Tacos Selene is a hidden gem near Denver Downtown!! It was located in one of the busy lanes over looking the beautiful downtown. As I walked in around 4 pm with family, we were the only ones in and then as the day progressed, more people came in for an early dinner! Clean, little rustic looking, Walls filled with fun graphics, kind staff, fun looking bathroom signs (women's) is how I will describe this restaurant. We ordered tacos - al pastor, carne asada, chicken, shredded beef, Adobada (pork without pineapple) and smothered marinated pork Burrito. Loved all the dishes and the clear winner for us was the Adobada meat (marinated pork). Every single bite was flavorful, juicy and tender. The seasoning was just right without it being overpowering. Both the Tacos and the gooey Burrito were filled with lots of meat - honestly, it was simple and satisfying without it being too greasy. Pricing was very affordable for the food portions and the food quality you get here. This is definitely an authentic spot you want to visit whenever you are in the mood to eat Mexican food - simple high quality food. Highly recommended and a spot I will always return to whenever I visit Denver next time.

Food was good not to spicy. Chicken tacos slightly under seasoned. Steak tacos definitely some of the better ones that I have had. Very popular place with local residents. The staff was friendly and polite. One side had great natural light when one side was a little darker. Vivid painting on one wall but honestly we are here for the food. At the level that I would come back again but not at the level to make it one of my regular places. The salsa bar would be a complete waste on Ryan because of his sensitive tummy. Food came out suspicious fast for really fresh food.

The best tacos of my life! I live in CA- and I can't believe that the best tacos I've had are here in Aurora. Everything about the tacos is perfection- 1. The tortilla is absolutely delicious on its own, I am a great cook and this tortilla elevated the taco experience. The meats- all of them so flavorful and good, the veggies are all crunchy and the salsas are 100 on my list. I think these are better than tacos el gordo in Tijuana, or any other tacos I have had in LA and OC - to help you give you a reference.

nachos use velveta type cheese. mediocre at best. Reminiscent of 711 nachos but with a higher price

We wanted to try a new taco spot and decided to ordered tacos Selene to go. My husband got the smothered burrito which was seriously massive! The green chile was really good. I ordered beans, an adobada taco, barbacoa taco, al pastor sope and carne asada sope. My favorite was the barbacoa taco. I had high hopes for the sopes bc I hadn't had one in so long but they were just okay. If I went back I would definitely order the barbacoa again!

A 1/2 egg breakfast burrito. Driest ever, and tastes like ingredients were sitting around for days.

No, no lamb. They have Asada, Adobada, Lengua, Barbacoa, Alpastor, Pollo, and Tripe.

Is this the same owner as the Tacos Selene in Aurora?

    Yes they are.

Do they serve drinks here and if so, is there a happy hour?

Not yet, but they told me a liquor license for wine & beer is in the works

I don't remember what I ordered though so at the time it just wasn't very stand out-ish. I recently went back with some friends because I told them I was in the mood for tacos. I tried a few different ones, the Carnitas, the Barbacoa, and the Lengua. I was full with three, but it was so good. I ordered a fourth and my husband who normally gets my leftovers - didn't get any leftovers from me this time! He got a couple different tacos from what I had largely. We ordered about the same, but he got the shrimp which he said was delicious as well. I also tried the signature, Bellanova margarita - I must say that was a little unexpected, not your traditional margarita it was very sweet, so probably not something I'd order again since I prefer stronger tasting drinks, but the coconut flavor in it was delicious if you like coconut. The service was excellent! When we arrived, the interior was super packed and super loud so I was very relieved when we got to sit on the back patio, which turned out great because even though there was a little noise there, we were able to hear each other much better. The server was excellent. She kept checking on us. She answered all our questions and was very kind and accommodating. I've been thinking about the tacos since then, it's been about a week, I can't wait to go back.

I ordered the quesadilla with carne asada and it came with two sides of sour cream, one mild salsa, and one hot salsa. It also came with garnish on the side of lettuce and tomatoes. The quesadilla was very good it had cheese, carne asada, onions, and some other peppers. It was not super spicy but definitely had a lot of flavor in my opinion. The cheese was extremely rich and made for a great quesadilla! The burger was very good, it came with a big side of fries that were very seasoned! The fries had a lot of salt, pepper, and other spices on it. I love salty food and thought it was perfect. But some people might think it was too much so you may want to ask light salt or no seasoning at all. The burger was very good and every bite had great flavor with the smack sauce, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and onion. I enjoyed both items that I ordered and had plenty left over to eat later. It was a little pricey as I paid $28 for the quesadilla and burger but it was reasonably priced for the portion size and quality of the food. I just expect things to be a little cheaper when it comes to food trucks. The service was very good, I had an older Hispanic couple running the truck when I visited and they were very kind, professional, and put love into the food. The ambiance is cool, I mean it is a food truck with no seating. They have some chairs outside but no table. They also sell drinks, the options that I saw were Coke and Pepsi. I would definitely give snack daddy's a try if you are around downtown Littleton and want to support this small business. I will definitely be back to try some more of the menu.

We have eaten here several times, and the food & service is typically fine. I wouldn't say it is the best I have had, but it is flavorful. Margaritas here are very sweet, and the tequila flavor was nonexistent. I have ordered Carne asada the past two times we have visited, and it was VERY tough (could barely chew it tough), they ask how you would like it cooked, but it doesn't matter- it is going to be served well done, which adds to the toughness of the meat. This past visit I asked to substitute the jalapenos for onions; I was charged $2.50! We also asked for more chips for the table and were charged $1.50. I understand food cost, so I do understand that charge. HOWEVER, I can go to any grocery store and purchase an entire 2lb. bag of organic onions for $2.89, so $2.50 for what looked like an eighth to a quarter of an onion was a bit steep, and if you are going to charge for SUBSTITUTING onion should you not refund for taking the jalapeno off? *This place will no longer be in the Mexican food rotation; there are better places out there where one doesn't get nickel and dimed for average at best food.
