I had lunch at Tacos Flores today for the first time. Originally, I ordered the sour cream enchiladas; however, they ended up out of sour cream. The fact that I waited a bit until they told me this both annoyed me as well as ensured me that everything was freshly prepared. I ended up having the regular chicken enchiladas. They were very tasty and definitely made fresh. The chicken was firm and flavorful. The sauce didn't overpower the taste of the chicken while adding the right flavor, and the tortillas were very good. I liked that they weren't wet with sauce and juice like some enchiladas are which makes the tortillas mushy. There was a nice thick layer of white cheese on top. I'm guessing it was a blend of white cheddar and probably Monterey jack. These enchiladas were some of the better I've had and definitely stood out. The rice was very tasty and the refried beans were decent. I felt the portion could have been a bit larger, but it was still a fair amount. Additionally, they don't give you any chips, which I like to dip the refried beans. I was also a bit annoyed that it took too long to get my food, and it didn't seem to bother them much. They have bottled Mexican coke which I like. My total price was $10. Since I ordered at the counter and the only interaction I had with anybody was when they told me about the sour cream and when my food was brought to me, I didn't tip. This is my second time trying this place out. We used to enjoy going to Taqueria Arandas (now Jalisco's) on I-45 near the location of my old church. Since we moved to the Humble/Atascosita area, we were looking for a great TexMex breakfast place. Tacos Flores looks like a small house with seating inside and outside on the patio. The patio seating has 4 picnic tables. The menu has a pretty good variety for how small the place is. You order what you want, and they'll give you a number and deliver your food to you, or you can place an order to-go. The breakfast menu says until 10 am, but that's not true because we asked. I can't remember what I tried the last time, but I wasn't too impressed. This time, I ordered the potato and chorizo on corn tortilla and a cheese quesadilla on flour tortilla. Most of the tacos range from $1.50 - $2.50/ea. The potato and chorizo breakfast taco had great flavor, although the chorizo is oily, so be careful of getting oil on your clothes. I thought that there would be egg mixed with the chorizo and potato cubes since it was a breakfast taco, but there wasn't. I think it'd be 10 times better if it did. The potato cubes were huge, soft, and had great seasoning, as well. Most places just put plain potato cubes. The corn tortilla wasn't too thin. I really liked it. I'm starting to prefer corn tortilla over flour, but sometimes you just need flour tortilla for certain tacos. The cheese quesadilla was small for what it was, but it was still good. They serve the tacos with red and green sauce. To me, the green tasted spicier than the red. The red is good if you want a tomato base. The green is more earthy with all the jalapenos. This place is crowded during breakfast times, and the parking lot is small. Make your own parking, as long as you're not blocking anyone else. read more

I'm first generation Mexican and this is the one spot on this side of town I will go to for some authentic Mexican food. Ya, there's a bit of a wait but it's not fast food, it's good food if you want your food fast I would recommend calling it in. The environment is so nice! It's like Mexican meets American culture. The best sour cream enchiladas in Humble. Good service, friendly staff, great food. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner Taco Flores does not dissapoint. Brake fast tacos are 1.50 a piece, meat tacos are 2! You can't go wrong with the prices or flavor. The have some amazing refried beans, and they give you a lot when you ask for beans on the tacos. The tacos are "muy delusional" I suggest to order in. There is one register and a small kitchen, so the line is always long and the food takes some time. We always would come for dine in breakfast and they always brought complimentary chips and salsa to our table while we waited. Lately the wait time has just gotten longer and longer (to order and to wait for the food) and now they say they want to charge for chips and salsa. Don't get me wrong the food is good but with the wait time getting longer and no more complimentary chips and salsa while you wait, it's just not worth it to come anymore. I'd also like to note after speaking with the "manager" Luz I was just left with a bad taste in my mouth from this place. Also, while we waiting for our food they started bringing out orders that were a higher number than ours and took forever to bring our order out. I visited taco Flores on a Sunday. Not many people there, maybe 2 people in line in front of me. I get in line and stand there for 30 minutes because the cashier kept leaving her station. On top of that I had to sit in their uncomfortable wooden chairs for almost 3 hours waiting for 4 tacos. I tried to ask several times where my food was, but there were no employees to be seen in the front, but occasionally someone would open the door to the back and you could see 10-12 employees just standing around. Got there at 9-10 and ended up leaving at around 1 because I already paid for it and couldn't find an employee to ask for my money back. Would not recommend coming here if you don't want to waste hours of your time just waiting. read more

We came on a Sunday and they close at 2:00pm. My wife got the Gotditas, one chicken and one beef. Really good! Very flavorful meat in both. The green sauce was hot and creamy. I got the beef street tacos and the charro beans were amazing. Chips and queso very fresh and tasty. We will for sure be back! Would love to see them get a drink fountain. This place is legit ! I've only had their breakfast tacos but damn, they were amazing ! You can tell these are authentic Mexican made flour tortillas and flavorful very well seasoned meat. Read alot of reviews about this shop and was let down by the inability to be apart of the hype. One weekend after the rush of breakfast, me and two others decided to give this place a try. First impressions were pretty positive; clean, spacious and a full house with no lines. Before my order could be placed, the unconcerned and brash cashier handling orders was a turn off. We waited 15mins. without acknowledgement. After we approached staff it was still another 5mins before the young lady got off her phone.
