Quick and simple. First time at this location but not the first time at the restaurant. Staff is always friendly and answer any questions I may have. It wasn't super busy but you can tell this is a popular location. It was a nice evening so my friend and I sat outside. The food was good as always. I like having a place where the tacos are going to consistently be good and I don't have to worry about surprises.

If you're wondering whether or not to go to Tacos 4 Life, you should. We had a great experience from start to finish. The young lady who took our order at the counter where you start and the one who brought the food to the table, were both very sweet. I needed to go back to the counter for a different sauce and was greeted by a gentleman who couldn't have been more accommodating. The service was outstanding. The dining room was pretty cold and the music was a bit loud, but there was plenty of seating for any sized group and it was very clean. You need a taco 4 life NOW!!

The chips were delicious and the serving size of the rice bowl was great for lunch. The food came out quickly, delivered to the table. Service was nice, and I was surprised that we were told to leave our tray at the table and they would take care of them. I ordered a rice bowl that reminded me of the chipotle bowl I regularly order, though it tasted fresher. The restaurant was nice and clean. Seemed like a busy lunch spot. Would try again.

Crab Cake and grilled chicken tacos with queso rice

Food is consistently delicious, fresh, and high quality. I really enjoy the crab cake taco with the puffy shell. Their grilled chicken taco is a classic and also a fantastic option. Service is quick and friendly. My friends and I dined outside on the picnic tables since it wasn't too hot of a day. Would recommend.

Wow! I searched on Yelp for a place for lunch and found this place. Very friendly staff. Tacos were delicious!! I especially liked the "puffy flour tortilla". I tried the chipotle steak taco and the classic beef. The steak one was my favorite. I had the Mexican creamed corn for the side, and it was delicious. The restaurant was clean and friendly atmosphere. Super neat to learn that they donate to feed children in need. We need a place like this in Northern Virginia!

This was my first time back here since they're grand opening years ago. At the time, I remember being underwhelmed by my experience, even with the food being free. I felt like it was time to give them another try. We went for a quick weekday lunch. When we arrived, there was no wait. We placed our orders and then sat while we waited for our food. The food was done in a reasonable amount of time. The nachos were fully loaded and good. The tacos were good but would have been better if the shells were warmed. Overall it was a decent experience. I'm not sure this would be my first choice of places since there are much better options in the area.

Ordered takeout tacos, chips and dip. I like that there is a good cause associated and when you buy food, they donate food. The flavor of the tacos was a little lacking for me. The dip trio and chips on the other hand were very good and a good price. I would order the dip trio again but not the tacos.

First of all, I LOVE the mission to feed a hungry child with each meal purchase. This alone makes this place a winner to me. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Numerous entrance/exits (so important). The service was wonderful. The staff was super friendly and very helpful explaining menu items, as this was my first visit. Food arrived quickly and seasoned excellently. I had the taco meal. Love the fact that you can mix and match your two tacos. I chose the tofu and the crab cake tacos with queso rice and a pineapple Jarritos. The tofu taco had a soft tortilla shell, but the crab cake had more of a chalupa style shell (wondering if it's an option to select the latter shell for all taco types-it's phenomenal). Let me tell you, Tacos 4 Life is NOT stingy with stuffing their tacos! I thought the tortillas were going to BURST...I love it! Yes, there was spillage and I gladly used the provided fork to grab it! The queso rice was great, I only wish I had a larger serving! Looking forward to a return visit!

Fast-food gourmet tacos? Sign me up! This place has many delicious, unique taco options for you to choose from. The service is fast, and the employees are friendly. They donate a meal for any purchased, so you're eating tacos for a good cause. What could be more satisfying? The strawberry watermelon juice was outstanding. It made me want to make a cocktail with it. My favorite tacos are the blackened mahi mahi and spicy chorizo tacos. The dip trio is a great option if you have a few people munching with you - it's definitely shareable, but you might have to get some extra chips. The side salad was generous and I loved the cilantro vinaigrette dressing. I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken, bacon and ranch taco or the queso rice, but there are plenty of other options so it won't deter me from coming back.

This was a perfect spot for a quick meal. The line was almost out the door but it moved quickly and honestly was a welcomed sign while we studied the menu to decide what we wanted to order. Service was quick yet still very friendly and the staff in the dining area were constantly clearing tables and cleaning to keep seats opening up as orders were placed and previous patrons finished. This crew works hard and it really shows. We both ended up ordering the mix and match taco meal with the blackened mahi, chipotle steak, and Mexican creamed corn. We also got the chips and salsa for the table to share. Our total was $35 on the dot. I appreciate that they bring the chips and salsa out ahead of the meal to help space things out as you eat. The chips were my favorite, extra thin and crispy with just the right amount of salt and seasoning. The salsa was also the perfect consistency and flavor with just enough spice to not be bland but not to be considered spicy. The tacos came out quicker than I expected considering the packed house. The steak was tender and flavorful and accompanied by well cooked peppers and onions. The blackened mahi was the star of the show, though. Great flavor and cooked just right! The creamed corn had the elotes toppings and was a great accompaniment to the meal. Overall it's a more substantial meal than I expected and I wasn't even able to finish all of my corn. It's perfect for something quick when you don't have the time for the long waits at the traditional sit down restaurants- especially on a busy weekend evening. I highly advise pulling the menu up on your phone while in life because the menu above the line is a bit hard to read and like I said, the line moves pretty fast.

Fresh Taco's with Different choices. This place is well rounded with the seafood, meat and MEATLESS options. ALL of which are consistent and delicious! I always wait until at least trying a place 3 times to make sure its consistent... and this place has it. If you love tacos (who doesn't!) and philantrophy, then this is the place for you. Every meal you purchase helps provide a meal for someone that needs it more than you. This is the TOMS of tacos and you should be downright proud of yourself for choosing to eat delicious Tacos whilst helping the less fortunate. Can you say "MANGO HABANERO"? Yes you can! And it is a glorious flavor town sauce that I'd consider swimming in. Get the ULTIMATE TRIO (salsa, guacamole, queso) if you're with friends and don't be ashamed to double dip that glorious, golden queso. This is a neat hipster taco place but if you're looking for exceptional tacos I wouldn't advise coming here. The tortilla was extremely hard and dry and the meat/steak was difficult to chew. Microscopic menu up on the wall... almost impossible to read. Took our number to the super crowded dining room, but the food came out fast. First table had a 20 mph breeze straight from the arctic, probably designed to keep people from lingering, but we found an alternative table that wasn't quite so cold. This restaurant is the best taco place. The food is always fresh and delicious. The manager that runs this restaurant is amazing. Every time I go here to eat I always see him working hard. He walks around and talks to his customers. I see him cleaning tables, serving food, taking takeout orders to curbside, etc. Our food is always ready quickly and correctly. Tacos 4 Life is a taco shop that gives you the chance to eat awesome food while making a difference in our world. When you buy a taco, you provide a meal for a hungry child. Buy a meal, give a meal. Meal for meal.

History

Established in 2014.

Tacos 4 Life started in Conway, AR in 2014, but this is not where the story begins. Austin and Ashton Samuelson learned in 2009 that over 18,000 children were dying worldwide each day due to starvation and hunger related causes. What surprised them is that the problem was completely preventable. Starvation is nothing more than a distribution problem. This simple fact moved them so much that they knew they could, and should, do something to help solve this problem. Thus, Tacos 4 Life was born.

Meet the Business Owner: Austin and Ashton S.

My husband and I graduated from OBU In 2008 and moved to West LA. In California, we used to make pizzas built on pita because they were affordable and healthy. We also got involved with World Vision after hearing Rich Stearns, the CEO, speak at our church about using your unique gifting to provide hope to hungry children around the world. Austin and I both began a journey with hunger that changed our lives. We moved back to AR in 2010 and the Lord gave Austin an idea, "What if there was a restaurant that donated a meal to a hungry child for every meal sold?"
