    SAUSAGE AND PEPPERS

Located in the plaza where stater bros is across from the regal theater. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here on a Saturday at 4pm and they were fully booked for dine in but had some seating outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is pretty small with about 5 tables inside and 6 outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food came out pretty quick. Sauces were homemade and rich. - creamy pesto penne with chicken (5/5) - complimentary garlic bread (3/5) - sausage and peppers with pink sauce (3.5/5) - Italian meatballs (4/5)

I've been on an Italian food kick for about 2 weeks. We were going to see a performance at the Nixon Library and this little gem was right down the street. I was thrilled that there was still an open table INSIDE, because it was still pretty warm outside at 7:15pm. Service was amazing, but the food?? OMG! Everyone raved about their meals. I don't live in the area, but want to come back soon because the food was SOLID and portions were generous! They close early which is perfect too!

Sister Sicily in Yorba Linda was such a great find. We were starving after drinks with friends and needed something nearby--Yelp came through, and we decided to give it a shot. First time here, not knowing what to expect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is cute and cozy, and the team was super friendly and patient while we figured out what to order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went with the creamy pesto chicken pasta (penne), the alla vodka with chicken, and a calzone with pepperoni and artichoke. What we should have asked about? Portion sizes. When the food came out, our eyes basically popped out--these plates are HUGE. Not complaining though... we're big leftover people, and this place absolutely delivered. We got multiple meals out of it, and everything held up just as well the next day. Oh--and we got the tiramisu for dessert ;P Definitely the right call. Safe to say, we've already been recommending Sister Sicily to family. Great food, generous portions, and a spot we'll definitely be back to.

    BBQ CHICKEN Pizza (Med)

Got a pizza to go from here. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The flavor balance was perfect -- smoky, slightly sweet, and savory all at once. They were very generous with the toppings, and every slice was loaded with chicken and fresh ingredients. Nothing skimpy here. The dough was made perfectly -- soft on the inside, crisp on the outside, and not too thick or too thin. You can tell it's made with care. Definitely recommend if you're craving a really satisfying, well-made pizza. I'll absolutely be coming back.

After being highly recommended from coworkers, I had to check this place out. It's located in a large shopping plaza and is easy to miss if you're not looking for it. I went on a Friday around noon, and we just barely beat the lunch rush. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are a few seats outside, but we chose to sit indoors. The interior is pretty small, and you wouldn't expect them to fit a full seating area, but they managed to squeeze in quite a few tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]By the time our food arrived, every table was full.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was only one waitress, but since there weren't too many tables, she was able to take our order quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It also felt like a family-owned business, especially with a family photo displayed on the wall, which added a nice personal touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with the cheesy garlic bread, which was thin, cut into small pieces, and not very filling. It wasn't overly garlicky, and the cheese flavor stood out more than anything else. I ordered the chicken pomodoro, and it was a delicious choice! The portion size was huge, and for a little over $20 per dish, they definitely didn't skimp. The wine sauce was creamy and well-spiced, the chicken was tender, and the flavors were balanced without being overwhelming. From the meat to the pasta, everything was cooked perfectly, and the dish had a homemade quality that jarred sauces wouldn't be able to replicate. Others got the spaghetti and meatballs (huge meatballs!) and the sausage and peppers, both of which were said to be really good. Definitely on my list to try next time. So glad to have found a local Italian spot!

Small, Cozy, Big on Flavor . Sister Sicily is one of those hidden-gem spots that feels like it's letting you in on a delicious little secret. Small and intimate, the kind of place where you can actually hear your conversation and smell the garlic before your food even hits the table. Perfect place for a girls catchup session. I went with the chicken limonite which was bright, lemony, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with love. The bruschetta was fresh and generous, the kind that makes you wonder why something so simple can taste so good. My girlfriend ordered the calamari and chicken Parmesan, and both were hits: crispy, comforting, and very much not shy on portion size. Speaking of portions... come hungry. Sister Sicily does not believe in small plates or leaving you wondering where the rest of your meal went. This is cozy, hearty Italian food that wants you full and happy. If you're looking for a warm, relaxed place with solid food, generous servings, and that neighborhood-Italian vibe, Sister Sicily delivers. Small space, big plates, zero regrets.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE first and LAST impression!!!! My family and I were in town over the weekend visiting family and I was in charge of looking for a restaurant for dinner. And since my mother Inlaw loves Italian food, I googled and landed on this place. And man let me tell you, my opinion isn't just my normal, " I'm Italian from New York" view, it the opinion of my whole family. Every appetizer I ordered was disappointing. Even my two year old spat out his bite of their cheese bread. The garlic bread looked old and reheated. The cheese bread was rubbery. The calamari was burnt and tasted like it was fried in old oil. My mother in law did really enjoy her Philly sandwich. All our other pasta dishes were good enough. Definitely nothing special with no stand out flavors. Bottom line, a bill of almost two hundred dollars was not worth it to me. Not only will we never return when we're ever back in town, I don't recommend them at all!

Came here for my birthday dinner. My friends arrived before me and were sitting at a table outside so I never went inside but they told me it was jarringly small. There were two or three tables outside. Our server was really great and patient because my friends and I immediately got caught up in chatting and celebrating ME that he came around to take our orders several times and we were unprepared every time. They're known for their vodka sauce so my friend got the penne with that and she added a bunch of stuff to it. I got the eggplant parm with vodka sauce and regular marinara on my noodles and my third friend got the Cajun chicken and shrimp with asparagus. We also had bread, calamari, and shared their top pizza that started with an A but i can't remember right now. I thought all the food was awesome. The pizza was especially a favorite for everyone. My friend was a little disappointed her vodka sauce seemed to break and separate and it definitely had a different taste and texture than mine which was weird. The only thing I would have changed is I wish they served cocktails!

Vodka pasta - tasted like you are just eating garlic

I went with a friend on a Tuesday night. We were greeted within a few minutes of walking in. We were seated at the last table next to the restrooms. The odor was terrible. I can smell the old urine smell by our table and pretty disgusting to smell that while trying to enjoy your dinner. The bathroom needs very deep cleaning to get rid of the odor. How can you set a table that close in proximity to the bathroom and whoever walks to go to the bathroom I had to keep moving my chair. We got the Caesar salad, vodka pasta and gnocchi pesto pasta. The vodka pasta had so much garlic that it overpowered the rest of the flavor and really wasn't enjoyable. The peso gnocchi was so heavy dough and dull tasting that I would entirely skip it next time. Caesar salad was brought with warm chicken which I found odd. Overall I didn't enjoy the experience. The food didn't taste good and the smell of the bathroom was pretty gross. On a positive note Mathew was our server and he did a great job! He was very attentive and answered any questions we had. I wouldn't return. The food just wasn't good.

This was a cozy and relaxing spot for a dinner date after rotations. Tucked between Sushi Noguchi and Stater Bros in Yorba Linda, it's unassuming from the outside but has a warm, intimate vibe inside. Seating only runs along one wall indoors and was already full (this is a Thursday at 6pm) so we sat outside. Fortunately the weather was nice, but I can see seating becoming an issue during dinner rush. Portions are generous and satisfying. We split an appetizer, salad, and entree, and still had leftovers. * Meatball Appetizer: These are the same meatballs served with the spaghetti. We actually ordered them after our entree because we wanted more meatballs with our spaghetti. I like the plating of this dish and the looks added to how appetizing it was. * Caesar Salad: A solid portion with plenty of croutons and Parmesan. I appreciated that the dressing was served on the side so we could adjust to taste. * Spaghetti and Meatballs: This is your classic and hearty spaghetti and meatballs dish. It comes with 2 meatballs which are really large and the dish itself is big enough to share. You can tell the meatballs are homemade, which added a nice touch. * Garlic Bread: This comes with dining in and was one of my favorites. It was crispy, and you could taste the garlic and parmesan. Our server (Suzy, I think? Sorry!) was super kind and attentive. She helped us navigate the menu and checked in often. We had a lot of questions about portion sizing (trying to strategize what we wanted to split) and she was so patient and kind answering all of our questions. Overall, it's a solid choice for a casual meal. Nothing particularly stood out as a must-try, but everything was well done and the atmosphere was welcoming. Would return for a relaxed dinner.

Penne a la vodka with sausage
    Brianne L.

Came here to try Italian food after having seen the recommendation. The food was A-okay! I ordered the penne the sausage and it was good. We also ordered bread and it was good. I had wine, which was okay, and the service was also good. The space is quite small, so if you plan on coming at a popular time, I'd recommend making a reservation. +1 point for donating food for Thanksgiving meals

My son and I both ordered seafood pastas. He and I both ordered the clams with linguine. He got the parma rosa sauce will I got the traditional wine sauce. The meal also came with a soup or salad. Since it was a hot day, we both picked salad. One of our favorite parts of the meal was the bread. Not sure if it was on purposes but the bread basket came with both thin slices and thick slices. And don't forget the garlic infused butter. So yumm! As for parking, the restaurant is in a small strip center and only a few stores were open when we arrived so there was plenty of parking.

Lemon caper sauce over capellini with chicken is very flavorful. But the tiramisu was perfect! One of the best I ever had. The fried zucchini appetizer was soggy. They sliced it up like a pickle and should have cut it like stick. Avoid in my opinion. The calamari appetizer was good, but not great. The Creamy Arrabbiata was too spicy for me and I just didn't care for the sauce. I wouldn't get again. The chicken was diced up so small it was hard to find and the vegetables just didn't match the dish. I gave 4 stars for the 2 good dishes.

My parents got the artisan pizza and the arugula salad with salmon and said it was delicious, especially raving about the dressing for the salad and the wonderful amount of meat on the pizza I got the wood fired mushroom pizza and it was soooo good. My sister originally chose Terra because she saw a picture of one of their salads with salmon and knew immediately that was what she wanted. We had no idea we were about to discover a new favorite restaurant. 10/10 -- I've already bookmarked Terra because I will absolutely be back. When we arrived, we told our server we had never been there before and asked what she recommended. Her descriptions of the food were fantastic, and she steered us toward the wood-grilled peaches with burrata and arugula. Oh. My. Goodness. Absolutely delicious! The grilled peaches, creamy burrata and arugula were such a wonderful combination. Then the salad came out, with salmon added. I took my first bite and was literally speechless. It was an explosion of flavor -- the avocado, salmon, sesame dressing and everything else going on in that salad just worked. The salmon costs extra, but it was absolutely worth it. The peach dish and the salad were completely different flavor experiences, and honestly I would happily order both of them again. We were talking about how we were gonna come back and try to resist ordering the same thing over again, but that will be a challenge. Of course, we were at a wood-fired pizza restaurant, so we HAD to try the pizza. We ordered half-and-half. One side was the fingerling potato pizza, especially after our server told us the story about the owner's daughter wanting fingerling potatoes on her pizza and how that helped inspire the restaurant. Obviously, after hearing that story, we had to try the pizza that started it all! And it did not disappoint. I can definitely see myself ordering that again. The other half was the salami pizza with the honey drizzle. It was supposed to have some heat -- my sister could taste it, although I couldn't -- and the honey made it a really interesting combination. Not something I would normally think to order, but definitely worth trying. I also ordered the citrus agave, thinking it was basically a fancy name for lemonade. It wasn't! Lemon, orange and lime made it much more interesting, with just a slight bitterness from the citrus that balanced the sweetness. Delicious and different. We sat upstairs, where there was a wonderful breeze coming through on a summer evening. The whole atmosphere was charming and relaxed, the service was excellent, and the food was memorable. The biggest surprise? Terra is right near my office, and I never knew it was there. Definitely a 10/10. I came because of a recommendation, and now I'm recommending it to everyone else. I will absolutely be back.

We got there right when they opened at 4pm, and were sat right away by our server at a nice table against the wall. The music was all instrumental super chill vibe in the background as it should be, classic and traditional Italian style mandolin stuff and very relaxing. Romantic even. But let's talk about the food. This is what it looks like when the kitchen takes pride in their work. Absolutely 5 stars on quality, presentation, temperature, texture and balance. The sauces worked perfectly with our respective meals - I ordered the Penne Pesto Chicken and it was quite possibly one of the best pesto sauces I have ever had. The soup on special was a crafted delight of a Toscana style cream base and was simply beautiful with potato, kale, white beans and ground sausage. My wife had a black and white fettuccini with a lobster tail and shrimp in a spicy marinara sauce. You can feel the authenticity of a scratch kitchen in the sauces. They even make the bread in house. We knew it would be too much, but we ordered the zucchini special and it was another thing on the list that just fired on all cylinders. Perfect batter around zucchini flower and ricotta cheese, with marinara on the plate and a beautiful presentation. The service was flawless. The server was charming, smooth, and confident in his recommendations. He suggested a wine that was matched beautifully to the whole meal. Even the f***ing oil and vinegar bottle was sexy. COME ON. The only reason we didn't get dessert was that we were totally stuffed. Took food home, but if we didn't get the app and soup, the portion is perfect. locked in for this place. 100% will return.

I think I was a little hesitant because in my head I was thinking how good could possibly really be? In my head spaghetti/pasta is something I can make it home and almost thought it a waste of money to go out of my way to go out specifically to eat this dish. I ordered the Arrabiata pasta with the sausage. I'll admit I was a little thrown off by added cost of each tolling and also added cost of the Arrabiata sauce and I also did wait until a fair amount before the food was ready for takeout. But the pasta really blew me away. I'm still thinking about how good it tasted. I would definitely come back and I actually wanna bring my dad who loves spicy pasta like this. It was really that good. I can't think of another place that has this level of pasta let alone this price. The only negative I would say in regards to one of the workers. The cashier was manned by wonderful woman who did every and all tasks from taking the orders to putting food items in the oven to answering the phone I'm probably much more than that. I don't know. In contrast there was an Asian man with a black shirt who was also working. He looked lost and completely helpless. There was a moment where this woman was so busy and there was a ringing that I assume was from either a phone call or a delivery order. This man did not offer to help more nor did he help from what I saw. He was utterly helpless and unhelpful. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with the encouragement "Hey help your team out!" The woman on the other hand was doing so many things simultaneously and yet was really kind at the same time.
