I ordered the 12 pack of Pollo Tacos for $11.99 through DoorDash. Something I noted during my order was that you could add a churro if you spent over $10. Not sure if this is applicable also at the restaurant, but it was much appreciated. I received a styrofoam container of 12 Pollo tacos and 3 salsa verde containers. On top of that was a separate foil pack of cilantro, onion, and a lime sliced in quarters. I thought that the Pollo Tacos were okay; I had to add the salsa verde and the rest of the toppings for the flavor to be better. What I should have probably done is added grilled onions to see if it would increase the flavor profile. I could have probably also asked for the red salsa too. I do want to point out that if you want decent tacos that this is definitely one of the cheapest I've seen. The quantity was also enough for 2-3 meals. The churro was fresh, warm, and had a Dulce de Leche (caramel) filling. Definitely recommend getting one! read more

Save your money. Poor quality food. We ordered bistec burritos and there was hardly any meat, but a lot of gristle and fat instead. The rice was hard. And overall the food really lacked flavor. Ordered some tacos and some chilaquiles. Everything was salty. Every bite was like eating salt cubes. Don't recommend at all.

When I'm craving authentic Mexican food this is my go to spot. It can get very busy around lunch time and has longer waits but it's worth it. I live the red enchiladas they use the authentic sauce. This little Mexican restaurant is a good option for a quick clean bite to eat. They have a fantastic Chile Relleno and their appetizers include a bomb choriqueso that comes with flour tortillas but it's probably not a good idea to order that for delivery. Plates are generous and authentic from their seafood selection to their parrilladas. Another thing to try are their delicious homemade flour tortillas but note that they are a little extra. Complete and utter RIPOFF!!! I paid for food I didn't get, and to this date, they've done nothing about it! When I appealed to the employees there, they blew me off. When I asked for the manager, the employees blew me off again. No concern for customer service at all. No concern about not getting my order right AGAIN. No concern about anything. They do the least amount possible to justify their paychecks. Nothing more. After confirming my order TWICE, I did not receive the additional chips I asked for (this is the 2nd time this has happened). When I called back in to ask about them, I was promised that the delivery guy would bring them back. When that didn't happen, and after I found a missed call from the store, I tried to call back in and ask why this hadn't happened, as well as to ask about the extremely poor quality of meat I found (again) on the fajita nachos I received. At this point, the restaurant supposedly (and conveniently) started experiencing "phone problems." Someone would pick up, but then no one would speak. This happened at least a dozen times over the next 2 or 3 hours. Finally, I gave up and went to the store. When I arrived at the store, as soon as I identified myself and asked why I was being treated this way (especially since I've spent HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS at Tacon Ganas), the girl at the counter (and eventually, the delivery guy) became argumentative. When I told her about the poor quality of the meat on the fajita nachos, she insinuated that I was lying by stating that she specifically told the cook to use fresh meat on them. So, even though Tacon Ganas NEVER completed my order, it was her position that it was ME who had an integrity problem! After it became abundantly clear that neither of these people had any customer service skills at all, nor did they care that I was extremely unhappy not only with the food, but most especially with the way I was being treated, I gave up and left. As I advised the rude and argumentative employees at the store, from now on, anytime I see Tacon Ganas menus left out anywhere, I will be throwing them away. I will also be filing a formal complaint with the BBB, and warning as many people as I can on and off the Internet to avoid Tacon Ganas like the plague! read more

As I drove by Tacon Madre last night, my spidey senses started to tingle. Whether it was the homemade poster-board signs in the windows, or the glare of the Fox Soccer Channel beckoning, I do not know. What I do know is that I pulled over and went inside. I was not disappointed. We had the 3 tacos with your choice of meat served on corn tortillas with onion, cilantro, and lime on the side. Rice and refried beans were also included. My sweetheart of a server gave me extra tortillas as well at no extra charge. This meal is $5.56. Seafood is new addition to Tacon Madre's menu, and the server was quick to point this out. She also went over all the seafood options. I ordered the tilapia the Mexican way, which was grilled tilapia cooked in garlic sauce, onions, and tomatoes. It came with rice, bread, french fries, and lettuce, and came to about $10.00. Both meals were excellent value, and good. My server, whose name I forgot (shame on me) also gave me some of their homemade salsa and chips. The salsa is good, with a bit of kick in it. The waitress was great: she was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The TVs were indeed on the Fox Soccer Channel while I was there, and there were several patrons on their own watching the highlight show and have a beer / or dinner. I think the owners/management has changed and I've seen that the place has been remodeled but seems like they are never open...? As I walk in the tables were all disorganized & sloppy, the young girl server with red hair was rude and had attitude every time you asked her for something that was missing.
