We had the worst experience there. I never felt so humiliated in public before. We were there for a friend's birthday last Friday karaoke night. Everything was fine until we decided to walk up to the stage to cheer for a sweet lady who was singing. The DJ made an inappropriate joke "Hurry before I call ICE to report you guys" (We're 4 Asian girls). Nobody said anything but we felt like everyone was staring. It was really embarrassing. My first time there last evening. We were there to see Turn it on again Phil Collins/Genesis tribute. I was very impressed with the sound quality in the room. Wanting to beat the Saint Paddy's Day rush we stopped into the wild Rover's new location. Spacious outdoor seating on one side, very accommodating for the rowdy crowd. As you walk inside, you are in an Irish pub. There are seats and booths. Lots of privacy in the booths as well as an assortment of items for purchase. Lovely tea is served as well uncertain occasions. Teapots Irish banners, be deck the place. The beers are listed on the chalkboard as well as all of the pourable spirits. I had a pear cider, and my husband had some sort of Bach beer We enjoyed a Scottish egg and of course, the crispiest fried fish that my grandmother would be proud of! We Went to eat and wanted to attend the music venue. We started off by asking about the venue, and the staff is unaware and misinformed. While standing in the way, without knowing, one of the venue managers came out and told us to move. He was very disrespectful. Not sure why we sat down to eat. Ordered two overpriced meals. Burger was dry overpriced and mushrooms. Should've been cut in half so that it doesn't off the burger. The other entrée was an English dish and unfortunately, was not worth the $16. Very disappointing, although I hate to complain, I think an owner needs to know. read more

Came here recently after stumbling upon this place. It's a great British Pub with actual pump style beer just like they have in the UK. We have now been here twice and enjoyed each one. The beer is great and the food is great as well. The property is larger than it initially looks and frequently host concerts and weddings. There multiple seating areas including inside and outside as well as a small area selling British style goodies. We are in love with Wild Rover and will certainly be back again read more

Great English/Irish pub that makes their own beers. Very nostalgic for my family as they come from overseas. Portion sizes are big and the atmosphere is lively. Fun place to go for craft beer. Nice indoor tasting room and a large back room with a stage that was having karaoke on a Friday night. They do serve food but I didn't have anything on this visit, but they have a large menu including wings, flatbreads, sandwiches and burgers. I love a brewery that serves food. I only tried one beer this visit, I had the Hops On For Nowhere IPA with finishing notes of grapefruit and citrus. This is a review for the food only, and it was delivered (so, not piping fresh). I ordered via Uber Eats, and it was delivered within the original prediction window. I ordered: a kid's bangers and mash, a kid's chicken tenders with tots, a Cornish pasty with brussel sprouts, and the fish and chips. As soon as I carried the delivery bag into my kitchen, I noticed a strong fish smell. Ugh. Not a good sign. As the food had been on a 20 minute car ride, I did not expect it to be piping hot or particularly crispy, but it was very soggy. They need to punch those corner holes to let out the steam! Thankfully, I have an air fryer, so I was able to crisp up the tots and chips. So the food was... not great. My son did not love his bangers, even when coated in mustard. I did appreciate that there was no onion gravy drowning the mash, but I thought it was weird that there was no gravy on the side either. I tasted the banger, and it was below average for English sausage that I've tried. My daughter's chicken tenders were fine, and the amount of tater tots given was very generous. My husband said the fish was very fishy and old tasting. My Cornish pasty had a nice and flaky crust, but the filling was very underseasoned and had a very bland texture. The brussel sprouts were on the mushy side. I hope this place has great beer, and maybe the food tastes better eaten in the brewery. But this is not a great option for delivery. read more

My first review of 2023 We stopped in while we were in the area and were really glad we did. The food here is truly a UK experience. We started with their Scotch egg and it was fantastic. One egg, split between us was a nice appetizer. He opted for the Steak and Ale pie with a side Ceaser salad. The puff pastry was light and crisp and absolutely delicious. The guineas was prevalent in flavour and the steak was soft and tender. For me, I got the bangers and mash, the sausages were a touch over done, but they were still flavorful just a bit less juicy. The mash and gravy were amazing. I had a side of fried Brussels and was slightly disappointed by their not quite fried nature. They weren't crispy or seasoned. What a cool lil place. Walk in to a inspired snack shack. Yep imported brands and delicacies from UK. Then approach the bar/to/go check out. On your right a sports bar with all the le futbol sporty decor. To the left a tea time set up. Yes that's right sports bar and tea time all in one place- I'm not done yet. Brewery in back with a stage, set up for events as well as live band nights. They make their own blends of UK driven beer. With all that there is also a patio seating area. Neighborhood secret at its finest! Now to the food -OMG! One of the best shepards pie I've seen (someone else ordered it I saw it walking by) The Brie appetizer will bring me back (again at another table). The restaurant itself is spilt in to a main restaurant/sports bar, a 21 and over only bar and a concert hall where they host cover bands. There is a cover charge for the concert hall. I didn't expect to take a trip to England today, but here we are! As I walked in the side door, I was greeted quickly by a server and told her I'd like to take a seat at the bar she directed me immediately to the correct location. The bar area is definitely different and I'm in love with it. It's three sided and I believe the kitchen sits in the center so you can't see the other views of other patrons. The bartender approached me and gave me a few samples of different beers that I was interested in. I picked a red Irish ale called locomotive breath. It was ice, cold and refreshing. In the room behind me was a large banquet style area that had a band warming up. I got there about 1:30 PM and I guess the band starts at two as patron started to pour in right at 2 o'clock. The only pitfall I see about the band playing is they were extremely loud even through the walls as I sat in another room. I observed patrons coming in bringing headphones and earplugs. The ambience of the bar was fantastic. There are little hidden rooms with booths, a little gift shop area with overseas chocolates, the banquet room with the band, and outside patio with large amounts of tables, and the inside main bar area. The decor was decked out in a soccer theme. They have small little traces of England all over the bar. I didn't have a cocktail today, but I loved that all of their spirits were on tap. I didn't try any of the food, but the menu was extensive. read more

Another hidden gem in Tampa! Excellent draft beer and British food. Wild Rover is a great place for an occasion. They have 2 large inside dining areas as well as 2 outdoor areas. Amazing for events - birthday parties, baby showers, etc. The draft beer and cocktail menu is huge! So many tasty options. If you like coffee flavored beer but you're not a fan of stouts, you have to try Tart Me Up! It's probably one of the most unique beers I've tasted, last time I ended up ordering 3! Their appetizers pair perfectly with a draft beer. The Beer Cheese Dip with fresh baked bread is phenomenal! The Sausage Roll is so flavorful and delicious. Scotch Egg is a classic, done very well at Wild Rover. You can't go wrong with any of the entree items. The Steak and Ale Pie is my husbands favorite. I really like the Cornish Pasty. The sizable Cod Save the Queen sandwich is served up on a brioche bun, so yummy! We've been tempted by the Banoffee Pie multiple times but have yet to try it. Less beer = dessert. read more

This brewery is tucked away in the Westchase area and it was about time we went to check it out. We didn't know they had a full menu either, which excited Ben because he is half British and ladies his little Grannie who has the cutest accent. Sadly, we had lunch plans already but we saw plenty of items on the menu we would want to try. I could smell an order of Fish and Chips came out and wanted it so bad. Our Beertender happened to be one of the owners so had a great conversation with her and how they came to be. We enjoyed a flight while we were there and the great conversation. They also have a small area where you are buy British items, some of course I had never even seen. It looks like they expended a lot, probably due to COVID and had "FOOTBALL" playing while we were there. We will be back for sure, when we can actually eat too. read more

Blink and you'll miss the turn. I did. Hidden off the beaten path and located in a nondescript industrial complex that borders Westchase and Oldsmar, is the Wild Rover Brewing Company. The quaint British pub has pulled out all of the stops with decorating. If it weren't for the ridiculous Florida heat, a native Brit might feel right at home. We found our way, quite accidentally, when one of our favorite nearby restaurants was over-booked for the night. To our delight, we found there was plenty of outdoor seating, which has now become a prerequisite for social dining. We ordered the Beer Cheese Dip as a starter. Served in an uninspired styrofoam bowl, the beer cheese had a thin layer of hardening cheese that left me wishing it was a little hotter. The "fresh baked" bread was slightly warmer, but was still kind of doughy. It was most certainly a frozen loaf from a box. There was plenty of cheese left over, so an extra piece of bread would have been nice. Pretzel bread as an option would have hit the spot. I ordered a half dozen of the "Sticky Ale" wings and half of a dozen dry rub wings. The wings were pretty decent sized and when served alongside the celery and carrots, there was literally no place to discard the bones. I really enjoyed the taste of the Sticky Ale sauce, which is like a sweet and tangy BBQ. Warning: they are extremely messy! The dry rub was...dry. There was definitely no lack of seasoning. I ended up asking for another side of the Sticky Ale sauce, then promptly buried the remaining dry rub wings for added wetness. My wife had the Lovely Rita, which is basically a Margarita Flat Bread. Mozzarella, tomato, pesto, fresh basil and EVOO were piled high atop the bread and cooked to perfection. It was crispy, not soggy and the balsamic was delicious. I'm glad that I found the Wild Rover. What's not to like? The have a full bar and an excellent beer selection! The food is pretty decent and the staff was friendly. Live bands play every weekend for those brave enough. The band playing the night that we went was of the 90's alternative rock variety. It cost an additional $10 to watch the band, but we heard them clearly from our table near the front of the restaurant. read more

I'd like to preface that my review may be outdated since it's been about a year since I last dined at this restaurant. I hope that they've managed to fix the issues that I explained below. I've tried this place twice. Once to try it and a 2nd time to confirm that I really dislike the food, service and beer and they weren't just having an off night. Let's start with everyone's main reason for visiting a brewery: THE BEER. There was absolutely nothing special about their beers. We sampled most of them in ordering flights, and the majority were bland. And those that actually had some flavor tasted like every other beer out there. Nothing unique. The service. The service was BAD. We were starving when we showed up the second time. We were seated by the waitress and ready to order a flight of beer. We weren't even offered waters before the waitress walked away saying she'd be right back. A Few Hours Later... Just kidding! But if felt like an eternity later!! So after 20 minutes (I literally remember timing it), I finally got up and ventured into the restaurant (we were seated outside) to let someone know we were ready to order some beverages. I couldn't find our waitress so I relayed the message to another employee who said she would send her out to us. Well, that took another 15 minutes. We were gathering our things to leave when the waitress came out and apologized and took our drink orders. She said she was slammed but there was literally a handful of cars in the parking lot. But mistakes happen so we stayed. The service didn't improve. It took forever to get our drinks. Even longer to get our food. And when we finally got the food.. I ate 1/4 of my order, pushed it away, got our check, and we left for McDonald's. The food was bland, cold but left me feeling salty. Being this is a small business, I genuinely hope the owners have fixed their issues with the service and the food. I'm leaving the beer out of the equation since everyone has a different palette and may find the beers satisfactory. But when it comes to the food and the service that's a totally different story. Nobody enjoys horrible service and paying high prices for cold, tasteless food. If I'm contacted and told these issues have already been addressed, then I'm happy to remove my review. But until then, this is my honest opinion. read more

Tucked away amongst industrial looking buildings in Westchase, this on-site brewery is serving up creative spin on British influenced dishes. The English inspired menu offers Appetizers, Soups & Salads, Flatbreads, Sandwiches, Breakfast, and Entree. Yes the Keanu is indeed large just like their large interior and exterior covered seating. Here's some highlight dishes I tried on my first visit. The oh-so-cheesy Beer Cheese Dip (with fresh baked bread) is hard to put down. Go ahead try, I dare you! The Crunchy delish Fresh Cobb Salad with homemade Scotch Egg (an English favorite) is a fest for the eyes as well for the taste buds. I could just keep eating those golden scotch eggs. Fancifully named Oh Canada flatbread (a meaty starchy full breakfast on flat bread) is hearty tasty and filling. It's got a balanced portion of chunks of potato fires, bacon, cheese curds, sweet & tangy gravy, and roped with green onion garnish. The lengthy draft list sports creatively named drafts like John Barleywine Mist Die or Let it ESB offers a hop for everyone's desires. The staff do their best to give all guests equal attention and seem to be constantly on the move across their spread out seating spaces. There is also on site private parking albeit only few spaces. For best experience it's advised to go during off peak hours like Sunday early afternoon. I'll have to return for more moshing on their burgers and entrees. read more

We read an article about the food so decided to go there for dinner on a recent Friday. For us eating at the bar is enjoyable and with 2 seats open we sat immediately. Tables were open so I doubt we would have waited either way. The service was very friendly and prompt. When offered, we like to try Fish and Chips. We chose that with a The Briton Banger Flatbread and a cup of Seafood chowder. All the food was tasty and well prepared. The highlight of the meal was how well the beer paired with the food. We look forward to craft beer tasting and the offering here was one of the best. The beers we selected that night we list with some of our favorites! The Alternate Tunings Altbier and the Locomotive Breath Irish Red are some of the best craft beers we have tried. After we finished dining we looked around and found in the back building a stage with Karaoke. The crowd was having so much fun and both good and not good singers joined in. It was a great time we will return. I would have given a 5 star and only subtracted one because the fish had an very mild off taste, kind of like chlorine.
