Most clothing items and carriers are for smaller pets unfortunately (we've got 2 extra extra large dogs haha), but there are a variety of toys and treats that any size of dog can enjoy. The shopkeeper is very helpful and was there to tell us what every treat was made with, as well as to help us bag our treats of interest. Treats were pretty reasonably priced for homemade treats (~$20 for 3 cookies) and stable enough to last through our vacation before we bring them home (will last many weeks). There are also a variety of other pet-related things, like bowls, cards with different dog/cat breeds, leashes, etc. I'd definitely recommend you stop by for your pet or a gift! read more

Cute little doggie store. My big boy was turning 1 and I was looking for a dog safe birthday cake for him and found this place on the internet. Came in and spent waaaay more that I originally wanted to and my bill ended up being $80.00 for a little cake, birthday hat and two toys. Super cute and different stuff but definitely expensive, but when you look at the location it's to be expected. Just an absolute God send because anytime I've needed anything this cute boutique dog shop never disappoints and has needful dog supplies and treats Last week for instance we encountered a freezing cold arctic blast with sub zero temperatures and high winds. Fortunately the owners kept their store open even though it was deadly cold outside. My relatively new family member Mr. Troika is only 10 months old and still going through his baby teething phase so he bit right through his FIFTH leash yet again and was lifting up his paws because of all the salts that were thrown on the ground to keep the ice from forming here on the pavement. I called here and asked if they had any doggie booties because Petco told me they were all sold out of extra large dog booties. Fortunately the owner here assured me they carried all sizes from xs to XL and he encouraged me to come in. We got here within the hour and even though the owner was clearly busy he helped me understand how to use the balloon booties properly to fit my puppy's extra large paws We left with the doggie booties over his paw pads and a brand new leash which absolutely saved the day for me! I occasionally come in here to buy yummy treats too and today we snagged a brand new find that Mr. Troika here absolutely loves -- polkadog...cod skins and it's a completely digestible crunchy stick your dog can eat and chew on in lieu of problematic raw hides. My dog's tummy is ultra sensitive and he can't eat rawhide but he loves these chew sticks! A huge thank you to the owners here because Troika loved walking in his new doggie booties and we will continue to support your cute local dog boutique. It wouldn't be the Gold Coast without a boutique pet store! I got a harness for my dog here that never wore out and she continues to stay warm in the winter with her new coat. They have a range of prices, but it is on the more expensive side so this is a "treat yourself" sort of pup store. My favorite are the pun-tastic squeaky toys. My dog has the "Tory Bark" "Furcedez Benz" and an "IPAW'D"! They also carry treats, rawhide, and plenty of beautifully decorated cookies. Adorable shop we stumbled across yesterday while wrapping up on our chocolate tour next store at More cupcakes. Located near the corner at Delaware and State. Steve doesn't allow me to dress Jackson in clothes and honestly, I'm not a big fan of it myself but I wanted to see what these guys had so we chose to go in. This is a small shop in a posh neighborhood. The staff was crazy friendly and the whole place is well organized. I admired some random stuff for dogs like a Burberry bandana, a non-skid placemat in the shape of a bone for the pups' and kitty's water and food dishes and some really cool stuff that helps with removing the gunk in the pup's eyes. We don't have that issue with our dog, but my mom's dog does and she could certainly use a product like this. They had all types of fashionable collars for our furry friends and plenty of sweaters and costumes for our pals. They had a full table of Halloween decorated treats ranging from $2 to $6 depending on the size. There was one adorable bone that had icing on it staying "I 'heart' Chicago" that I debated buying our boy, but then I found this super unique dog toy for Jackson, so we went with that instead. It was $13 or so, but I had never seen anything like it before. There is a guarantee for the toy as long as you save your proof of purchase and the packaging, so I have that stuff put to the side should our crazy dog rip this thing apart but it seems very durable so I hope we don't run into an issue. I marked them down one star because I found a few things unmarked and I'm not a big fan of that. I hate asking and then deciding its too expensive...I almost feel bad not purchasing in these instances. I really love the concept of a store like this that people can come to pamper their pets and find special and unique items. If I lived in the area, I would gladly support this local business. We find it hard to find toys that can withstand our small-but-extremely strong pup, so I would come in just to see if they had anything new or fun we could pick up for our boy. I always thought my boyfriend's dog was very spoiled until I walked in Tails in the City today and saw all the cute little dogs parading around in their trendy coats and booties (some of these dogs probably spend more on their outfits than I do). I couldn't let Summer be the outcast among the group so I picked out an adorable pink sweater and a collar. I can't justify spending the same amount of money on a dog sweater that I spend on my own sweaters so I hit the sale bins. Much more affordable and just as cute! The sales associate was very friendly and helped me find the right size sweater for Summer. She also assured me I could return the items at any time if they didn't fit. A fun pet boutique shop in Chicago with some items I have not seen elsewhere! We really fell for the treats they make special, such as the pretzel shaped treat with nonpareils. Oh and the bone shaped treat with I (heart) Chicago was adorable and nicely sized! We were on our way out when a super cute red and green collar caught our eye. Reminiscent of the old school Gucci colors and style we had to take one for our pup! Once home we put the collar on, love how it fits, really appreciate that it is adjustable for long-term use, and has kept its color, etc. even after lots of time in the sun, woods, and lake water! Much better selection online. I am in the market for a luxury dog purse and they did not have the model I wanted in the store. The store has wonderful clearance bins and the sales associates did ask if I needed anything. However I felt that if I brought in my dog and dressed more like I lived on Walton (I was wearing my winter North Face coat and no makeup) I would have gotten better service. Another woman who was there seemed to be getting the full on treatment "ohh let me gift wrap this for you and make this all pretty". Whereas for me it was like "okay thanks again. You can go now". I have to confess. I don't have a dog (or a pet) but I wish I did. So why am I shopping here? My mom was taking care of a neighbors' dog while they were on vacation. This dog practically spends just as much time at my parents' house (mostly with mom) as she does her own. Anyway, I wanted to get this dog something cute like a new collar or perhaps a Chicago themed shirt. Unfortunately, she is a rather unusually large Chihuaha (partly my mom's fault for spoiling her with treats) and might not fit into most of the shirts/outfits they had. So I decided on getting her treats. One of the owners (I think) recommended these gourmet soft treats (with turkey and other stuff), which are better for dogs' teeth and healthier than some of those decorated cookies on display. This boutique pet store has a nice selection of things for dogs. I bought a collar for my dog from them. Ellie (my dog) wore it for a couple of weeks, and I didn't like the way it was wearing where you fasten the collar. So since the receipt says "We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If for ANY REASON you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a full refund within 30 days. So I decided to return it. Well, they said I could not get a refund since it was not in saleable condition. It wasn't. However, their receipt explicitly says that you will get a refund for any reason. I had a discussion with them for about 15 minutes, but they would not budge. Also, I was not offered a store credit or anything. There is really no excuse for this. Visiting Chicago on business, so I just had to find a pet boutique to buy some gifts for our new puppy. It's a pretty small shop with a huge selection. Most of the sweaters and vests are incredibly cute, but at $45-60 per item, it's too expensive for a puppy that will outgrow it in a few months. So I passed on those. Instead, I went with 3 toys - a caterpillar, a crocheted/roped shark, and a Frenchie Roast frap hahahahaha. Also got 2 cookies to go as the staff told me that it stays fresh for 6 weeks. Would've loved to bring my puppy in to let him choose his own toys, but I think he'll be happy with my selection! read more

UNBELIEVABLE. THe male owner of this company was just called because I had ordered an expensive dog dress and a tuxedo shirt for a toy dog. THey arrived with dog hair on them. THe dress has obviously been worn, on display or RETURNED which is my guess. There is a pink stain by the label , a soiled stain and pilling from the leg and neck areas where it was either worn, washed or both. I was treated very rudely by this owner. He told me the items were new. BULLSHIT.......They are unacountable as hell. He was quick to get off of the phone with me. He knows he sent me USED stock. There were rhinestones missing off of the dog dress! This is so upsetting. He was arrogant and nasty. Read the other negative review below. This shop has been around for a while, and it is an upscale, adorable, beautiful bright shop with so many unique treats. It is definitely worth the tanti and 5-stars! Even if it isn't your dog's birthday, and your dog needs a little laetification, this is your spot. The area is "Pay to Park" and finding a legal parking spot is challenging. In the last several years I have put on my Emergency flashers (I am in and out in under 7 minutes). I don't recommend you double park for more than 10 minutes in this neighborhood. My 4-star rating is due to the parking issue. However, the treats and customer service are 5-star worthy. TIP: You can also order on-line. I appreciate this option, but love going to the shop in person to pick out a "treat" for Annie for her Birthday. I love this place! I am actually a proud CAT owner, but we still love it. I buy my cat (hairless Sphynx) cool tops, collars, leashes. They are actually made for dogs, but they fit great anyway! The workers/owners see proud and happy to work there, and truly love animals. I am impressed with their service and the fact that they remember your pet's name. I also enjoy the "extra's" like photos with an Easter Bunny for charity. I have not attended one of the special pet events at a club, but I will some day hopefully. I stopped in today, the sale collars on the street caught my eye. After all, the slogan- Your Dog Deserves Luxury- definitely applies to my picky pooch! After I stepped in the store, I decided I would shop for both my dog, and my friends dog- a HUGE-doberman(who comes up to my chest). I think I made that decision too quickly. This is definitely a small- foofette- type of dog shop. They had a nice selection of collars and leads, foofette travel bags, as well as cute toys. All of the collars, leads and toys would have been destroyed in 2 minutes flat by either of our dogs. That took them off the potential purchase list. They also had some cute dog tags- with rhinestones- I could not see these on either of our sizeable dogs. I did not see my friend being too thrilled with his tough looking dog outfitted with a rhinestone collar either. I settled on 6 cookies- 2 that have great cubs logos and 2 that resemble margaritas (with salt on the rims) and 2 that look like cup cakes- all for a total of 17.99- (Imagine my surprise! I forgot to ask the price first!!) Well- if luxury = expensive cookies- my dog and my friends dog lived in the lap of today! They did enjoy the 1 cookie they each got.
