Real Mexican food. My chile colorado still has the laurel leaves in it--that's when you know they cook like your grandma. Great customer service. Clean.

The restaurant is called Al Pastor so it has to be the star of the show right? The pastor was marinated and you can taste the char which I wholeheartedly enjoy. The marinate wasn't super super flavorful but I did taste the adobo chilis from marination. I wouldn't claim this to be the best Al Pastor ever but it was definitely good to watch and satisfied my cravings. I ordered Asada tacos as well. I didn't enjoy it as much because it was tougher and chewier than I'd like. Both tacos came with its own container of red and green sauce. Every restaurant is different but for here, red was spicier than the green. For sides, I ordered a cheese quesadilla, Horchata Fresca, and chips with guacamole. The quesadilla was basic, nothing special about it. It had a bit more oil on it than I would expect/like. The horchata was very light and subtle. It was more on the refreshing side. Though it was labeled under a Fresca, I was thinking it would be a bit creamier/more flavorful. It was light in sweetness (could also be from the ice melting from a hot day) and was very Fresca like. I enjoyed it because it was perfect for the weather but if I was looking for a more flavorful horchata, I would wait until I go somewhere else. Finally the chips and guacamole was good. I could tell the chips were made in restaurant because of the oil it had. The guacamole tasted great however it didn't have a freshness to it. It could be older guacamole or the fact that they added pico on top of it which altered the flavor and consistency. The restaurant has a great interior with authentic decor. When I went on a weekday it was not that busy so I was able to get my order promptly.

I was invited to this restaurant for a lunch I ordered a taco chicken salad ( a classic ) unfortunately the tortilla shell was to oily, The guacamole taste like frozen , no like fresh home made it ( it's what I expected in a Mexican restaurant) The pico de gallo was a chunk of tomato and onion with a little cilantro with out any flavor. The size of the salad is good and the price very reasonable. The service take time and in the end we need to go to the counter to asked for to go boxes and pay the bill. After the waitress served our food we didn't see her again and only 4 or 5 table was occupied in the entire restaurant. Maybe was a bad day I don't know but is hard now for me to thinking in give to this restaurant an other chance. The dining looks clean but very outdated

Came for a party next door and was hungry the dining area was closed apparently so we could only order takeout ... strolled next door to the store and gt chips and soda Im giving 4 stars for flavor alone good tacos are hard to find because competition is literally on corners everywhere they were nothing fancy but the flavor was there for sure! If I'm ever in the area we'll stop by

Came here with coworkers for lunch around 12:30 on a Friday. Not that busy so we were seated right away. The chips and salsa were good. Salsa wasn't spicy. The lengua plate was so good. I got the Mexican version sauce for the lengua. It had a little spice to it. Lengua was so tender. Service was ok. Parking lot shared with other business.

I was working half a mile away and had time for lunch so I put in an order for pick up. I saw it in the morning when I was driving to work location and felt our paths would cross today. Located in a small shopping center with a decent sized parking lot. It looks very outdated from the outside and the interior had very authentic decor. It's literally named tacos al pastor which is usually the meat I order but I felt a burrito was the best option for me today. Not to mention each taco is about 4 bones while the burrito was under 12 dollars. It was a no brainer for me. The a pastor lived up to its name and highlights but they have onions cooked in which isn't my favorite but I wont complain. One thing that I'd say could use improvement is the rice and beans could use a touch of salt. Which I'm sure would be easy if you dine in. The salsa Verde honestly fixed that problem, very flavorful.. Last, I'd mention the lady that helped me at the register was very friendly and in a good mood despite the long line of people that she dealt with in a professional and efficient manner.

We were in the area to redeem a free birthday drink from 7 Leaves and my wife was craving some Mexican food. This specific place caught my eye on Yelp when I was searching and we went to give it a try. This place seems to be a chain since inside it was actually referred as Tacos Al Pastor #3. Pro Tip* - If you are planning to do take-out, go straight to the register. If you are eating in, just take a seat at any open table. Lots of people (including us) were confused and thought you order and then sit down. [[ Location ]] It's in a fairly large plaza with salons/massage places and lots of parking. It's not an upscale plaza in any case and even the Tacos Al Pastor restaurant had metal bars/slates on the windows and doors. We didn't feel unsafe but I'm not sure if it's the best area as well. [[ Service ]] Service overall was okay. I thought the staff were nice and friendly so no issues there. Minus 1-star for the following reasons: 1.) Got my order wrong - (a) I wanted the 2 Flautas and Enchilada Combo but they gave me only 1 Flauta. (b) I ordered a Large Horchata but the waiter forgot to bring it out but was still included in the bill at the end. I had to make them take it off. 2.) I don't really think they come and check on you very often. When we ran out of complimentary chips and salsa, I had to flag my waiter down to get a refill even though the waiters passed by the table many times. We also never got our water refilled once. 3.) Be prepared to wait. Even though it wasn't super busy, it took a good 15-20 minutes to get our food. [[ Food ]] Despite the not so stellar service, as long as the food is good, I am usually okay. However, even though the store has a "family vibe" to it, the food was just mediocre. However, I guess the price and portions were fair. We ordered: 1.) Flauta and Enchilada Combo Plate I enjoyed the rice and beans and the enchilada but the beef flauta was extremely dry inside. You definitely needed to use all the sauce on the plate. 2.) Tamale and Chile Relleno Plate Chile Relleno was pretty tasty and I liked the green sauce they used. Rice and beans were good as well. [[ Overall ]] Since the food was just okay and we didn't have the best service, I don't think I would go out of my way to come here again. However, it's okay in a pinch if you want some Mexican food.

Having visited this place since I was a young child, I was dismayed by the staff's behavior tonight, which I found to be extremely poor and disrespectful. After a lengthy wait, I requested water for my son and was met with a negative attitude and laughed when I mentioned that I am deaf.

Regular carne asada burrito was good. Regular lengua taco was good. The carnitas on the regular taco was dry. Great customer service, the lady at the front who took my order was friendly. They also give chips and salsa with your order!

I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Unfortunately inflation and the economy has changed the prices and food sizes, but at least it still tastes good. Some of my favorites here over the years have been the salmon tacos, Esquites, Enchiladas De Camarone and suizas, and the bacon guac. I used to not bat an eye and order whatever I wanted, but now I do have to think a little bit more so that the bill doesn't get too high. Even though it's on a pretty busy road, the traffic isn't usually distracting. Parking in the area can be hard, there's a couple paralele spots and then it's all neighborhood parking on the side of the street with the restaurant. Across the street can be a little bit easier.

They have seating out front inside and in the back, but the place was pretty full. Nonetheless, we were seated quickly as we had a reservation. It is a good idea to call ahead and make one. The prices are high, but hopefully all their people are making a good living and the portions are enough for our appetites at least. I had the shrimp enchiladas, and my wife had the vegetarian tacos with a side order of scrambled eggs. There was nearly a mixup as the waiter thought we wanted to order an egg taco and that's considerably more expensive but we got it straightened out with the maitre D. We also shared a Paloma cocktail with which has a pretty color and delightful taste.

This made it so seamless to reserve here. Our group got there at opening and our table was ready and most of the group was already seated when we got there. Drink orders were flowing as the waitress caught up to me and I got a cafe de olla. We browsed the menu and the more I looked the harder it was to pick one thing. I ended up choosing chilaquiles with a bandera sauce and carne asada as the added protein. The rest of the table got all different types of dishes from carne en su jugo to birria to omelettes. While we enjoyed each other's company sipping on our cafecito I enjoyed the ambiance of the space. Nicely decorated for the holidays. Since it was opening time it wasn't as loud as I imagine it can get in there. The sun did shine on the faces of those facing the windows which was not enjoyable for them. There was no way to cover the sun either since it was coming in from the top windows with no shade. My food came out along with the rest of the plates and we went right in to enjoy them. My favorite chilaquiles was covered in the white sauce. The red and green were good but the white sauce was my favorite. The carne was cooked well but I could taste it wasn't marinated or lacked flavor. I didn't get a knife to cut the meat so it was very difficult to enjoy a piece with my chilaquiles. It was hard to cut with a butter knife. I thought it would be a piece of steak but it was a piece of carne asada. Eggs were scrambled and cooked well. The whole plate was filling, had flavor, and was a good portion. The cafe de olla had a good flavor but a tad sweet for my preference. The space in here is a vibe. A fun place to enjoy large gatherings. I came for breakfast but will update when I come back to visit for dinner. Bathrooms are clean. Staff was welcoming and efficient in taking care of our group. Hospitality was a 10/10. Parking in the am was a breeze but at prime time I can see it being a complete nightmare so plan accordingly. I enjoyed my visit and will come back to check out the dinner menu.

Tasting the green (mild?) salsa was my favorite. It had a great tomatillo flavor with a creamy spiciness. It was a good reprieve from my main dish. A Paloma was my drink of choice this time. I'll preface this by saying I'm not a fan of tequila but when presented with the cold clay mug rimmed with salt and topped with orange and grapefruit, I was impressed. Covered with eggs (any style) fresh crema, avocado, and onions the chilaquiles exceeded my expectations. So simple yet so flavorful. Mixing up quantities of ingredients in each bite made for a delicious experience. My favorite element being the sharpness of the onions which cut the richness of the dish. I'm generally not a fan of refried beans but these ones had such a unique and satisfying flavor which complimented the dish well.
