It was my wife and I's first time here, very clean inside, the staff was friendly upon entering. The menu is very simple and not hard to read, I got the quesadilla and my wife got the Korean bowl, the queso was absolutely amazing, the food was cooked perfectly, had a great flavor overall; fairly priced too, the food is well worth what you pay. Really fresh food that you can taste on every bite. Flavorful healthy tasting tacos. I had the shrimp and crab cake taco. I'm not sold on those two but little options for just seafood. Fast casual taco joint that is okay. With all of the other taco joints in Charlotte and the surrounding area, this one blends in with the rest, nothing really stands out about it, except it's one of the few taco joints in the mall area. There are two entrances- one for to go orders and one for dine in orders. They have a variety of tacos on their menus and they're served in either a soft flour tortilla, corn tortilla or a puffy taco shell. The price of the tacos are per taco and the ingredients/toppings included in the taco are listed on the menu underneath that taco. The tacos are pretty big. One cool thing is that they're trying to end child hunger, so they donate a meal everytime you buy a taco. They have sides that you can order in addition to your taco. Pesto rice, Mexican cream corn, guac, chips and salsa and chips and queso. They also offer other things besides tacos, they have salads, and rice bowls too. I ordered the grilled chicken taco and the chipotle steak taco with pesto rice, Mexican cream corn and chips and queso. Everything came out pretty quick and the service was good. The grilled chicken taco was good and I enjoyed having some queso on the taco. The chipotle steak taco was okay, nothing special. It really didn't have any chipotle flavor. I did enjoy the puffy taco shell. The queso was good, but watery. It needs to be a thicker consistency. The pesto rice is good and unique but it needed some salt. The Mexican cream corn is pretty good. It's creamed corn with cotija cheese and some Mexican seasonings and cilantro a very different take on Mexican street corn. I left stuffed. If I'm craving a quick bite and some tacos, I may be inclined to come back if I'm in the area. read more

Came here today for lunch and the place is packed! They have a super cool concept and give a meal to those in need for every meal you purchase! We ordered queso, a grilled chicken taco, chicken bacon ranch taco, Korean bbq taco, and the chicken quesadilla. Ill pass on the chicken bacon taco next time but everything else was delicious! First time here and I'm loving it so much! I ordered the trio, which is a serving of guacamole, salsa and cheese dip. Perfect for $6. Enough for an entire table but let's be honest, I could eat for a family of four in one sitting. The salsa was okay. The cheese dip was good. The quac was the bomb. The chips are seasoned perfectly and have a good crisp to them. Now for my tacos. I had three. I had the crab cakes which were okay. I'm not a big crab cake person so take my opinion lightly there. They tasted fresh and pretty good. I also had the chipotle steak which was BOMB. But the fried chicken takes the crown! Crispy, flavorful chicken with lettuce and sauce. It's perfect. I highly recommend the fried chicken taco! I hope they open more locations in Charlotte. They really need to! So it should go without saying, I highly recommend this place!! read more

This was our foster time here. We went between 6-8pm. It was very crowded but we were able to get seats. We orders six tacos for about $28. All of tacos were good except the taco that a crab cake. It was 98% breading. I would steer away from that one. We both loved the habenero tacos. My personal favorite was the Korean bbq. I will return for that one. Chipotle where??? My cousin had an amazing concert and afterwards she wanted to celebrate with Tacos. She told me about this amazing restaurant in Connecticut before we even made it to Charlotte ... So I figured it had to be pretty good.. Pretty Good is an understatement. This place is amazing and whats dope is for every meal purchased it feeds the less fortunate. I love making purchases for a cause. We both got Bowls that come with this amazing southwest ranch on the side. The Chicken is grilled to perfection, and also comes with huge chunks of Avocado. The portions size are huge so my bowl lasted me two days. To drink they have this amazing housemade punch. Its tropical like something you'd get off the island. The Manager took our order and he was really sweet. Ill definitely make this a first stop when I come back to Charlotte. read more

I would consider myself a lover of tacos (honestly who wouldn't?). My friend and I went here for dinner around 7:30pm on a Tuesday night and the parking lot was packed! Luckily the line inside was not long. I had looked up the menu/pictures beforehand so I knew what I wanted, but unfortunately they don't post their prices online. That's okay, because I was already committed. You order at the counter and receive a number to place on your table. As I stepped to the counter, I mentioned to the cashier it was my first time and asked a few questions - she wasn't particularly helpful and seemed more focused on getting me out of the way. I asked if they did combos, which she answered by offering me the kids meal (confusing). So I just ordered the Mango Habanero Chicken and the Hawaiian Shrimp tacos, then the three dips & chips for my friend and I to share. Total came to almost $20 with a drink. I meant to order my tacos on lettuce wraps, but was not asked - which would've been helpful - what I wanted them in or confirming the plain tortillas were good. My friend and I went out to the patio, which has several picnic tables in a couple sizes for seating. It was much more enjoyable than sitting inside where the restaurant was very loud and there was a persistent beeping. It'd be helpful if they added lights so folks can enjoy the patio into the evening hours. Anyway, our chips and dips came out pretty quickly. The salsa was good, the queso had great flavor, but was a little runny for my liking, and the guac needed some spice for my taste. The chips were good and crunchy. Shortly after, our food came out - my friend had two chicken tacos on the fluffy tortillas which she LOVED. My tacos had great taste and two were plenty filling. Based on our experience, I think I'd try to go back on a nice day when I can enjoy the patio (with some daylight) and try other of their tacos/menu items, but only if I were in the area. read more

Let me first say eating there is for a good cause. Part of the proceeds go to end hunger programs. Service is good and the staff is friendly. However...the food is just average. Let me detail. Fortunately I'm from Texas, where tacos reign and rule. Even out of a road side stand they're some of the best I've ever eaten. So let's address the Flour Tortillas...blah, bland, actually worse than what I buy at Teeter. A place like this should homemake them. It's not that hard. But it is a franchise so I blame that on the organization not the franchisee. For Gods sakes grill it at least. Just a few minutes on each side and BAM, different outcome. Tortilla chips, apparently they're bought in bulk too. Hard and to thick. What do I enjoy? The actual filling of the taco was ok, I got the shrimp. If the tort had been grilled a little to warm it it'd have been a much better taco. But with all the condiments being cold AND the tort too...it just didn't work. We love this place and absolutely love their concept. They provide a meal for a hungry child for every meal that is purchased. Quick service concept where you leave your trays on the table. They have many different taco choices as well as a few other dishes. I absolutely love their fried shrimp taco, grilled and fried chicken tacos. Some of the tacos come with a fried tortilla which to me is the best part. I've never tried their other dishes because I always get the tacos but I'm sure it's just as amazing and delicious as their tacos. read more

I first had their tacos at the Yelp Goes Gatsby event. They were so delicious, I figured out where they were located. They are in the Concord Mills area which is not too close to my home, but it's so good I've made the trip over here twice in the past week. My favorite is the Chicken Mango Habanero taco, it's so yummy and spicy. I tried the Chipotle Steak today and it was good, but as good as the chicken. I also ordered the personal chips and guacamole which also gets 5 stars. This just might be my new favorite taco spot, I can't wait to return! read more

Absolutely fabulous. Wanted to stop for lunch before heading to the airport. So glad we chose this place. Greeted by staff at the door, huge selection of taco options, average of $3-$4, average meal size would be two. Great opportunity to try 2 different taco creations :-). We have ordered from Tacos for Life a good 10-15 times since they opened. Almost every single time, it has 100% hit the spot. I always use their curbside service and every young person that has delivered my food has been so courteous and sweet. They are prompt and you get a great meal for $10/ person. We also have received free dips and cookies for ordering multiple times. My favorite is the chorizo with Queso rice. So glad they opened up down the street! I will be a life long customer. read more

Great food with a great cause! Tacos 4 Life offers a unique menu of tacos that aren't all traditional, from classic beef to Hawaiian and Korean BBQ they are full of flavor. As for the cause, they've raised over $300,000 to feed kids in need of a meal and all you have to do to help. is have a meal of your own. Buy a meal give a meal. In the photos you'll see their normal menu along with a Dairy free, Gluten free, Egg free and Soy free option. Highly recommend the Korean BBQ tacos and the cream corn is was told is the best (I cannot eat dairy, I know sad) salsa was spicy and good, the guacamole was also worth getting.
