The food is delicious and the portions are big. Plus service is top notch. Highly recommended

Food: The carne asada had lots of hard bits (not just mine, the entire fam was complaining), and their carne asada fries were beyond soggy because they use a very wet salsa and nacho cheese which just sort of makes the fries a big weird blob. The flavor was there, but the soggy mixed with the having to spit out hard meat pieces every third bite just sort of killed it. Service: Honestly, I feel bad because the service was good! The folk working there were friendly and keeping the pace. Ambiance: The place was clean, the tables were freshly washed as was the restroom. Today I walked in as a first time customer and tried their nachos. I ordered the steak and added a side of chicken to the nachos. Honestly, the best freaking nachos I've had in such a long time. I'm not gonna lie. It was a bit skeptical, but I have heard from a few people that this restaurant has really good food and that's why I gave it a try and honestly, I don't regret it. Il I'll definitely be back and customer service was friendly. They are very busy. as far as ambience, I would give it about a 6.5 out of a 10 only because it does seem like an older place but usually those are the best spots and like I said best nachos I've had in a very long time, you will not regret it very tasty. read more

This place sucks. I specifically asked for a carne asada burrito with no onions or cilantro, and beans and rice. I got a carne asada burrito with cilantro and rice, and it was so spicy that neither me or my husband could eat it. I tried to take it back and get a refund, and they refused becuz it was 9:11pm....11 minutes after they closed. With the $15 they charged me for this burrito I could've went and gotten something edible, but now I have to wait another day to eat. Having tried nearly all the tacos here, my ratings of them are as follows: 1. Taco de lengua 4.5/5, small taco packed with tender lengua meat, i prefer green salsa 2. Taco de Carne Asada 4/5, small taco packed with carne asada meat, I prefer with green salsa 3. Taco de pescado 3.5/5 small taco, lightly grilled/battered pieces of fish fill this taco 4. Chicken taco 3/5 small pieces of grilled chicken fill the taco up nice. Maybe add some more spice or flavor to the chicken to help the chicken taco stand out more? 5. Veggie taco 3/5 packed with lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Maybe go lighter on the sour cream? All in all, Tacos San Pedro offers delicious Mexican food and in my perspective, they excel best in their lengua and carne asada meats. Ps. I've been coming to this spot for over 20 years. It used to be one of my favorite local Mexican restaurants--especially for their flautas. They were always crispy, full of meat, and seriously delicious. But sadly, things have changed. On my most recent visit, I ordered my usual flautas and was shocked. The tortillas were so small and paper-thin, and there was barely any meat inside. I was really hungry and left completely disappointed. What's worse is how much they nickel and dime you now. Want a little extra salsa? That's a charge. Paying with a debit card? Another charge. It feels like they're squeezing every dollar out of customers while cutting corners on quality. Have been a patron here for many years and the flautas have always been my go-to order during a time crunch. They have always been packed to the size of the take out box pictured below but today the flautas were barely 3/4 of the size they used to be - at the same price point. Pretty disappointing to see. The service is absolutely terrible they do not quality control at all we got all the way home to determine that the $12 carne asada quesadilla had no carne asada my son was starving so he was heated we go all the way back and they have a total attitude inspecting the quesadilla like we took the asada out or something they make another one and hand to us no apology no sorry for the inconvenience nothing. First time yesterday, and I ordered the flautas (6 piece) with asada. It was $11 I believe, and so freaking delicious. Crunchy, generous with the asada, and very good! Went a couple hours later to try the nachos with asada, and the chips are fresh and crunch. Only con was there's not too much chips but overall it was good. BEWARE !! SHADY BUSINESS !! Don't say you haven't been warned .. no where on the menu do you see "fee charged for CC use", and besides that the food was terrible. I ordered nachos with chicken and requested added guacamole at the drive thru. Pulled up to the OPEN window and used my CC, when the window cashier gave me my card and receipt, she slammed the window shut, which definitely got my attention. Well now I see the verbiage that states a service fee would be charged for using a CC. Was not told prior or given an option to pay cash only after the fact that I had already paid. That's so rude. Then my nachos were an absolute mess and a joke of added guacamole, which I paid extra for. It was hardly a small dollop in the corner under the chips, are you kidding I paid extra for that. The food is excellent, and the staff is generally friendly, but there's one female employee who often works the drive-thru and cash register who makes the experience uncomfortable. It feels as though she's doing me a huge favor by taking my order, and I often feel rushed, especially when she nearly rolls her eyes as I'm speaking. I'm not a slow customer, but her attitude definitely impacts the experience. I really hope the OWNERS TAKE NOTICE and immediately address this, because despite the great food, it's making me hesitant to return. When I'm helped by a different employee, the experience is much more pleasant! I'm giving 4 stars, mainly because of the food's taste and quality, but honestly, that only goes so far. It's been almost three years since I last had some floutas. A lot has changed. First is the high prices. The pricing is up almost 70% plus the floutas seem smaller . There was less meat as well. I was a bit surprised overall. Next time I have a craving for floutas I will go to the frozen section of the grocery store. This has become a family staple for us. We are obsessed with the flautas here. Crunchy and flavorful. This might be my mom's favorite restaurant. 8/10 times you ask her if she wanted to go out and grab a bite she'd bring up this place. And honestly we don't mind because we all love it. Beef flautas, beef milanesa, torte cubano, and al pastor tacos are our usual. As of October 2021 they are take out only. Hint: For the flautas, ask them to keep the toppings on the side. This way your flautas aren't soggy by the time you get home. UPDATE: Indoor dining has resumed as of July 2022. read more

They are small kind of soggy reminded me of the frozen ones from the market .. .... The tacos for almost $4 each are just street tacos you can get anywhere for a couple bucks ...
