What a surprise! In town for an event at Charlotte Motor Speedway and tried out this place to go. When we picked up the food we found it bustling on a Tuesday night, outdoor seating and just a great vibe. They were super quick in bringing out our order, someone actually came by to help us before I could call and tell them we had arrived!The tacos were much bigger than expected, super fresh and delicious. I got the chicken habanero, they don't skimp on avocado either. A definite must is the salsa, sooooo good! I totally buy a jar if they sold it. We had the korean steak bbq tacos, the chicken bacon ranch tacos, and kids cheese quesa dillas, chips and queso side, side of queso rice and side corn. Everything was SO good! Get the table size chips and queso because it's so good that youre going to want more. And the chicken bacon ranch tacos come on a fluffy shell which was also amazing! I ordered the crab cake, beef, korean bbq, and fried chicken tacos. a. The crab cake was decent. I like the lime wedge for acidity and the freshness. b. The beef was regular, but it was aight. Nothing special. Not much flavor c. The korean bbq had good flavor, but the ratio of meat to the other stuff was off. d. The fried chicken taco was pretty good, probably one of the best out of all 4 None of the above will make me come back. The creamed corn was okay and the queso wasn't too different from what I've had at other Mexican spots. I don't really like their tortilla chips. They're like corn chips from the store with a little bit of seasoning that I could barely taste. My husband said his food was aight last night compared to what he had previously. Well, this was my first time and I'm not convinced that I should even come back based on the above and the following two reasons below: 2. I ordered black beans and they forgot to put this in my bag. I didn't feel like going back because (a) I was hungry as hell, (b) I had my 3-year-old with me and she was already reaching her limit of not touching everything, and (c) it was cold as balls outside. 3. I ordered 8 tacos (4 between my husband and me). We spent a good 5 minutes or so trying to figure out who's taco belonged to who. Imma need them to label those styrofoam joints. Like write some quick initials on them or something. Honestly, I probably won't go back, at least not on my own. When it comes to quick tacos, I'd rather go to Sabor. I'm not too much into the fru fru when it comes to tacos and I like my beef juicy and flavorful. I get the appeal of this place, but the prices for THESE tacos make this place aight. Filling even though there's no drink. We're water drinkers so not a big deal for us but those of you who are need to know. A meal can run you around ten bucks, one taco about $3.50. They are a nice size and loaded. It's seat yourself but they bus the tables. Indoor and outdoor seating. There were SO many items on the menu I want to try. My lunch hour didn't allow for enough time to take it all in so I MUST go back. Wait did I say how darn good the crabcake was??? I had the eggplant taco. The eggplant was fried and yummy.
