Placed an order via phone on my way to the restaurant and was ready when I showed up. Fast service is always a plus! Staff were nice and inviting. I order the chicken and beef tacos with rice/beans. The woman working the front was extremely rude. My boyfriend and I came in planning to eat and used the restroom first. While I was waiting for him, I noticed she was giving me a very nasty look. When my boyfriend briefly stepped outside to grab his wallet so we could order, she sharply said, "Next time, restrooms are for customers only." The whole restaurant heard it and it was very embarrassing and low class. Because of her attitude, we decided not to stay and instead ate at the restaurant across the street. Had this place bookmarked & have driven by it many times. Taco Elegante's claims to serve up "the best carne asada tacos in town" so this was the reason we wanted to give it a shot. Came in last night close to 8PM and decided to order "to go". They do have some seating available inside for dine in customers, but unfortunately noticed their salsa bar was empty! Doesn't look to even be in use? This should have been a sign.. Ordered their Carne Asada burrito which my husband specifically asked what came inside the burrito. The woman at the counter said it comes with pico de gallo & guacamole. He was happy to hear that as some places add the additional fillers such as rice /beans etc. I chose the beef enchilada combination plate. The nice thing about that is the choices beef, chicken or cheese are all the same price. We also got a carne asada taco cause "you know"! Wait for our meal wasn't long. There was only a family of four dinning inside. When we got home all was packed & presented nicely. That was the best part. The Carne Asada Burrito was $10.85 and was not the size it should have been; plus it didn't have one dollop of guacamole! The taco was average at $4.95 more fresh pico than actual meat & majorly skimpy on that guacamole. There was zero marinade flare to the meat. The combo plate was the best choice as far as the price, but still $12.50?! The enchilada sauce was bland and lots of shredded lettuce as more of a garnish and not needed. Rice and beans had no affect on the tastebuds. The salsas red/green are really watered down and have not one bit of flavor or heat. Our bill was $29.75 for three items, NO drinks! Super disappointing with the cost, craving completely cancelled and didn't even eat half of my meal 'cause it just missed the mark. Time for another installment of The Great Taco Journey. I was hungry for a breakfast burrito and decided to give this restaurant a chance. Very clean inside a little on the small side. But I was impressed by how busy it was at 10:00 in the morning on a Sunday. I ordered a sausage and egg burrito made fresh. Came hot off the grill. It was very flavorful and I would definitely recommend it. I know what you're thinking, but Mark why would you order a taco at 10:00 in the morning on a Sunday? Because I always am hungry for a taco lol. I got the adobada soft taco. I was very impressed with the flavor and freshness of the taco. Just the right amount of heat brought by the seasoning on the taco. Plenty of adobada on the taco. I will definitely be back to try some other items on the menu. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Wanted to check out some new tacos places so based on reviews we decided to go here. We got mini tacos carne asada doe the kids and the regular size tacos for myself and the hubby. First the regular tacos are HUGE!!! I got Al pastor, carne asada, chicken and carnitas. I got it with pico and guacamole. Also got chips and salsa. Chips are hot and fresh. The salsas are so tasty! Not super spicy on the more mild ones. My fav salsa was the ones that came with the chips. My fav taco was the carnitas cause they fry the meat and it's crispy! Carne asada was close second. This place was so disappointing. The food wasn't good. The biggest frustration was my sons food. An egg and cheese burrito was 8.00 and he was still hungry for another and he's only 9 years old if that says anything. It's was meager and it looked like it was very over cooked egg and it was not anything authentic with the tortilla even. I could've gone to the grocery store and got the same tortilla so it's not even something homemade. I wouldn't recommend spending your money going here and unfortunately I wasted mine today. As a result of Covid, this is another place that just takes advantage. Look for a real taco shop with value and freshness. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting this location a few days ago right as the place had opened. This location was a bit of a drive but worth it as I wanted a good burrito for breakfast and Yelp kindly provide me with this place. Pros: my burrito had a nice portion of filling. chips were freshly made. Cons: upon me entering the cook appeared to be cleaning with blue gloves and a scrubbing pad and I did not see him change those same blue gloves while preparing my food. It did not kill me so I guess all is good! The burrito only came with meat, pico and guacamole I was charged .60 cents for each additional item...cheese, rice and beans so it added up fast! Now would I drive across town again, no...unless I have the need for another morning burrito run! If I am on that side of town I will absolutely stop by! read more

Gotta tell ya, I'm pleasantly surprised just how GOOD their food is! It's becoming my go to for burritos, 2-3 times week. Had the carne asada, carnitas and green chili. Carne asada is really good and comparable to Los Favoritos. Carnitas was good but a little dry, used generous portions of their homemade green sauce (very good). But the GREEN CHILI is the BOMB!! The burritos are delicious; I would highly recommend the adobada burrito with beans and rice added. The chips and salsa are also very flavorful.
