read more

Came to Tacombi for a quick bite in between some shopping and we were very pleased with everything! The manager, Claudio was super attentive from taking our order, to bringing our puppy a water bowl, to also bringing us a little container for our dog to eat his first carne asada taco! The ambiance reminds me of the restaurants you go to eat in at the Mexican beaches with the tables, chairs, and outdoor seating. A small menu, but very practical and delicious options.
