Expect a straight up, no frills tacqueria at TT. Street style tacos with perfectly cooked carne asada (beef) or al pastor (pork). That's it, no chicken or shrimp, they keep it simple so it's done right. The corn tortillas are a bit thicker and fluffier so they don't double up on the tortillas like other places do. It's different, but good. Other food menu items: vampiro which is like a taco but on a tostada. Quesadilla, which you can add your choice of meat if you want no charge. I personally think the quesadilla (made with a flour tortilla and pastor) was the REAL MVP! Drinks are served Mexico style, u know the signature Cola in a bottle. Horchata made in house and is sweet/refreshing. Taco Tuesday will drop the price of a taco from $1.75 to $1.40, so expect a line and limited seating. 2 different salsas one mild, one hot. All tacos come with guac, cilantro, onion on top, limes on the side unless you tell them otherwise. My 2 cents: Wish they served rice and beans to make it feel like a full meal. Wish they had regular hot sauce in addition to salsa, sup with some Tapatio? If you're claustrophobic, recommend going during slower times of the day. I placed an order via Yelp and received confirmation stating that the order would be ready around 5pm. I arrived at the location off Greenfield at 5:05pm and the cashier told me that my order would be ready soon. Five customers later I walked up to the counter and ask about my order. Thirty minutes had passed. She turns around to grab it from behind her and hand it to me. At this point I did not want it anymore and requested a refund. I was told that the request must be made online. Not paying attention to your customers shows me that they are not interested in repeat business. This is just bad service. We love Tacos Tijuana! I can eat half dozen and then feel guilty We always go with the pastor meat, easy onion and then add in a little medium salsa for the flavor and some hot salsa for the heat. Really great tacos! The carne asada tacos aren't too bad either. This place can get really busy at the lunch and dinner rush hour times. If you want to have some tacos for your taco Tuesday tradition, you might be waiting for half hour or longer for your order. If the place is busy we usually put in our order then walk over to the wally world in the same parking lot and do a little shopping and usually we time it just right when we get back to the taco shop to pick up our order. This place is the cat's meow!! Pretty great tacos for AZ; we recently moved here from Cali and I'm thrilled to know there are actually good tacos/Mexican food in this area. The Al Pastor is that good, tacos and mulitas were delicious. The asada wasn't as wonderful but still tasty. The tortillas and condiments are fresh although the mild salsa in the squeeze bottle was way too runny. The hot one has much better consistency and good heat.
