Las carnitas están ricas eso que no que pero el servicio muy lento!! A si que vengan con suficiente tiempo para esperar y antes de tener mucha hambre ya que siempre hay una persona para tomar órdenes y expirarlas

Carnitas Quesadilla ($6.99). Was it greasy? Most definitely a pool. Was the cheese and meat delicious? yes!

I think I'll give this place 3.5 stars...this spot if for you if (a) you love carnitas and (b) you don't mind the grease! I think this may have been previously a fast food joint or something, so there are a few parking spots just for the joint. It's not the nicest part of town, but not bad during the day. They don't really have too many choices for other meats (chicken, lamb) except on weekends, so I would definitely come here mainly if you are a carnitas fan. We ended up getting 3 carnitas tacos ($8.25 for 3) and a carnitas quesadilla ($6.99). Only one person was in front of us with a takeout order, but we definitely had to wait closer to 20 minutes--slightly longer than usual for the standard mexican fare. When they finally came out, the tacos were piled with hand chopped carnitas, and the quesadilla was huge and oozing with cheese. The carnitas were definitely yummy--salty, soft, tender, and a good balanced amount of fatty bits! The quesadilla was definitely sitting in a pool of grease, While it was delicious, I did start thinking it was too much after 1/2 of it. The tacos also dripped grease but less. I think next time I might but just the carnitas by the pound and make my own tacos to tease out some of that grease. They also make chicharrones here! I didn't think I could stomach it after the carnitas but worth mentioning for those interested!

There was a bit of a translation issue at first, but it got sorted out. I got the tacos and quesadillas. Both were ok, nothing special. Spicy orange salsa was great. Not the best carnitas in Vallejo, they're not even the best carnitas on Tennessee st. Older man with glasses took over on my order because the young girl didn't understand me too well. I took my order to go, but inside seemed clean enough. Wait time was short. I'd try this place again..

Real good food. Portions of Carnitas are nice and meaty. The salsa bar tastes great. Overall a great spot in Vallejo. Big upgrade from their old location but the food is as good as I remember. Weekend specials must be good there too because when I tried ordering some they were all out. Hope to catch them next time. Definitely a gem in Vallejo.

Super burrito carnitas, average at best. Def not "best carnitas in Vallejo" as what their sign claim.
    Cesar B.

Had their super burrito for the first time. Was always curious if their claim in their sign "Best carnitas in Vallejo" was true. Definitely not true. I'm no carnitas expert but I have tasted better carnitas than theirs. I would rate their carnitas a little below average. Their carnitas was not flavorful and was a bit dry. The burrito was cold and cheese was not melted. Did not really taste any distinct flavors whatsoever. Eating it just felt like a chore not an enjoyment. They sell pickled jalapeños in a tub which was ok not great. Super burrito carnitas and salsas was average at best, nothing special here.

    Perfectly portion carnias goodness.

My favorite was their chicken tinga, which reminded me of the chicken burritos I used to get back in my hometown across the bridge. I immediately told myself I'd have to come back and order a chicken tinga burrito. A few weeks later, I finally returned on a Sunday while they were serving their World Cup Sunday brunch. I ordered a chicken tinga super burrito and a California burrito to take home. I was really excited to dig in, but when I opened the bag, the "super" burrito looked more like a regular burrito. The flavors were still great, but the filling was disappointing. There was barely any chicken or sour cream, and I had to eat more than halfway through before I finally got a decent balance of meat, rice, and beans. I even had to add my own sour cream because there was so little inside. As for the California burrito, it was just okay. The fries were stale, and there wasn't enough sour cream or guacamole, which made the burrito pretty dry. It honestly reminded me more of a breakfast burrito than a California burrito, and I wasn't a fan. Overall, the flavors are definitely there, and it's clear the food has potential. However, the portions felt skimpy for the price, making the burritos feel overpriced. I'll give Sol y Sazon another chance because I know they're capable of making delicious food, but if my next experience is like this one, they'll likely lose me as a customer.

The line was considerably long around 7:30 p.m. so it took a while for us to order and receive our food. I like that the tacos here are single tortilla -- as opposed to double tortillas, so the filling to tortilla ratio feels a lot more balanced. For both tacos, the meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. Although a bunch of sauces and garnishes are provided, the taco was good enough on its own. Of the sauces we received, my favorites to add was a squeeze of lime and the red sauce, which had a nice smokey Chipotle flavor and wasn't overly spicy. My friend ordered a quesadilla and it was absolutely massive! I definitely would only recommending ordering a quesadilla if you're sharing it, or if you're coming with a massive appetite. Overall, Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño was a nice gem we randomly stumbled upon while routing to In-N-Out for burgers. Between the two, I would certainly save my stomach space for tacos from Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño next time.

Parking is a little tricky because so many people pack into the tiny lot. Plenty of different meats to choose from if you're craving tacos. But they have plenty of alternatives if you aren't feeling like tacos. I ended up getting Al Pastor, Asada, and Suadero. Suadero was okay but the Al Pastor was amazing. I lived in San Diego and I've had a hard time finding good pastor since I moved back. Freshly sliced with slice of pineapple was perfect! They have all the fixings in bins with tongs for you to pack in sandwich bags they have available. Only thing is, it seems like kind of a roll of the dice from a food safety standpoint, but hey, "street" tacos aMiRiTe? Haha. Overall fast service, great tacos. Especially for the price of $4/taco. I'd give it five stars but had to knock it down for the food safety aspect.

MI JALISCO RESTAURANTE -- SOMEONE CALL THE TACO POLICE BECAUSE THIS FOOD IS ILLEGAL!…read more HOLY CR*P... I HAVE FOUND THE GOOD STUFF! I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS RESTAURANTE!!! I ordered the Birria Tacos and the Torta Ahogada Mi Jalisco, and I'm not exaggerating when I say this was some of the BEST Mexican food I've probably ever eaten. And I've eaten a LOT of Mexican food. The birria tacos were so damn good I briefly considered hiding under the table so nobody could see me ordering another round. The flavor was on point, the meat was fantastic, and everything just WORKED. Then came the Torta Ahogada Mi Jalisco... HOLY. TACO. TRUCK. That thing showed up looking innocent and left me questioning every life decision that had previously led me to eat anything else. THIS is what I mean when I say authentic Mexican food. No nonsense. No boring, flavorless food that makes you stare at your plate wondering where the personality went. This food showed up with its boots on and went straight to work. And judging by the crowd, I'm definitely not the only one who figured this place out. This place was PACKED at lunch today! That's usually a pretty good sign that the locals know something the rest of us are still trying to figure out. The restaurant was clean, tidy, busy, and full of good energy, and the service was absolutely AMAZING. Everyone was friendly, polite, and working their butts off. I also had my service dog, an American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT), with me. They politely asked if he was a service dog, I answered, and that was literally the end of it. No drama. No interrogation. No circus. Just respectful people treating us like human beings. And THAT deserves some recognition. ‍ So here's my official DirtyFender Food Finder ruling: Food: ABSOLUTELY KILLER Flavor: OFF THE CHARTS Service: FANTASTIC Cleanliness: SPOT ON ‍ Service-dog experience: RESPECTFUL AND EASY Tip: TIP THESE PEOPLE WELL! Seriously, when you get great food from people busting their asses to serve you, SHOW THEM SOME LOVE. The cooks and servers deserve every bit of appreciation they get. I walked in hungry. We order ahead because we're on a tight schedule -- I'm a busy, involved parent getting him to the gym after school. A few weeks back, despite ordering plain chicken, his plate came out with pico de gallo. He won't eat it that way. I didn't have time to drive back, so I let it go. The following week, we ordered in person and the waitress assured me she double-checked the order. My son's meal came out correctly -- but my plate was made plain instead of how I ordered it. Not a big deal. I can eat it. I called simply to let them know there was a mix-up -- not demanding anything, not asking for free food. What I wasn't prepared for was being called a liar. I was told the order was made correctly and that if I wanted it fixed I had to bring everything back immediately -- including the salsas. I explained we were on a time schedule for my son's gym session. Instead of understanding, I was told my "games won't fly" there and that I was being a "Karen" looking for free food. My son was hungry and upset during the call. She heard him. We drove back anyway. I placed the plate on the counter, and once she saw it, the mistake was obvious. Only then did she offer to remake it. At that point it wasn't about the food -- it was about being accused of lying and being publicly disrespected in front of my child. Weeks later, I noticed the order was never refunded. I had to dispute the charge with American Express to get my money back. I've supported this restaurant for years. This wasn't about a wrong plate -- mistakes happen. It was about how we were treated when trying to resolve it. I can't return after being called dishonest and a beggar over a simple order issue.

The food is very, very good, the prices are reasonable, and the portions you get are worth it. It's kind of hard to miss when driving by, but they also have a small sign near the street letting you know they're there. I had known about this taco truck for years but never stopped until last year, and now I wish I had gone sooner. I ordered a super burrito and a few tacos. One thing I really like is that they actually list the length of their burritos on the menu. That's a nice touch because sometimes you order a "super burrito" somewhere else and end up with something small. Here, you know exactly what you're getting. Out of all the taco trucks in Vallejo, this is easily one of my top three burrito trucks. I try not to burn myself out eating at the same place too often, so I like switching between favorites, and this is definitely one I keep coming back to. I almost always get the steak burrito. One thing I really love is the pico de gallo they use. They use red onions, which gives it a nice touch, and every time I get it, I can really taste the cilantro in the pico de gallo throughout the burrito. The steak and chicken street tacos were also really good but the burrito is always my favorite! Parking is never an issue because they share a parking lot with an auto body shop during off-hours, so there's usually plenty of space. They also have cones to help guide cars entering and exiting the lot. When your food is ready, they call your order number over the microphone/intercom system, then ask if you want red or green sauce and chips. Overall, I've always had a great experience here. If you're in Vallejo and looking for a good taco truck, I definitely recommend giving this place a try.
