I found this restaurant on google and wanted to give it a try. Didn't disappoint! My family and I had an amazing time eating here. The server was really nice and the food was really good.

Tadka is a great place for dine in though ur not looking at ambience like the Amber Cafe but certainly its better than Shalimar. 1. I ordered Kadhai Paneer Spicy and it was very tasty and spicy 2. The garlic naan was huge and lot of butter and distinct taste of garlic 3. Mango Lassi was great too 4. They also gave me onion lemon and chillies when I requested the same 5. Would have loved complimentary papad and pickle 6. Would also have loved if they kept fennel seeds for after food at the counter 7. If you are cricket fan, IPL highlights was on when I went

Very watered down, flavorless daal. You can barely find any daal because it's so soupy.

It pains me to give any place only 1 star (which is rare for me), but this was by far the worst food I've eaten in the last year. The people I shared the food with all agreed that the food quality was terrible, and everything was so bland. If you're looking for a great Indian restaurant in the Mission, you're in luck because I've been to over half a dozen great Indian spots in the Mission...but this place is not it. I was originally very intrigued by the chicken tikka pizza because I have a favorite Indian pizza spot in the East Bay (Oakland) and was hoping to find a similar spot closer to me in SF. However, the chicken tikka pizza here was such a disappointment and super bland! First of all, the chicken was inedible. It had a chalky texture and was way too overcooked or rotten that I couldn't eat it and ended up picking out all the chicken pieces. Also...where is the flavor? Where is the spice?? I hate wasting food, but we had no choice but to throw out the rest of this pizza because we really couldn't stomach it at all, especially the chicken that was nauseating. I don't remember the last time I had to throw out food like this. I also added the daal tadka to my order because of a BOGO free deal on UberEats. This was so disappointing too! This was so watered down that it was more like flavorless soup. My partner compared it to a worse version of a Trader Joe's soup (which is an insult to TJ's). The container it came in was also half the size of daal from other Indian restaurants in the city. Lastly, the garlic naan was disappointing as well. There was no garlic flavor, and the texture was terrible! Naan should be soft and fluffy, but the naan here was so thin and flat. This means the naan wasn't cooked properly.

This place is so amazing I got the chicken tikka masala pizza and samosas and a mango lassi everything was amazing I even got a little rice pudding what a perfect dinner. They were so sweet in there and it was quick and I got it to go. I will definitely recommend this place to anybody in the mission it was amazing just the right level of spice and the sauces are good too couldn't have asked for a better Indian pizza!

Ok here's the deal the rating is for the fact that it's a late night joint that actually tastes like someone cooked your meal! I personally would skip the biriyani only due to the personal preference of liking a less heavy gravy taste. The naan was excellent. Maybe next time I'll try the cream based masala's. the chicken is a must get just for how tender and moist it was. Service was efficient and friendly. It's a really clean spot. Nothing fancy but clean.

Review based on delivery order! Was really excited for "Indian pizza" as I've had good experiences with places in the South Bay and had seen Tadka's menu while walking around the Mission a few weeks ago. Sad to report that the pizza is not great - I got the Tandoori Chicken pizza and there isn't a lot of flavor other than a slightly off cheese taste. Veg was crunchy and the sauces that came with helped, but overall pretty bland with a soggy crust (which could be due to delivery). My partner got medium chicken tikka masala (comes with rice which is nice!) and garlic naan...and said there was also no flavor! I tried it and was so surprised because we haven't experienced that in awhile with tikka masala. It wasn't even spicy. Naan wasn't anything to report on either, surprisingly flat like lavash vs naan we're used to but looking at other reviews our order may have been a one-off?

    CHICKEN CURRY PIZZA

Got the chicken tikka pizza and it was just okay. The chicken was really soft to the point that it was kind of disintegrating in my mouth, which had a pretty weird mouthfeel for me. The chicken was also quite dry. The pizza overall was very dry--I wish there was some sort of sauce that they put on it to balance that out. It did have a good amount of flavor though. Overall, I might try their curries which seem to have better reviews but wouldn't get the pizza again.

My husband and I recently ordered a few items from Tadka for takeout. I love that when we arrived the food was ready for pick up and super hot. We ordered two chicken tikka masala. I love that this dish was super flavorful with chunks of chicken in it. The chicken is tender and break apart easily. We also ordered two types of naan: garlic naan and Peshawari Naan. Both were thinner than we expected but it was still pretty good. My favorite of the two is Peshawari, which is stuffed with creme, dried cherries, and cashews. I love that it has a hint of sweet. And it was perfect right the chicken tikka masala. We'll definitely return to try their other dishes. Especially their pizza

What originally started as a disappointment became a huge blessing once we found the board room. Feet aching, sweaty, and tired we made our way to this bar. Immediately you could tell it's a local favorite, the ambiance was nice and a great spot to people-watch. There was a cup flipping event which was super fun to spectate, along side the rotating pictures of the bar's beloved pooches . We ordered 2 western burgers, 12 count bone-in wings (half bbq, half Hawaiian), and an appetizer of corn dogs, tater tots, bacon Mac & cheese bites, and mozzarella sticks. Later we also added boneless buffalo wings which were so tangy, well-seasoned, and HOT. The western bacon burgers were so delicious, crispy bacon, crispy onion rings, and some bomb.com bbq sauce. The wings were drowned in sauce (just how we like them) , the bbq was to die for and the Hawaiian had the perfect little kick of spice for our picky eaters. The appetizer platter was also fried to perfection, with the perfect crunch on the tater tots & corn dogs. The Mac & cheese bites & mozzarella sticks were perfectly cheesed, with an amazing cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks. Along with the food, my boyfriend and I ordered some drinks. I got a margarita and he got a Guinness. Both drinks were good, very standard and well served. The couple behind the bar were very funny and super kind to us being dazed after all the walking. On our way back down to SoCal my brother is still raving about the burgers, this is a MUST-STOP the next time we come up to San Francisco!!

I stopped by around 4:30 p.m. and there were a few tables where I saw folks finishing up their work day on their laptops with a beer. It's neither overly crowded, nor overly loud, which is perfect for getting work done. Since it was the World Cup and many guests would be camping out for the entire match, table service has a per person minimum spend of $25. This is a really a non-issue because a cocktail is around $15, so two drinks, or one drink with some food, will easily hit this minimum. My wife and I shared crispy pork schnitzel ($17) and an order of their deviled eggs ($12). The deviled eggs were nicely seasoned and included a small salad shrimp on top for some variety. The pork schnitzel was perfectly fried and the potatoes in the included side-salad was well-cooked and not over dressed. I would recommend enjoying the schnitzel with some mustard. Both drinks that I ordered -- an Old Fashioned and a Boulvardier, were well prepared. No notes here. Service here was top notch. Throughout our stay, our server checked up on us multiple times and we never had to wait long to place another order for drinks. Tipping options on the receipt include pre-calculated 18%, 20%, and 22% options (on top of the 5% SF Mandate). Last but not least, the restaurant had clean bathrooms and a bunch of large TV screens on every wall. If you're looking to watch a sports match, Sam's Tavern is the place to go!
