So friendly! We were well taken care of for dinner tonight. Indoor and outdoor seats. If you walk all the way to the back there are larger tables for 4 people. Tables in front for 2 people. What a big menu! There's Mediterranean and then you can also get burgers and cheesesteaks and onion rings and fries! So whatever you're in the mood for The lamb and beef plate was fantastic, the meat was flavorful and the rice it sat on top of was buttery and amazing! This dish came with a Generous helping of hummus, tzatziki sauce (cucumber and green yogurt), pita bread, and cucumber/tomato salad. I was so full! Falafel was good too. Also there are desserts and candies like Dubai chocolate to pick from right at the counter I hope this restaurant does well! You can see/feel the love that goes into this business

Freshly made falafel, hummus. The cucumber and yogurt salad did not have the unpleasant, sharp, sour taste as I have had elsewhere. This tasted super fresh. Kababs were tender and tasty. Delicious food. Great prices. Great location. Friendly service.!

Great local spot. I've come in maybe 3-4 times and I've liked everything that I've tried. My husband and I like their chicken wrap and falafel. They have a good menu with Mediterranean and American (burgers) options. There's seating inside, it's clean with extra drinks and snacks to buy inside. The owner is very kind and always helps me with the menu and ordering. He speaks English and Spanish, maybe another language too. Definitely a place worth trying with great service.

I was a long, longtime customer of what used to be in this location, Ali Baba's Cave. After a few years of mourning, I tried this place out. What I got was very solid shawarma, creamy and delicious hummus, and friendly/phenomenal service. While it isn't Ali Baba's in my heart, if you're in the mood for Mediterranean, it shouldn't disappoint.

Fresh Falafel Piece (complimentary from the owner Mohammad) - freshly made and still warm!

Upon walking in you were greeted with a very friendly staff that spoke Spanish and English! They were very accommodating with answering questions about the menu and suggesting things I might like. I ordered the chicken Shawarma wrap and as I waited the owner let me try a complementary falafel as a taste test. I sat down to enjoy my meal and the ambiance was inviting with other tables filled with chatter and continual guest coming in to order for to-go. I will be coming back and I'm happy the neighborhood has a new spot!

I was heading to a movie at The Roxie and parked near SF Grill. I'm all about Mediterranean food, so decided to stop in. I ordered the falafel sandwich and was not disappointed! The falafel were crisp on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The lavash was nicely toasted. I requested shatta to be added (love me a spicy wrap). The interior is simple and clean. The staff are kind, warm, and attentive. Stop in for a yummy meal!

There's a new Mediterranean place that opened up a few days ago. Food is amazing. I ordered mixed grill plate and meat is well marinated and tender and delicious. It came with a variety of salads, pita bread and hummus We also got Chicken Shawarma. I've tried shawarma in many places and this one is the best - very juicy and savory.

The falafel had to a crispy shell, and was fried to order: piping hot, served on a bed of hummus. The shawarma sandwiches were flavorful. I requested the spicy taking sauce to be added. Clean and friendly service. Check out out of your in the SF Valencia area.

The owner was super friendly and courteous. The food was excellent I had the mezza plate and it was big enough to share! Absolutely delicious. The falafel is freshly made which is a plus! The restaurant is clean and it has a good atmosphere!

The owner is truly so sweet. We were greeted with some free falafel to try and it's some of the best I've had. Shawarma was excellent. Charred pita came with it and it took it up a notch plus next level hummus.

Needed a quick bite, dropped in for a Shawarma. The lady behind the counter was really nice. She loaded the Shawarma up with chicken, veggies, sauce, and grilled it perfectly before serving. It was really delicious. I highly recommend this new restaurant.

Very delicious! Tried a variety of different meats and was very pleased with the taste ! Very nice service, I liked that the food was served on ceramic plates. The temperature was perfect, everything was super fresh. Highly recommend to try it ! + the interior is really clean and they have nice tall ceiling which makes the ambiance really pleasant !

I don't know but it looks delicious

Service attentive and friendly, adding to the overall experience. The food is excellent, with rich, authentic Armenian and Mediterranean flavors. A standout is the Armenian coffee--strong, rich, aromatic, and perfectly prepared with mini bakhlava. It's the perfect way to end a meal. A place of both comfort and quality.

The kebabs were made with chicken breast, but very tender and moist, and the side of hummus was fresh, creamy and delicious. We also tried the sangria which was great- not too sweet and decently strong (not watered down bad wine). For dessert, the lemon cake was tasty but odd that dried cranberries were sprinkled into the whipped cream. I appreciated the variety offered on the menu- not just typical Greek food you find everywhere else that touts "Mediterranean food". The service was super nice and efficient, and I like that it has been family owned and run (sadly an increasingly rare San Francisco characteristic these days)- you can tell the difference in the quality and thought put into the experience.

We are not olive ppl sadly but I tried one and it was pretty okay. The service was great and all the servers were super attentive and accommodating. The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken. I honestly felt pretty healthy overall cause I was eating hella veggies and everything tasted so fresh. The kunafa was good we got it crispy and was yummy imo but was a lil oily (I think this is normal tho). Arab food isn't really spicy but it is spiced and very herbal which I felt in the food here, I appreciate that chili sauce is provided for the spice lovers. Overall, would highly recommend. It was about $100ish for everything and they recently increased their prices but tbh the portion sizes are huge and I feel like it is so worth it we had hella leftovers. If we had 4 ppl instead of 2 it would've been perfect portions for everyone.

When we arrived at around 7:30 pm, there were tables available. It's a comfortable cafe-like restaurant with mural paintings on the wall. Service was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as the ambiance and waitstaff. ***OUR PICKS*** BEEF SHAWERMA ENTREE ~ the beef was overly salted, saffron rice was ok, hummus was really thick, like peanut butter. My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. This tasted like plain roasted chicken. Maybe it needs more seasoning while marinating. It wasn't dry, so that's a relief. Rice was ok and it wasn't dry or soggy. 3.5 We've been spoiled and have had better food in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Nothing stood out for any of us. Prices are a bit high for what you get. Sadly, probably won't be back.

I'm sure there are other Persian cafés and restaurants as good as Lavash. I hardly stop to think about what made Lavash interesting. The floral aroma throughout the entire atmosphere, the gentleness of the waiters and hostesses who're well focused on serving others, and their signature paper thin Lavash bread. A clear teapot filled with saffron tea with rock candy on a stick; seen how they dip it in after pouring the tea. Interesting orange color indeed! A plate of zucchini, grape tomatoes, Moroccan mint leaves, and a pair of Bulgarian cheese; complimentary for my first visit here. Persian noodle soup, filled with beans, chickpeas, and lentils; loved the floral notes in every spoonful. Main course, veggie kabob on a bed of basmati rice drenched in saffron and spices, along with some onions and mushrooms, and of course, a large Lavash bread at the bottom to fill the whole plate. The best part is to completely sandwich wrap after I marginalized the contents on the plate. Ahhh! Satisfying to the last bite of herbs and spices. Not filling though, but I had no need for any dessert. Another highly recommended place to eat for locals and tourists alike. I let some of my friends know how much they'll love the best Persian dishes locals raved about. Thumbs up for the people of Lavash!

The Lamb Sandwich was was also very meh. The Lamb itself was on the tough side of life and this didn't really have any flavor to it besides the taste of Feta Cheese. The Greek Fries were the best thing and those were also pretty okay. They were nice and crispy but that was all. The Juicy Potatoes were indeed juicy, but that was really it. The problem was that they didn't have any flavor. The Baklava Crumbles and Syrup was okay. The Frozen Yogurt was okay and the Baklava that went with it was very meh in terms of taste and texture. Overall, very mediocre in taste and overpriced in terms of taste.
