Cute little doggie store. My big boy was turning 1 and I was looking for a dog safe birthday cake for him and found this place on the internet. Came in and spent waaaay more that I originally wanted to and my bill ended up being $80.00 for a little cake, birthday hat and two toys. Super cute and different stuff but definitely expensive, but when you look at the location it's to be expected. A place that we will hold for special occasions or if we need something cute for a photo op.

My baby is waaay too big to fit anything in here but the clothes are so cute. However on my baby's 5th Birthday we decided to drop in for some Bday snacks. He loved them so much! Thanks guys!

My daughter and I were visiting Chicago and got lucky by walking by this store! Adorable! I don't have a dog at the moment but I did find an adorable toy and cookies for my nieces dog and my daughter bought a cute bowl for her cat. The people in store so friendly, my favorite store in Chicago!

Just an absolute God send because anytime I've needed anything this cute boutique dog shop never disappoints and has needful dog supplies and treats Last week for instance we encountered a freezing cold arctic blast with sub zero temperatures and high winds. Fortunately the owners kept their store open even though it was deadly cold outside. My relatively new family member Mr. Troika is only 10 months old and still going through his baby teething phase so he bit right through his FIFTH leash yet again and was lifting up his paws because of all the salts that were thrown on the ground to keep the ice from forming here on the pavement. I called here and asked if they had any doggie booties because Petco told me they were all sold out of extra large dog booties. Fortunately the owner here assured me they carried all sizes from xs to XL and he encouraged me to come in. We got here within the hour and even though the owner was clearly busy he helped me understand how to use the balloon booties properly to fit my puppy's extra large paws We left with the doggie booties over his paw pads and a brand new leash which absolutely saved the day for me! I occasionally come in here to buy yummy treats too and today we snagged a brand new find that Mr. Troika here absolutely loves -- polkadog...cod skins and it's a completely digestible crunchy stick your dog can eat and chew on in lieu of problematic raw hides. My dog's tummy is ultra sensitive and he can't eat rawhide but he loves these chew sticks! A huge thank you to the owners here because Troika loved walking in his new doggie booties and we will continue to support your cute local dog boutique. Thanks for having your doors open during our brutal winter arctic storm.

It wouldn't be the Gold Coast without a boutique pet store! I got a harness for my dog here that never wore out and she continues to stay warm in the winter with her new coat. They have a range of prices, but it is on the more expensive side so this is a "treat yourself" sort of pup store. My favorite are the pun-tastic squeaky toys. My dog has the "Tory Bark" "Furcedez Benz" and an "IPAW'D"! They also carry treats, rawhide, and plenty of beautifully decorated cookies. The service is extremely friendly and there is always a friendly face to help you find what you need for your furry friend and they helped me make informed decisions for my dog's harness/leash and coat.

cute stuff but pretty expensive for a small boutique ! $6 for a little party hat and most toys run in the 13-17 range with the clothes are even more expensive and when i asked if they ever have sales or deals (not uncommon for most places to have occasional sales in my opinion) and the sales man scoffed in my face and said no we don't. little rude considering i was spending over $30 on dog toys.

I've purchased cakes before for my dogs birthday and he was never interested in them the way he was with this cake. We bought him a cute watermelon bandana as well and I think he loved it lol. I will definitely keep purchasing his cakes here, the staff was super friendly as well!

Adorable shop we stumbled across yesterday while wrapping up on our chocolate tour next store at More cupcakes. Located near the corner at Delaware and State. Steve doesn't allow me to dress Jackson in clothes and honestly, I'm not a big fan of it myself but I wanted to see what these guys had so we chose to go in. This is a small shop in a posh neighborhood. The staff was crazy friendly and the whole place is well organized. I admired some random stuff for dogs like a Burberry bandana, a non-skid placemat in the shape of a bone for the pups' and kitty's water and food dishes and some really cool stuff that helps with removing the gunk in the pup's eyes. We don't have that issue with our dog, but my mom's dog does and she could certainly use a product like this. They had all types of fashionable collars for our furry friends and plenty of sweaters and costumes for our pals. They had a full table of Halloween decorated treats ranging from $2 to $6 depending on the size. There was one adorable bone that had icing on it staying "I 'heart' Chicago" that I debated buying our boy, but then I found this super unique dog toy for Jackson, so we went with that instead. It was $13 or so, but I had never seen anything like it before. There is a guarantee for the toy as long as you save your proof of purchase and the packaging, so I have that stuff put to the side should our crazy dog rip this thing apart but it seems very durable so I hope we don't run into an issue. I marked them down one star because I found a few things unmarked and I'm not a big fan of that. I hate asking and then deciding its too expensive...I almost feel bad not purchasing in these instances. I really love the concept of a store like this that people can come to pamper their pets and find special and unique items. If I lived in the area, I would gladly support this local business. We find it hard to find toys that can withstand our small-but-extremely strong pup, so I would come in just to see if they had anything new or fun we could pick up for our boy. I'll definitely be back next time we're in the area to see what's new. I have a feeling stuff changes regularly!

I always thought my boyfriend's dog was very spoiled until I walked in Tails in the City today and saw all the cute little dogs parading around in their trendy coats and booties (some of these dogs probably spend more on their outfits than I do). I couldn't let Summer be the outcast among the group so I picked out an adorable pink sweater and a collar. I can't justify spending the same amount of money on a dog sweater that I spend on my own sweaters so I hit the sale bins. Much more affordable and just as cute! The sales associate was very friendly and helped me find the right size sweater for Summer. She also assured me I could return the items at any time if they didn't fit. I noticed that she seemed to know all her regular customer's dogs names, which I thought was a great personal touch. And for all you dog lovers Tails in the City will be having a holiday event December 2 and 3 to get your picture with Santa Paws. Call Tails in the City for more details...

Tiny, cute little doggie boutique. They have lots of unique doggie toys and treats that you can't find anywhere else...and their Instagram is full of adorable photos of their pupstomers. Want a dog birthday cake? They have it. Need stylish poop bags? You can buy them by the roll. Does Frank the Frenchie need his own Starbarks cup? Get it here. Tails in the City is the perfect place for a new pup gift or just a stop by to spoil your own. And surprisingly, metered street parking was easy to find on a Friday afternoon.

Unfortunately, this turned out to be a terrible decision. When I picked up my dog after his grooming appointment, I noticed nothing unusual at first. However, later that day, I saw him licking his paw non stop. Upon closer inspection, I was horrified to find an injury with visible redness between his tiny toes. Petco never mentioned anything about hurting my dog, which made their lack of transparency even more appalling. I called them the next day (as it was late when I discovered the injury) and was told the manager wasn't available. The employee I spoke with said they'd need to contact upper management to determine what to do. A day went by before I got a call back, only to be told the same thing. I informed them I was traveling to Vegas, and they promised to let me know which vet I could take my dog to. The condition was that if the vet determined the injury was Petco's fault, they would cover the costs. If not, they wouldn't do anything--not even offer a refund for the grooming service. To make matters worse, they never called me back as promised. I disputed the charge with my bank, and now Petco is fighting the dispute, knowing full well they hurt my dog. This is not just poor service--it's outright negligence. I will find the appropriate channels to hold Petco accountable because this treatment is unacceptable. Our pets deserve better care, honesty, and respect.

Dear Mr. Brad Kriser,…read more Hello! This review serves to present my formal recommendation and nomination for your divine employee Jermaine of Krisers River North to be the new Store Manager. I am a longtime customer of your grand operations. Having watched your empire grow magnificently whilst keenly observing the high turnover of managerial staff of River North, I know what your store needs to continue with growth and excellence. And that answer is Jermaine. Jermaine expressed grand interest in this managerial position. But I have been told, by anonymous concerned parties, that Krisers is hiring from outside of the company. This "fact" of outside hiring is insulting to both the local customers and to Jermaine. Jermaine is one of THE MAIN REASONS that my puppies passionately drag me to the shop daily. His kindness radiates. His enthusiasm shines to Pluto and back! From an operational perspective, he, by far, surpasses all prior managerial workmanship. He is strong, smart, and tireless. A salesman who cares. He represents your brand as though he is the owner himself. I observe the manner in which he interacts with dog customers, human customers, and fellow employees. And he is phenomenal. Krisers should be ashamed for overlooking this gem of a gentleman. MY PUPS AND I HERBEY SUBMIT OUR VOTE FOR JERMAINE AS STORE MANAGER. Thank you for reading our review. I also have found one brand of dry kibble my kitty loves N&D from Italy, but it's not the easiest to find lately. I know it sounds crazy but can you imagine eating the same food everyday? I cannot and so I will cater to give my kitty variety. It's better for their digestive system and apparently this behavior is very common with his breed so it is almost inevitable we can't order cans by the case without waste... but we donate to shelters if we do:) Well sadly the neighborhood pet food stores in the area all closed due to economic turn down, so it has been one ginormous hassle to get open stock cans and my preference is to support local businesses. I googled and called a few stores to see what brands they carried, and when David answered the phone (who btw is related to Liz - a true family biz) I just knew this was going to be the start of a good pet-partnership! They carry the brands of food I was familiar with and David explained they have a pet rewards program too! They are located in Ukranian Village which isn't very nearby but David offered complimentary delivery right to my building, text me when he arrived and even tossed in a few extra samples treats for us to try. Top notch friendly five star customer service!

Instead, he received a call that a pitbull had broken loose from its kennel and jumped into Marshy's kennel and attacked him. My dog sustained a neck wound and had to be rushed to the emergency veterinarian for treatment. After an emergency vet visit, tears, and a lot of shock, I brought my dog hurt, with a hole in his neck ungroomed. He sat in a kennel for 1 hr and 30 min before being attacked. Now he is recovering, but the hole in his neck keeps breaking open. I should not have to be dealing with this! No pet owner should have to go through this after leaving their dog somewhere they believed was safe. I'm heartbroken, shaken, and honestly very angry! I didn't get a call from the store manager to check on my dog. They didn't give a damn. PetSmart covered the initial vet bill, I have not been given a clear explanation of how this incident occurred. The store manager stated that there were scratches on the divider but could not explain how one dog was able to access another kennel. This raises serious concerns about facility safety and supervision. Don't take your dog to this shit hole or any petsmart for that matter.
