    Taquitos de papa

Food- let me start by menu no prices, I ordered the taquitos dorados. I Asked the server if the plate will be served with rice and beans, she did no and it would be an extra charge for rice or beans. The plate came with rice and beans super small containers but I guess no charge? The salsa verde was good . I didn't try the other two salsas. The potato in the tacos was super salty. The rice was dry and no flavor same as beans no flavor and super dry. Service- I guess it was ok. Ambiance-place looks big not. Lot of tables, nice colors a big TV with no sound (my husband asked for a certain channel), no channel available not their fault but we were told that even if they had the channel tv has no sound. First thing I noticed. Place was empty. While we were there only two other customers (couples) walked in. I really didn't like the food and they trying to make this place like trendy and pricy. I think for 4 taquitos de papa it was kind of expensive.

Tacos so amazing after one bite your brain ceases to function except on one solitary level.......your conclusion is there is no way a taco could taste this delicious. Every part of your body is dedicated to the next bite of pure goodness. Al pastor is vibrant in color, red to an almost perfect shade. The guacamole just kisses the perfection. Very low key relaxed vibe only makes the place that much more satisfying. Counter lady was exceptional in her presence and overall good service. I'd honestly give this a 6 star if I had the opportunity

Now maybe I'm not the best judge of Mexican food, but regardless I enjoyed my burrito and ordered it with half red and half green sauce. The staff was great and very helpful. This was during a work lunch so I didn't try anything else, but I would go back again. Overall it was quiet and not a lot of people for a slightly late lunch. Enjoy

If you're chasing tacos that slap harder than your abuela's chancla, Tacos El Más CABRÓN is the spot. From the moment you roll up to this East LA gem, the energy is electric grills sizzling, music bumping, and a line of hungry locals who know what's up. I dove into their Costilla Cabrona and let me tell you, it's a carnivorous masterpiece. Smoky, tender, and unapologetically rich, it's the kind of rib taco that makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about street food. Their Papa Cabrona is another heavy hitter crispy, cheesy, and loaded with flavor that punches through every bite. The tortillas? Handmade and heavenly. The salsas? Vibrant, with just enough kick to make you sweat and smile. Bonus points for their horchata creamy, cinnamon kissed, and the perfect cooldown after a spice packed feast.

My husband saw a post on IG and we decided to check it out that week. Street parking was found with ease so that was a bonus. When we entered the restaurant, the lady at the counter was so friendly and offered suggestions on what to order. If you scan the QR code at the counter, you could get a free taco. We ordered an Al pastor wet burrito, costillas plate and a costillas taco. There are plenty of tables to sit at and an outdoor patio area. The place was clean, and smelled like they clean often. The food was brought out to us and the sauce on the wet burrito was slightly spicy and full of flavor. Not a lot of meat (see photo) but tasted good. Costillas had a smokey, grilled taste and the avocado sauce was a good addition to the plate. The staff really were what made the visit enjoyable. They were helpful and friendly.

Wish I could leave 0 stars! Nachos were $18.00 and they looked like this. Guacamole was brown and old. Cheese wasn't even nacho cheese more like shredded cheese that was melted in the microwave. Chicken had a very weird taste. Sopes were so hard. Cucumbers were old and dry. Agua pina was watered down. 0/10 I don't recommend!

We ordered the taquito plate the potatoes inside the taquitos taste sweet, rice has no flavor...taco de Langa was good. The taco de Cabeza was dry. The Ranchetta taco is good. Pastor was a little too well done for my taste, seems like they Cook my meat till the flavor was gone. Service was good for the most part...

Delicious hole in the wall with great ambiance. Limited vegetarian options, but still tasty (vegetarians in our party had the chile relleno burrito and the chilaquiles). Staff was friendly and accommodating. Parking is onsite and easy. All great things for a quick bite in LA.

I been wanting to try this place so today was the day. Barely a few customers for a Sunday afternoon. There is no one ahead of me, so I placed my order three tacos asada, pollo and costilla plus an asada sope. The cashier was super helpful, she welcomed me and also offered me some flan and jericalla. Kudos to the cashier. For an almost empty place 20min to receive my order was a lot, but on the meanwhile I enjoyed some music. The food was good but not great. Not much flavor on the meats, and the salsas were ok. They used the yellow tortilla and even though I'm not a bit fan of them I liked them, they were soft and warm. The sope was huge, but also no flavor at all from the carne asada. I'm sure people would love it but unfortunately I will not be coming back.

    Interior

FANTASTIC TACO JOINT!! I got costilla(pork rib) tacos and they were amazing! Spacious interior with a great vibe. Rear outdoor patio is also a surprising and cool space. And all with a friendly service. Def coming back

I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs. Parking is tricky since its street parking only.

Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

We found easy street parking in the neighborhood on 41st Street, and waited in line for about 15-20 minutes. We ordered the asada tacos. They pre-sauce your tacos, which was fine by me, but my boyfriend who can't handle as much spice would've preferred it on the side (so warning for anyone similar! they do put a little habanero on them, so just ask them for salsa on the side). I think I ran into a problem of reading too many raving reviews -- these tacos were good but I was expecting them to be mind blowing, so I was a little disappointed. I tasted the charcoal char, but kind of wished the taste was more pronounced, or at least the meat more seasoned. The hand made tortillas were definitely the coolest part, but I thought they were a little dry too. The ladies whipping those out are artists though. Actually, all the workers here have the assembly line down to the tea, and they definitely add a little flare for a show. I particularly liked how they had a lot of seating at this location, instead of just a couple stools lying around like most taco trucks. It felt more like outdoor patio seating than a normal taco stand. They could probably take more time to wipe down tables more often though. Overall would visit again if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for the tacos here.

Building each taco yourself made the experience even more fun, and the combination of the smoky fish, creamy beans, fluffy rice, tangy onions, and fresh tortillas was phenomenal. Another standout was the Scallop Aguachile. The portion of scallops was surprisingly generous, and the bright, tart sauce complemented the sweetness of the scallops perfectly. Easily one of the best aguachiles I've had. My fiancé ordered the seafood soup, and it was just as impressive. It was loaded with fish and shellfish, making it feel well worth the price. Yes, the line was long, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, constantly clearing finished plates and checking in to see if we needed anything else. It was my first visit so I had to get a mix of their tacos and burritos with the various meats they serve. It was a nice fact to know their tortillas have some lard also so it adds a nice flavor as well. + Burrito 2.0 (asada) + Chivichanga (chicken and beef) + Tacos (chorizo, tripe, cabeza, asada) I enjoyed the burrito with asada and thought it was good portion size for the cost. The guac, cheese, and beans pair well with the meat and has a nice grill on the tortilla. The tacos were a solid size as well but I was surprised to find the tripe as my favorite because they fry it and it adds a nice crunch/texture change. The cabeza was a close second with the stewed flavors. The chivichangas were also tasty but not the traditional chimichanga I was anticipating. It's definitely on the softer side as everything mixes together and there's not much of a texture change. Worth trying if you are curious though. I ordered to go so I didn't see if they have a salsa bar but I did have to pay $.10 per to go container which would be nice if they were free. However, I liked mixing their red and green salsa with each bite. I am curious to try their avocado salsa next time. Overall, I thought the portion sizes were good for the prices and I felt full afterwards.
